PSN account issues

Hey, guys, I was wondering if anybody was having the same issue as me. So back 2 years ago my account was banned because the name was inappropriate. I ended up having to call support and they were able to make a new account for me that would be linked to the inappropriate one so I wouldn't lose my in game content and purchases. Now I have had no problems with this until early August of this year I was unable to see which of my friends were online and they couldn't see me instead they saw my old account name but when they clicked on it, it gave them an error. It also said that we weren't friends but when they click to add me as a friend it said that we were already friends. The other problem is that I can't be invited to games because it shows my old account name, I can't invite friends in game because it says I have no friends online but I do, and I can't join friends through a party or join session through a profile. So about mid-September, my friends list works and people see me online but I still have the problem of not being able to invite friends and they can't invite me. I have contacted support 6 times and they keep having me do the same steps to "fix" the problems I am having and then they say we have a specialist working on the issue and that there is no time frame and no updates. I have been told I would get an email and a month passed with no email and I asked when I should contact support again today if my problem isn't solved and they said three days. I feel like this isn't going to be fixed and I'm finally tired of going through support only to redo the same steps and be told a specialist is working on it when it just feels like they're telling me that so I will leave them alone. I believe this issue would not have occurred if PlayStation would allow people to pay to change their online ID's but nope now I am in a loop of wasting time and not being able to play what I paid for. So has anybody else had issues like mine and/or know how I can get this fixed? Sorry for the rant and sentence structure if it offends anyone. Hope everybody is having a good day/night
