So every game I have I bought digital and the user I bought them on I don't even use I want to delete this user because I use a different one is there any way I can transfer my games to my other account and delete the user I bought the games from but be able to keep the games

Do PSN purchases not carry over ever?
I'm sorry if this is already understood, but searching this on Google only brought up a post from 2014. I had a PS3 for years. I have a bunch of purchases on there, but all I'm really interested in is FFVII. I ungraded to an XBOX ONE instead of the PS4 because I'm a huge Halo fan and the MCC ended up being a bust, so that sucked. Anyway... I just got a PS4 a week ago and haven't regretted it until now. (I don't regret it to the point of returning it, but this still is a little upsetting) Do I have to pay sixteen dollars to own FFVII on PS4, or is there something I have to do for it to recognize my PSN PS1 purchases? If I have to pay again, why? Is there a legitimate reason, or is it just a money scheme?
Mic won't work on PS4
So I have several headsets, mostly phone earbuds and then a set of PS4 headphones. I was doing great with the headphones for the longest time and then one day about 2-3 days ago my mic stopped working online.
I can hear everything through the headphones but nobody can hear me, at first I thought my mic maybe is broken but I tried all my other possible 3.5mm jack earbuds and headphones and they all have the same issue, despite all these options having a working mic on my computer or phone, for example, so it's definitely something on the PS4 side of things and I can't figure out what.
One thing worth mentioning is with the earbuds, when I go to the mic test screen, all I hear is a light buzzing sound registering in that mic at about 1/5-1/4 of the full volume bar.

Been playing BF1 but the updates in that game have killed it. I bought destiny 2 thinking it would be like destiny 1 PVP when it came out, but jesus was I wrong. This game is a pile of shit.

Quick background. I replaced my factory HDD soon as I got my PS4 years ago It was a 1TB SSD I have 291 Digital games and only like 3 on disc
Due to being all digital, I rarely if ever got the loud fan sound typically associated with playing a disc game.
Then, about three months ago, the fan started kicking in a LOT more. It started only with one game Paragon. And now it has graduated to almost every game including ones as graphically simple as Siralim.
I wanted to change my HDD anyway to a 2TB, so I did that and did a THOROUGH cleaning since my warranty is LONG past over
Now, after using the new HDD and cleaned unit for some time, it is CONSTANT fan sound and it's annoying as hell with how loud it is and how much heat it puts out. Doesn't matter what game.
Any ideas?

Ps4 internet browser lagging
So whenever Im watching streams on PS4 its its very laggy. Im noticing its getting worse, first it was only the first minute of a stream but now it remains through the entire stream. When watching Netflix through the app I have no problems. Also whenever Im done watching streams through the browser the UI of the ps4 remains laggy.
Anyone else have the same problem or know a fix, . Tried rebuilding the database.

PS4 remote play keeps crashing. Help?
It's probably something simple, but I've already googled this trying to figure out what my issue is, but I can't figure it out. Every time I start up remote play, it works fine, I can see my PS4 on screen - the issue is my controller shuts off every time, plugged in to the PC or not. I try to turn it on again and it makes me go to pick a profile, even if I'm already "signed in", and the program crashes. Do I HAVE to have a wireless adapter for my PC?
The keyboard works with remote play, so I can move around and do stuff, but once I connect my controller it screws up.
What is the issue? Does anyone know?

I think my disc drive died. Options?
I woke my PS4 up from rest only to hear grinding noises from the disc drive. The disc in there wouldn't eject. I managed to get the disc out via the manual eject screw, but when I tried to use it again the disc failed to read and subsequently became stuck again.
It's a CUH-1000/CUH-1110 model. It's not the newest iteration of the PS4, but at the same time it isn't the oldest either. I'm pretty disappointed. I would have figured a hardware issue such a this wouldn't exist in a second/third variation of the hardware. Maybe I just have bad luck.

So I just won Fortnite by watching a giveaway stream. After friending the person I recieved a notification saying they were gifting me the game and had me accept it. It would be interesting if they allowed us to gift people games rather than buying game cards or just giving then PSN cards.

Universal Remote not working properly
I have been using the universal remote for the PS4 for a long time and it has worked for everything.
Recently, the remote won't work for YouTube or Netflix. No buttons will work, but the ps home button. The batteries are new. Is everyone else experiencing this issue also?

Hey ya'll, I'm currently at work, doing a night shift and I always play my PS4 via Remote Play on Windows 10....
Today however, when I was at home, I was watching some YouTube and must have just put the PS4 into rest mode with YouTube still open... I've never had this problem before, I can usually just exit out of it like normal...
Now I'm at work on Remote Play I'm getting the error "Cannot display the current screen from the PS4 using Remote Play. To display the home screen of the PS4, press the PS button."
Now, I know how to usually do this, as I'll just hold the PS button and close the application but for some reason, nothing is responding... Luckily I have my PSVita with me too, but its the same error on both Windows Remote Play and PSVita Remote Play.
Do you have any suggestions? Is there any way I could restart my PS4?

PS4 not immediately connecting to internet when turned on
My ps4 used to connect to the internet immediately after being turned on but not it’s take a little while before it actually connects. I moved houses and my current internet is actually faster than my old internet. I’ve been using a lan cable for both but my current lan cable is different. Anyone know what could be the cause?

