Sonic crashes when trying to view leaderboards? Other problems with the game

Sonic is game of the year material for me but some really awkward design choices and oversights really hold the game back.

Leaderboards not working on ps4 seems something pretty bad

Some complaints I have with this game are: the excessive blue sphere stages that really cut through the gameplay, keeping the boring shield from sonic 1, the vast majority of bosses can be beaten by mindlessly suicide jumping them, no online racing, no online bean machine (the bean machine boss can be beaten with barely any effort at all), there's only one stage that's different between the characters (and maybe 2 or 3 stages with a knuckles only short path), the final emerald stage is waaaaaay too easy, there are TVs everywhere and some oversighted rings in the sky???).
