My Witcher 3 disk has cracked. Long story short, kids are annoying and now the disk is unreadable.
I've put so many hours into this game so a friend told me I could download a new copy and the saved data, already on the system, would allow me to pick up where I left off.
I downloaded the new game. Only difference, I downloaded the Complete Edition with all the dlc/extra content. When I open the new game, it only gives me the option to start a new game and I see no way to access the saved data
Am I fucked? Did I mess up by downloading the complete edition, instead of the standard? PS Customer support said the complete edition difference wouldn't matter and just had me redownload the game and try again. They said that if it doesn't work, the saved data is corrupted and is lost.
Does that sounds right? Any advice is really appreciated.