I've been an Xbox One/PC fanboy for several years. My reason for buying an Xbox One was because it was the underdog and it had a lot to prove; this was before backwards compatibility, etc came out. I loved the Xbox because it was more than just a game system, plus it had Kinect.
My impression of PS4 was a bare bones system primarily focused on games. I knew there was a touchpad on top which I wasn't excited about.
Anyway, my sister in law got married and so I decided to get the limited edition PS4 pro with Destiny 2 with all its add-ons so I could play with my new brother in law who has a PS4. I was honestly expecting to be blown away by Destiny 2 on the pro. I wasn't really; it was more of the same. It took a little to get used to the controller too. I like it though and have used up two whole nights on it so far!
But I got infamous second son for free with the PS4 plus trial and saw just how cool the PS4 controller was. So many cool almost intuitive things you can do in infamous second son with the touchpad which I now understand as a hybrid touchpad and button in one. And it has its own speaker and gyroscope too! This makes the PS4 controller superior to the Xbox controller in my opinion because it just has more options.
I also like that the PS4 has dynamic themes whereas the Xbox just has backgrounds.
Anyway, I went into owning a PS4 raw without knowing anything about it but I am liking it so far! I wish you could turn it on and off with the Logitech harmony hub though. And the options button is so small compared to the touch pad that I sometimes accidentally press the wrong thing.
Pretty excited to have this system. Whereas I might have lamented in the past for not having access to great games like the last of us, now everything is available and I have to decide which system to get it on now!

Hey guys. I'm interested in buying a pair of headphones. I have my eye on the Bose QC25s for just casual listening on the go, but also for gaming on the PS4.
I've read that the Apple version of their in-line mic doesn't work on the PS4, is this true? How do I differentiate between the mic cables? How do I know if the QC25s I'm buying have an Android mic or an Apple mic? When I go to the store to check out their model on display, what features separate the two and what should I look for to differentiate the two?

Sup, my brother is using my PS4 for watching youtube on the app, and to play games. Meanwhile i use my PC to watch youtube/twitch and play games. But whenever he watches YT i cant for the life of me do anything on the PC. cuz the quality is set so high. And it takes up all the bandwidth. We got about 1000/500Kb/s down. The internet has been shit lately.
Is there a way to turn down the quality on the PS4? If not, I'm not letting him use my PS4 ever again haha.
Help - constantly having to renew license after transferring to a PS4 Pro
Hi all, my boyfriend is having some issues, he’s recently bought a PS4 Pro. He transferred all the data from his old PS4 to the Pro, set the Pro as his primary console but every time he turns the Pro on, there’s always a lock symbol on the games and he has to go into the settings to renew the license.
We’ve tried Googling for a solution but can’t seem to find the answer as to why he would have to renew the licenses every time he turns the Pro on. Has this happened to anyone else and how did you solve it/does anyone have any ideas of what to do to try and fix it?

Can someone explain why my PS4 isn't working?
So I bought a used PS4 a few months ago and the fan was incredibly loud. I dealt with it for a while but then I wanted to try and fix it. I opened it up, cleaned up the fan, put it back together, and then when I turned it on it said it was checking system storage status. It gets stuck at 13 percent for a while then moves up to 29 and then blacks out. I thought i put everything back how it was but I must've screwed something up. I can't send it into Sony cause there is no warranty. Has anyone else had this problem?

All of the apps work fine but I have to go to the store and "re-download" them. It takes 3 seconds then it says I own the game again but I don't get what's going on with it. It's happened with anything I've downloaded, dlc or full games.

How to deactivate console as primary
So I signed into a friends PS4 while i was staying there and acitvated that PS4 as my primary, Im trying to deactivate it and its telling me i can do it online. However when I sign in on my computer to do it, it tells me its already been done in the last 6 months, however ive never activated it with anything else. Is there a work around this?

Hi all, I am a huge dork and not ashamed to admit it, haven't gamed for a while.
My wife is going out of town for a month, she does this once a year. When she's not around I get painfully bored. When she's here, i don't have this issue and don't really play games at all except on my phone sometimes.
I am contemplating getting a refurb PS4 so I can play a few games while she's gone, but not sure its worth the price if I'm only going to play for 1 month. I have never had a PS4 and really want to play newest Resident Evil & Metal Gear Solid, also the Last Guardian and maybe Ico/Shadow of the Colossus. I have a MAC so can't get any games on there.
I wish there was a way I could borrow someone's ps4 for a month but none of my friends play games.

I currently have my original PS4, that I got on launch day, but am thinking about picking up a PS4 Pro as well. I want to keep both, and have them in separate rooms. The Pro will become my primary console that I'll probably use for games most of the time, and while the original PS4 will mostly be used for PS Vue and Netflix, I do plan to occasionally game on that as well. This leads me to a few questions...
- Can I be logged into both PS4's with the same PSN ID/Account?
- Can I game on both at the same time or watch PS Vue on one and game on the other?
- Most of my game are digital, can I download games on both?
- Can I save to PSN cloud storage and be able to pick up where I left off on either console?

[Help!] Minecraft survival world PS4 Cloud save downloaded, comes up blank!
To make a long story short I started a survival world with a buddy on PS4 and we spent more than a month building a nice base and had everything set up for our journey to the end. I had the bright idea, since it was saved on his account, that I would go onto the world under his account and we can simply download the changes from the cloud... well, when he downloaded my changes it wiped everything... except where we were standing. So there is some data there, but all of our work is gone.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I would rather not start a new world.

