HDMI over Ethernet to multiple displays, has anyone around actually tried this out?

Basically I got a PSTV and it was remote crap all the stream your PS4 to your PC stuff is not good enough for my personal taste, buying another one would fix it but I'm literally the only one who plays and only bring it out when family is over on weekends. I was thinking of a way to get my PS4 to display on my living room as well, which is literally one wall away I'd say 30 feet tops from bedroom TV to living room TV, my dualshock would even work regardless of whether the PS4 in the room or in the living room .

The regular cable is already drilled through that wall and I'm thinking making the hole just a bit bigger to fit an Ethernet cable as well and rig some sort of 1 in 2 out HDMI Splitter plus a couple of ethernet to HDMI adapters on each end of an ethernet cable. Is that just crazy talk or has anyone around tried this and can let me know the results. My concern is probably bad input lag which would make the whole idea useless might as well just remote play then.
