If I activate a one month PS+ account, will it expire at the end of the month, or after 30 days?

I know this a dumb question, but I've never used PS+ before. I have a 3 month PS+ card, so I was wondering if it will last 90 days, or if it will count the end of June as one month.

Also, if it does last 90 days, does that mean, I'll also be able to download September's free games?