Recording PS4 Gameplay
As mentioned in a previous post I'm looking at getting a ps4 & what I hope to do once I get It is record gameplay footage for my YouTube channel but I don't have the money for an editing PC in order to edit & capture gameplay. alright, so my PS4 seems to be a little screwy right now.
lent it to my brother, in working order and now i have received it with some bad news.
the story he gave me: "it was sitting on the floor and the dog sat on it and now it doesn't work"
the symptoms: when i power on it blinks blue then turns to a steady white light after 10 seconds. I've changed the HDMI cord, plugged it into two different TVs, unplugged the AC cord for a day and the system will not allow me to enter safe mode.
i've been bouncing around on the sony troubleshooting websites for hours to no avail.
any ideas on what i should do?

this topic is a bit complicated so please bear with me. I own a 2014 model Samsung full hd TV and the regular ps4 and I've always wondered whether my TV supports Deep Color or not. Mainly because I don't know if there are any negative effects when turning Deep Color on mistakenly, like setting the console to full RGB and the TV to limited, which results in wrong colors and crushed blacks. About the Deep Color setting itself I know that when on automatic, the PS4 color depth output is bumped up from 8-bit (True Color) to 10 or 12-bit Deep Color. But to use it the TV needs to have the correct panel, which should be 10 bit at least, in order to support deep color. But since I couldn't find anything about deep color or the color depth of my set, I just tried to see what exactly happens when turning deep color on or off. And after testing it with several games, I made an interesting discovery.
I noticed that when Deep Color is on automatic/turned on, the colors become more saturated and there are less visible jagged edges in games, it’s as if Deep Color turns up the anti-aliasing but the bad part is the input lag also increases. Deep Color turned off makes the colors look a bit less saturated with the overall picture getting a bit brighter and jaggies getting more visible but there is less input lag.
But after all I wasn't sure if I'm just imagining things. So I searched the internet and after searching for a while, I finally found confirmation here on reddit. Someone made the same observation already in 2014 and summed it up nicely in one sentence in this post.
"Deep color output" causing slight input lag, but better colors & slightly smoother images.
The thing is, I don't know whether the increase in input lag only happens with TV's that don't support deep color. Then I found here that the Xbox One has the same setting, the only difference is that you can choose which color depth you want separately (8, 10 or 12-bit) and if you set it on 10 or 12-bit while your set only supports 8-bit, it can add a slight amount of lag to your game. Just like it does at my set when turning Deep Color on. So this should mean that my 2014 TV most likely doesn't support it, but things that don’t seem right to me are that even the PS3 back then had a deep color setting and Sony did even ship it with deep color turned on since launch back in 2006 and only later released an update allowing you to turn deep color off. Or why, for example, is deep color set to automatic by default on the PS4?
A serious error has occurred in the system software
Well this just happened to me a couple of hours ago and while I manage to retrieve the accounts, the game saves are gone.
Was their a way I couldve save it?

The tl;dr of this game is... It's similar to PUBG. Giant bus flies over a huge island, 100 players are in the bus. Everyone ejects and spreads out across the map. You start with basically nothing and find weapons / materials along the way. Last man standing wins. The map boundaries become smaller as time goes on.
It's a dynamic experience. I've only played about 20 matches, but I find myself in different, tense situations every time. Definitely check this game out. Not only is it an experience we haven't really got to dive into on consoles, but it will be FREE.

Last week I purchased a PS4 along with Playstation Plus and a couple games and joined the Playstation Network.
In the middle of the game, suddenly my Playstation Network disconnected and I couldn't log back because it said "Playstation Network is currently under maintenance" - while it wasn't.
I looked everywhere online and couldn't find a solution, just a bunch of mad people who had this problem for months and want to/sold their playstation for Xbox 1 (Unforgivable!)
After figuring both my access point and router get the same error, I tried logging into PSN using my Phone's Hotspot (Consumes data at an amazing level) and it worked!
I tried changing my MTU settings to 1472/1473 I tried changing DNS to 8.8.8.8 with secondary 8.8.4.4
I tried everything and nothing worked, until surprisingly I tried to set up a proxy server, ended up on some weird website (That I found out is legitimate) and it had a guide on how setting a different DNS that doesn't belong to Google can fix a whole bunch of PSN problems...
So there you have it:

Through PS4 Internet Settings > Set your DNS manually to > Primary DNS: 64.145.73.5 Secondary/Alternate: 209.107.219.5
Also, I just want to state a couple things:
- I tried it a couple hours ago, so far it works great without problems.

Signs of a faulty HDD?
My PS4 has had trouble, since the day I bought it, loading textures properly. I've only got two games yet, Arkham Knight and Horizon, and both are well optimised for the console, but on my PS4 the textures load slowly, and both games have massive FPS drops when ever there are many things occurring on the screen.
Is this a faulty HDD issue, my HDD has had shock damage, or is the console itself which is faulty? I checked and my HDD is a Toshiba one. Not sure if they are reputable or not, though.

Why is Divinity: Original Sin on PS4 so expensive?
As much as I'd love to play Divinity 2, I don't think my modest laptop could cope. So I thought I'd try the first one on PS4. On X-Box One it seems pretty easy to pick up new for around £15-20. On PS4 though, cheapest I can find is £30+ per-owned and in excess of £60 for a new, sealed copy. I can't work out the reason for the price disparity across consoles. Is the PS4 version somehow superior?

How to fix the PS4 ejecting discs
I've seen this asked about recently and I could confirm from doing this myself, that this works.
Under the eject button, there is a little rubber footing.
After time, heat expands this rubber and it gets dirty.
With the console off, turn it over, or lift it up. Then remove the footing and clean it, and the slot it took up. Replace the footing and the discs should not eject again.
Is anyone else getting a stupid amount of random group messages through PSN?
Hi all. I had the PS app on my phone, and about two weeks ago the notification tone kept going off like crazy. Couldn't check it fully at the time, but fired up my PS4 when I got home and saw that I'd been added to some random "GTA Nazi" group by people I don't know.
Left the group and reported it. Next day, I get about 10 notifications in 30 seconds. I was added to another shitty group on psn that was going crazy with messages.
Before these incidents, I was getting more and more messages from random single users too. To me they seemed like bots or something, but I can't be sure.
This only started happening in the last month or so. Anyone else?

