Which earbuds w*inline-mic actually work with the PS4?

Hey I know this issue has been brought up before but all posts on it seem to be old and potentially not relevant since software updates.

I want some earbuds with an inline mic that work with my PS4 controller. I was told that any with a microphone will work but I tried some none branded ones last night to no avail. The ones I tried have the 3 rings on the connector and have been tested on another device.

Is this just a matter of brand or have they removed the ability to use normal earbuds with inline mic?

It would be helpful if anyone could post with the brand and model of any earbuds they know for a fact work. My plan right now is to buy some Sony ones