Anyone know how to resolve sprint glitch properly for PS4 controllers, and how it's caused?
In a lot of games where you use L3 to sprint, it glitches by repeatedly slowing me down and it can get really annoying. It is most noticable in Destiny 2 and Call of Duty. I have searched on YouTube for solutions and they are only temporary (such as blowing into the thumbstick space, or cleaning with anti-stick spray, although I haven't actually tried proper WD-40 or anything like that). Does anyone have any fixes for this?
Also, I'm curious as to how this occurs. Is it a build up of dirt and dust under the thumbstick? Thanks in advance

So I have a day one PS4... From day one I ripped out the hard drive and replaced it with a SSD... and so far all has been good. But last month I ran out of space (500GB) and I got a new 1TB SSD... after the install I hear a noticeable clicking on start and reboot.
Anyone else hear a click click on boot up?

So I bought Battlefield 1 from JBHI-FI and I got it unsealed, this is annoying as I don't get the satisfaction of taking the seal off and having it feel fresh. This is the 2nd time this has happened from last time being Ghost Recon Wildlands. Is this normal when they give you it unsealed?

ATTENTION: all SOULS and Bloodborne fans...
...if you dont know jack shit about monster hunter world, please do yourself a favor and keep your eye out for this game. The US release is around January and it looks fucking great. Its can be enjoyed solo or 4 player coop. Shit load of weapons, armor, crafting, and monsters. Lots and Lots of Monsters!!! I understand they are two different games but from someone who played countless hours of MH/DS/BB, i feel the combat feels really similar. Theres fat/fast roll and stamina used based on what weapon and armor you have equipped, ETC. This franchise is really fucking popular overseas but in the US not so much because handhelds isnt so popular here. But who cares now?!? We're getting this beauty on our current gen consoles. Why does party chat only come out through one ear in my headset?
My orginal earbud messed up so I got myself a $30 headset from Amazon, anyways I have searched into this and it appears many people also have a problem with this. Has this ever been resolved? When im playing and Im in party chat, literally there's nothing coming from the right ear. What about the Gold PS4 Headset does that have this issue as well? PS4's auto shut off not working with the new Netflix 1.29 update?
I like to fall asleep to Netflix, and could easily do that knowing that after the 1.5 hours the power saving setting would turn off my PS4. But now I wake up in the morning and find that the PS4 has been on all night, looping the new idle screen Netflix now does. I'm no rocket surgeon, but I'm guessing it's this automatic loop which Netflix goes into after inactivity that keeps the PS4 from shutting off.

Destiny 2 controller issues
I have been having some extreme issues with my Ps4 while playing Destiny 2. Randomly, my character will do a sharp turn and stop responding to inputs, but will continue to turn. The length isn't consistent but usually less than 3 seconds. The frequency isn't consistent - Sometimes I can go hours in between and sometimes it pops up every 5 minutes.
After researching, I came across a couple of threads:
Like other commenters: It's only this one game, i have tried multiple controllers, etc.
The common theme is that it's only with the Ps4 though. No reports from Xbox users. So, that leads me to the guessing game of why. I don't understand the technical side well enough to educate a guess, so I figured i'd ask here. Could it be a faulty version of the console we (me and the others in the threads with trouble) happen to have? Could it be just some bluetooth receiver issue that would be solved with a newer controller that's plugged in (I believe those make a direct connection, right? Where older ones use bluetooth regardless)?
But then, what makes it only this game? Could it be that the Ps4 version has some fault? What would be reasonable steps to remedy it?

I just got my PS4 yesterday, update it and log into my PS account. Everithing is fine, except the store. The store and everything related to shopping is awful slow. Crappy slow. The solution, accordinly to internet, is restore database in Safe Mode, but I can't acess it.
When I turn it on and release the power button on the second beep, the led turns white and the screen remains black for eternity. Some people said to remove from the wall power, leave it so for a minutes and try it again. Doens't worked either.
Anybody has another sugestion? Nothing else is wrong with the console. No error messagens, drops on the floor, etc.

Anyone finding Project Cars 2 difficult even for experienced racers?
I have played most all the racers from Dirt to Forza to GT and even Project Cars 1. I never use assists.
Anyways starting the formula rookie championship and literally first race I restarted like 10 times. And I couldn't get in top 5.
Been enjoying despite my struggles. Looks great on my Pro. But dang it's difficult, maybe it's just these formula races, was never really great with that class type. I was playing Project Cars 1 last few days to hype for this and was actually doing quite well, a lot better then this! And yes I use controller, always have grown accustomed to it over the years and could beat other racers easily.
Edit- I don't think it's the controls, seem fine except spinning out with the formula carts after tires get worn down after a lap or two. Think I'm just not used to driving them. But the AI overall seems faster and better then most racers.

Hi I'm new to this forum I just bought a PS4 today I'm trying to pair my controller the controllers light bar fades in and out of yellow what does this mean and why wont my controller pair when the USB cable is connected to the controller and the PS4 I've tried resetting the controller by pressing that small button right under the L2 button I don't know if I'm doing it wrong ive also tried pairing the controller with the console in safe mode please someone help
PS4 rejecting CD's mid-game, when idle, making the console do weirds noises... even when the system is off.
Last year my PS4 started to very randomly eject CDs of games, once every few months. And only when the system was idle. With time those got more frequent. Now every week the console just ejects CDs of games at any times, mid-game or when idle. The console rejecting the CD mid game is very annoying, specially now that I'm playing Battlefield 1. Also, when this happens, the noise the console makes when rejecting the CD, a short bip bip, the console keeps doing that sound until the console is turned off.
A few nights the console started doing that bip bip sound randomly, when the system has been off for hours, without the console turning on, and will make the sound non-stop and I need to unplug the power cable. Can anybody here help me out with this? I don't think I can send my console to Sony where I live.

You need a sword with "3 slashes = ammo" perk and you can R2 Taviks to get unlimited ammo.
Pretty useful as Taviks battle is really stingy with ammo drops.
Not sure this is an overlooked thing or working as intended.

Tekken 7 installation problem
I insert disc, starts installing but when it gets to 10.8 it’s pauses and doesn’t let me do anything. Tried installing it offline and online same thing happens. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or what am I doing wrong? Btw I’m asking here because I have already tried searching it with no luck.

Not sure if anyone can help but since upgrading to the PS4 Pro, every time I turn it on, I have to restore all my licenses in order to use any apps or games.
Is there something I can do for it it store the licenses sonic don't have to do this every time? I transferred the data and games from the old console using a Ethernet cable, deactivated the old console, and have activated my Pro as my primary console, but am still getting the same problem.
What do you guys think of Crossout?
I've played it on PC and just found out it was on PS4, it's a pretty fun game with good destruction physics and driving mechanics but it looks like a heavy ripoff of Borderlands or the vehicle combat anyway. Whilst it gets grindy it's still fun messing around with what you have to give your car more health or more damage, the free to play aspect helps too but I was surprised at the tiny playerbase (7.5k on PC, not sure how many on PS4). But yeah I want to know what other people think of it.
What is a good game to buy for a working professional with a few scattered hours to play.
I bought Destiny 2, but it seems that you can only be competitive online if you put a lot of hours to upgrade your weapons. I want a cool game you can just pick up and play online.

I play most of the time using the PS4 Remote Play app on my Mac as my wife or kids use the TV.
I'm curious as to why I cannot record gameplay, or even have that auto 15 minute record set up?
Whenever I start the app, it tells me recording has been paused.
Can I work around this or am I limited?

I couldn't figure out how to add my older sister (we are 22 and 24) to my playstation without making her my 13-year-old daughter. So now she's technically a minor with a child account. Did i mess up? Was there an easier way to do that?
She is planning on one day getting her own ps4. When she does that, will she be able to easily transfer from being a sub account on mine, to a master on hers? How would she go about doing that?

Did I cause any damage to my ps4?
I live in a very dusty house with dogs and to be safe I bought a dust cover for my brand new ps4 slim. I've only had the system about a week. I only put the cover on when I'm not using it, but accidentally I realized I had the cover on the ps4 last night while the system was in rest mode (the orange light was on). I know I didn't have any games or files downloading/updating because so far I only have a few old games downloaded. I'm probably just being paranoid and I'm gonna throw the dust cover out, but do you think I did any damage? The last thing I wanna do is overheat the ps4 as soon as I got it.

Signing in says I'm banned. Sony insists I'm not.
I tried to sign in to my PSN account yesterday to get an error saying I was banned for violating the terms of use, even though I'm fairly certain I didn't. I googled the error code I got (WS-37368-7) and found it was a chargeback error.
I contacted Sony and explained, but they claim that on their end my account is in good standing and I have no chargebacks on their record. They also claim I'm not banned, but even now when I try to sign in its saying I've been banned.
This is really frustrating as I just bought Kingdom Hearts 1.5/2.5 last night and I was really excited to play it, but now I can't because of a problem Sony claims doesn't exist.
EDIT: I'm aware of how fixing a charge back works. The problem is Sony won't let me fix it because they say I'm not banned in the first place.
A friend who has had a similar problem in the past has informed me that it might take a few days for the ban/charge back to register on Sony's end, so I guess I'm just playing the waiting game now.

Corrupt Game Disc?
My PS4 is less than 3 months old. It stays in a cool well ventilated area where it remains untouched unless I insert a disc. The past few weeks, I have left Final Fantasy XV in the drive and lately when I start the PS4 from rest mode, it says the disc is corrupt. When I eject and reinsert the disc, it works just fine. The other weird thing is that this same game randomly uninstalled itself and I had to reinstall the entire game including DLC and patches.
I’ve moved all of my games from the internal hard drive to my external hard drive since then. This issue hasn’t happened in a while though, but I feel like they’re somehow related.
I am not sure if this is related but every so often, Lego City Undercover would just crash for what seems no reason. This is PSN game download.
No other games have issues.
Should I be worried? Should I replace the internal hard drive with an 1TB SSD and reinitialize it? What are your thoughts?
White Light of Death?
Hi. My PS4 was working ok until I had moved it and then tried to turn it back on, there is no sound or audio picture on any screens since that I have tried and I have tried to do a hard reset/etc. I have also tried multiple HDMI cables that work on other devices. Once turned on the light is a solid white.
I've checked the previously submitted posts but nothing seems to have helped, time to buy a new PS4?

So I'm having this problem where i start shareplay and if anyone tries to join it'll just show a blue screen without any words and say cannot connect this has never happened before as i was able to shareplay quite alot.. I would really appreciate if someone can help..
Potentially Dumb Question RE: External HDD and PS4/PS4 Pro
So for Christmas, the wife and I might be splurging on a 4k... I've wanted one, and they're starting to be a lot more affordable than in previous years. With that, I'd (eventually) want to get the PS4 Pro. I currently have a standard PS4 with a few DL games on an attached external HDD...
My dumb question is - would the PS4 Pro recognize the HDD as formated w/ PS4 games and be able to transfer the games back just fine? Or would it be a foreign HDD since it is a different system?

Recently I've bought Sony platinium headset, but it turned out to be really shitty from sound's perspective - the build quality, comfort, and accessibality are 8/10 for me but the sound on surround is really well below expectactions - I've used sound profiles and games that support them - still it was subpar for that price range. Only when wired the sound was good, but it kind of make it useless.
So my question is what are alternatives for it? From what I can gather these are really great:

- beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO(headphones)

I was able to use my clip on share factory and then use that clip to upload to youtube the exact same clip I had on game folder... and like I said other game video uploads work just fine. Just that Destiny 2 doesn't work.

How is the performance on the PS4? Any bugs or long loading times? I know the PC version has a fast-forward button, does the PS4 version also have one? Is the gameplay fun?

Any advice on a PS4 compatible speakerphone?
The kids often play online multiplayer with friends in a party. When switching turns, it's always a hassle with the headset. Also, only the player that has the controller + headset has the ability to speak to the party what isn't that pleasant for the other one.
We have tried configuring the PS4 to output the chat audio to the TV, but it's always a bit of a challenge of finding the right balance between chat- and gameaudio. Also, since it's an over-ear headset, the one playing doesn't hear the audio as good, so they have to turn up the audio to a level beyond what I could like it to be. This in turn feeds the audio back into the mic. And to add to that, since they can't hear the audio that well, they always have the tendency to shout instead of talk.
So basically what I was thinking about, was took hook up a speakerphone to the unit that we can place on the table or ground, so that they can both hear and speak in the party.
It would be nice if I could hook it up to the PS4 (either wired or bluetooth) rather than to the controller, but if not that would still be ok.
Any recommendations?
If I am getting an external hard drive for my PS4, should I use it exclusive for the console, or will I be fine for multi-use?
After getting tired of constantly uninstalling and reinstalling games on my PS4, I am finally upgrading my space on my PS4 with an external hard drive... yea! However I am also looking at upgrading an older 500GB Hard drive that I primarily use for backing up my computer/have a few movies on..etc.
My question is that, Should I get separate hard drives for each purpose, or will I be fine with one hard drive with slightly larger space? It would be primarily used for the PS4, but I would link it in with my computer every month or so to back that up.
Also, any suggestions on what is best to buy would be welcome. I am thinking either this 4TB Seagate that's on Amazon, or This 4TB WD external that Best Buy has on sale..

Advice on new headset for ps4 PRO
So I currently have this headset, and it is amazing: Tritton Katana HD
There is only one major flaw with this headset, and that is it will not support 4k. You see this headset has a base station that you plug the HDMI from ps4 and from that base into the TV, so you get full HD sound.
I have a ps4 pro, and 4k tv so can't use this headset and get 4k resolution.
So I'm on the lookout for a new one. I have previously owned one of the ps4 gold wireless headsets and was pretty happy with it. It can not compare to the KATANA headset however.
What are the best headsets for console that don't mess with 4k? I can find a single one that supports 4k and HD sound at the same time, I'm guessing it doesn't really exist at the moment unless you get some studio equipment or something.

is the headset volume controller grayed out? yeah.
have you tried using it on a pc? Tried it, worked fine, controls and the like working as intended.
can you control it on the ps4? yes, the control menu and all the beeps make their sounds and the changes show up on the ps4, the dongle and the headset are synced up.
have you tried resetting it? i have indeed, i have reset it through the reset dongle button method, and through the factory default option in the playstation app.
one useful tidbit of information is that the console simply calls it "audio headphones" rather than "gold ps4 headphones" or whatever.

I've tried connecting multiple devices as well as use different USB cables, but it seems like the ports aren't giving out any power. PS4 Keeps disconnecting from internet!! Please help!
So for some reason my PS4 keeps disconnecting me from everything. I'll be playing Destiny 2 with my friends, and all of the sudden it just kicks me offline. My friend is in the other room playing just fine, so I know it's not an internet issue. We are both hardwired in. I have no idea what the problem is!
After I restart my PS4 it works fine for anywhere between 5 minutes to an hour, and then it kicks me off again.
Does anyone happen to have a quick fix for this??
Edit: I switched ethernet ports on the router and it still has this issue.
Can I skip downloading a game if I have the CD for it?
There was a recent offer on battlefield 1 where the premium edition was only 5 dollars more expensive than the season pass by it self. So I was like fuck it I'll buy the game again and sell my copy. But the problem is that it's a sizable download so is it possible to go transfer the game files from the cd into the PS4 and then be able to play the game without the cd since I already have it purchased through the psn store?

Lately my PS4 has been ejecting my discs and beeping like crazy. Sometimes it even does it when turned off. Has anyone else had issues with this? Is this some sort of problem a software update can fix or is it my hardware?

Looking for a good JRPG
Lately, I've been having a strong urge to play a good jrpg. I've been through FFXV, FFX-X2, and all the Kingdom Hearts series. I've played some entries in the Star Ocean series, but haven't played the newest one. I've read all the reviews for NieR: Automata and Persona 5, and they sound good, but I don't really know anyone that's played them to know what they're like. Of course, familiar worlds such as Digimon and Sword Art Online always have appeal.
There's just so many choices, but none of them really jumps out at me as the one. They all seem good. I just wanted to see what others had to say on these, or any other jrpg titles.

Account game has been played on is Region 1 based (US) 3. If I were to purchase DLC (Region 1) for the game, will it work? Or will I be limited to buying DLC for Region 2?
On a separate note, this has no effect on what account I make for my "Primary PS4" setting correct?

I just bought my PS4 and I'm having trouble to set up the internet. In my dorm, when I plug the cable or use the Wi-Fi, the browser usually pops with a log in screen to put out my data. When I try to do this on PS4 and open the browser, the ps4 says to log in to Playstation Network first...
It shows the error CE-32899-1 and says the DNS server is not set when I try to do some internet ralated things.

Why does my ps4 get slower download speeds than my laptop and other devices?
So i recently got the 100mbps package with AT&T Fiber. Now my laptop gets the advertised speeds but my ps4 regularly only gets about 10 mbps. Occasionally i'll get 20 but its not consistent at all. All my speed tests are done while connected with ethernet.

Populated Racing games on PS4
So with racing season upon us with the release of tons of great racing games, I'm in the mood for some online racing because... I can't afford 80$ games...

PS4 v4.74 HDD upgrade error CE33310-0 success story
I just tried upgrade my PS4 HDD from the original 500mb to a 2tb drive I recently purchased, and almost immediately, I hit a number of upgrade issues, most importantly I hit CE33310-0, and wanted to give a shout out to /u/TheSnarkAtWinterfell who provided the following reddit post which was the only helpful suggestion out of so many posts acorss Reddit and Playstation forums, which state to blow everything away and start over again:
There seems to be some gaps in the upgrade process in which most talk about the initial upgrade .PUP file which is needed to get a bare HDD up to a minimum OS version, but still causes the CE33310-0 error and doesn't allow the final restore process to happen. I do not even see this solution in the official /r/PS4 how to for upgrading the hard drive in IMGUR: http://ift.tt/2jMDSfJ
This is my story to approach this to help anyone who hits this in the future.
First off, make sure to completely upgrade the PS4 to the latest firmware available. Backup all trophy and games states to PSN where possible. Backup the apps and system data to a FAT32 or ExFAT usb drive.
Most upgrade posts outline the initial ~800mb .PUP files which is necessary to download to a USB drive, and install this when initializing after the HDD replacement. Turns out that after the initial initialization of this file, There is a second file which also needs to be installed. After the first .PUP is installed and the system initialized, you go through the process to setup the system and get to a basic user. You then need to reboot the system into safe mode (when PS4 is fully off, press power and hold for 7 seconds and hear the second beep), and choose "update system". You will need a LAN cable connected to get the system to download this final file.
What I suspect is that the first .PUP file (~800) is the basic operating system, and the the final upgrade process downloads the ~300 .PUP files which must exactly match the version that the backup was done with. I believe this because when going through the second update system step when in safe mode, it shows the download progress as ~300mb.
When I tried to restore after the first initialization, I got the CE33310-0 error which seems to be impassable. Research shows a lot of people who just gave up, and started from scratch using their PSN saves and redownloading all games over again. You can imagine my feeling when I go to a playstation forum and see the following:
By using the two-step upgrade process as above, I was fully able to completely restore from backup and all system settings are working as expected.
Just thought I would send this out for the next person who gets this error and see all of the people who gave up, and then has to spends days (weeks) rebuilding their system from scratch. I couldn't imagine how people would feel if they read the other posts and didn't have PSN accounts to backup their data too. Some users reported this to Sony, whose seem to respond with "SOL, start over again!".

Rubber on DS4 thumbstick ripping, can i replace just the rubber part?
Can i just pop off the rubber part without taking the controller apart, and install a new rubber grip? I feel like you can't, because instructions online seem to indicate that you have to take the controller apart.
I see those rubber caps that you can buy, but those are not replacements for the original rubber grip right? Those are intended to be placed on top of the original rubber grip?
So does that mean i have to take apart the controller, and replace both the plastic stick part and the rubber grip (sold as 1 piece i guess)?

On the Sony website it says "Game updates (patches) and system software updates are automatically downloaded and installed.".
I keep having to launch my games for them to tell me that they need to update. Isn't that what an auto update feature (that I'm paying for through ps+) is there for?
Everything is ticked in my system settings, as per Sony's "how to".
I don't get it. Went to bed last night playing a game (bf1), put my console in rest mode, and today I try to launch the game and it tells me it needs to update.

You should be able to adjust the volume of individual players in a party
It's such a pain being in a party with someone that is quiet even with their mic maxed and then someone else is intermittently loud and crowding that person out making it near impossible to hear both. I had to keep telling the person repeatedly to adjust their mic volume lower and even when they finally did it still somehow managed to climb its way to being too loud again.
It would be so much easier if we were able to adjust the player volumes individually on our end to avoid repeatedly having to tell someone to change their volume and interrupting game play.

Controller left stick becomes mapped to both sticks mid-game? anyone else had this?
Hey, I'm having serious issues with my controller and I'm hoping someone here might be able to offer some advice on how to fix it. The issue is that during a game ( Battlefield One and Destiny 2) the forward direction on the left stick will not only make me walk forward, but also turn to the left. left, right and backwards on the left stick will work as normal, but pressing forward will move forwards and begin the rotate. each time it happens it turns at a different speed. It's not drift from the right stick as remaining stationary or moving in any direction other than forward will not rotate the character. This also affects menu's etc and happens in both games so I'm pretty sure it's the controller... but it doesn't appear to be a mechanical fault. I have tested another controller and that one works fine ( although that one suffers from sprint glitch). Anyone heard of anything like this happening? I have tried resetting the controller but i'm not sure that's actually resetting it. it seems to just turn the controller off. then when I turn it on again it is already paired to the PS4. and it doesn't do anything to fix the problem. I've had the PS4 a little over a year and this is the 2nd controller to just FAIL . If anyone could offer some advice it would be most appreciated.

Why do the software updates do basically nothing to my console and my friends one? My friends console is hella laggy and slow af. My console will be the same. Also we clean out the dust once every 2 months out of the console but it seems to do basically nothing. Is anyone getting the same problem?

Hey so I just got a ps4 but idk which audio format should I be using... I found many topics on the internet but they are so confusing and my problem is quite simple... my ps4 is Connected to my tv (which has 2 speakers) via HDMI. Really enjoying the Wildlands PvP Beta
Have not seen much discussion on this but I downloaded the Ghost Recon PvP Beta today and its pretty awesome. I dont own the base game but I am liking the gameplay quite a bit and its definitely intrigued me to check it out.
However I must say the PvP is fucking awesome. Played it with my buddy and it was definitely more of a tactical experience with lots of teamwork. The gunplay and cover mechanics are solid and overall I'm having a blast. Definitely a more fun experience with friends.
Anyone else checked the beta out at all? Curious to see what everyone has to say because this caught me by surprise. I always thought Wildlands looked kinda shit in general but this has definitely changed my mind and the PvP is a huge addition to the game that I always thought was missing.
Neverwinter online vs ESO
I really crave mmo (ex WoW addict), for the time being I'm stuck with PS4 so it's basically ESO or Neverwinter. FF14 is wayyy too casual for me and the maps make me claustrophobic so let's leave it out of the equation.
ESO is great but I really would prefer a classic mmo combat rather than action-style, that brings us to NWO. As I said I never tried it myself, graphics are quite outdated and the UI isn't too pretty but I am willing to look past it as long as it is a real MMO experience.
How is the population nowdays? What is the leveling experience like and how is the end game content? Is it basically a dead game kept alive to milk $? Do devs continously support it?
What is the best method of using PS4 remote play?
I've been thinking about getting myself either a PSVita, Sony/Andriod phone that supports it or buying the R-Play app that enables remote play with any Apple device via iTunes Store.
At the moment, I'm strongly thinking of getting the R-Play app and ordering a DualShock Game Mount.
However, before I go on ahead of myself, I would like to know from those who've used this feature to give me a better understanding of which one provides a better experience overall.
Question regarding Application data and DLC
So, I am a new ps4 owner. And as such, I have recently discovered that DLC data is integrated into the game data itself, which is frustrating. It's a nice change from ps3 to be able to backup saves without having to back up the entire hard drive, but it would have been nice to be able to backup up just the DLC as well. So my question, if I were to redeem for example, Day One Edition weapons/costumes etc, and then delete my game data, and once again reinstall it, will I be able to load my game save? As I understand, with something like a story/mission based DLC, I would not be able to load it if I don't have that particular DLC installed (Or is that not always the case?). I'm just trying to understand this a little better. Any assistance is appreciated, thank you.

Need some help regarding battery upgrade on NEW DS4 controller
Plenty of guides on replacing the old DS4 battery, nothing that I could find for the new models of DS4.

Moved in with a roommate and we enjoy playing overwatch together but trying to chat in game is annoying because we play in the same room. Any noise canceling headphones that will work with the ps4?

How to piggyback a PS4 of a PC Ethernet?
So, I recently ran an ethernet cable down the side of my house and through a window to my desk, for use with my PC. Is there any way to connect the PC to the PS4 to share the connection? I have an extra ethernet, and I'm running Win10.

I don't know about others, but one of my favourite OSTs to listen to at work is Chrono Cross. I know it's available on PS3, PS Vita, but what about getting the treatment FF9 got?!
It's one of my favourite games and the battle system was great. While I can agree it was a very murky successor to Chrono Trigger, it's still one of the classics.

PS+ Should Backup Your Game Pics To The Cloud
My PS4 wouldn't boot today and despite all efforts at recovery, I had to install the OS from scratch and start over. Very frustrating, but thanks to PS+ I didn't loose any of my game saves. HOWEVER, I did loose my in-game pics that I had taken from some of my favorites like Uncharted 4, Arkham Knight, Horizon Zero Dawn, etc. This was very disappointing. It really should back up all of these just like it does the data for other apps like YouTube, Hulu, etc.
Okami Ps4, should I bother with the move?
I absolutely loved Okami on Wii, so it coming to Ps4 is huge news to me. The only problem is that I've never played the game with a controller. Is the playstation move worth looking into in my case or is the controller not too bad to use? Is the experience comparable?

PS4 Slim or Pro?
Hey guys, sorry if this is in the wrong spot - it seemed the most applicable.
I haven't had a console since the Xbox 360 Arcade so I'm in for quite the upgrade. I'm debating between the Slim (1TB) and Pro, after having done some research on the major differences, I still can't decide if it's worth the extra $100 or not FOR ME.
I have a 65" Samsung LED without 4k or HDR capabilities. I also primarily play sports games (2K18, Madden, FIFA, etc.) so I'm not a hardcore or balanced gamer.
That being said, is it still worthwhile for me to get the Pro given my TV's limitations? I heard Boost Mode can still make a difference but it might be game specific. I don't plan on getting a new TV anytime soon but don't have a problem paying for the Pro if I'd notice any real differences. Any help is much appreciated.
