Haven’t seen much love for Uncharted Lost Legacy on this sub. It blew me away, even more than Uncharted 4.
I have hardly seen anyone talking about it on here. Have many of you not tried it? Naughty Dog really outdid themselves again, every time I thought the game was getting a bit normal they would surprise me with something that would literally make me says wow out loud. Since getting the PS4 in February I have played through HZD, TLOU, UC4 and UC Lost legacy. Best gaming months of my life so far as a 28 year old that has been gaming since 1994.

Will I still be able to play Destiny 2 online, despite the account that is purchasing the game not having PS Plus.

Lost legacy showing as free on US psn store. I
I figure this won't actually end with me having the full payable game, but I was browsing the psn store and LL showed as Full Game: Free. For kicks I put it in my cart, and checked out. It's currently downloading. I have about 2 dollars in my psn wallet, so for sure it didn't charge me anything.

Replacing PS4 fans due to noise

Gundam Versus Open Beta is available to play
Just posting cuz I haven't seen anyone else do it but it's been up since yesterday night (Australia).
I'm sure someone can do better but the general gist of the game is it's an arcade style 3d brawler that involves mechs from the Gundam franchise. Idk why but they don't have a tutorial so I recommend looking up some videos on how to move on YouTube cuz otherwise you'll be a sitting duck.
Some context for the game, the G Vs series is suuuuper popular in Arcades in Japan, so much so that Bandai Namco want to legitimise the series into an Esport not only in Japan but also in the West. It is also the first Gundam game to be released in the West for a long time.
I'm hoping someone can post an explanation on all the mechanics since I've only played the Gundam game on vita so I'm not sure on alot of the mechanics drawn from the arcade version.

Possible silly question...about having 2 ps4's.

PS4 - No Playable Media?
I recently got a new 4TB external hard drive and formatted it to exFat so that it would work on my mac and my PS4. Even after doing that, Media Player won't read the files on the hard drive and gives me the "no playable media" error. Any one know how to fix this/have any advice?

Nights Of Azure 2 is having a LE version but it's up on the NIS America store. I live in Asia and there's no news, if any, that the LE version would be available for pre-order here. Let's say I snag the pre-order off the NIS America store, the game would be in NA's region right? I am a teacher, well a sub teacher for my local school district. I work EVERY weekday, unless I am notified before hand, which is rare. I was in college when D1 came out and skipped class to play it. Now with D2 around the corner, the Deluxe Edition pre-loaded on my PS4. I am soo tempted to call in sick and play the game at midnight and spend the day playing it. Ill only get around an hour or so to try it that day because I get home at 3 and work another part time job at Gamestop at 6.
I KNOW if I did skip I would hate myself and feel regret because I need $$, but DAMN. I really wont get to get my fix until Thursday night...

iPhone apps have ceased working
Both my PS4 and PS4 messenger apps for iPhone have ceased working for the last several days. I've tried updating the apps, deleting them and redownloading them multiple times, restarting my phone, etc.
Both are getting locked up at sign in. The PS4 app sends me to a white screen that says "Cannot load. Refresh," and the messenger app just keeps bouncing back to the sign in page.
Any ideas?? I'm going insane having to use my controller to compose messages.
PS4 Won't turn on after power outage. Help!
So in Florida it started thundering bad and the power keeps going out. Well I tried turning my ps4 back on and the blue light turns on for 1 second than the ps4 turns off again and it won't turn on after the first try. Any thoughts on why it won't turn on?

I keep getting Messages over Messages from Spam Accounts which is very annoying, i reported them so often but Of course The Report system says its nothing against the Rules.

So the external HDD cause input lag on PS4 it seems.

I had connected a 500 GB USB 3.0 HDD into PS4 with just one or two games there and everything was all right. Today I filled up the disk with data from the internal disk (to shorten the time when i will backup whole ps4 to switch internal hdd to SSHD) and right after that I noticed a huge input lag.
Sometimes key presses aren't registred at all, sometimes they are deleyed.
I reproduced it in the menu, and in the Persona 5 (which is not resource heavy game at all, Persona 5 still on internal hdd).
Does anyone have a solution for that?
- I am running PS4 Pro with stock 1 TB internal disk
- The Dualshock4 is V1, connected wirelessly, no microusb cable plugged in.
- The input lag was not there when external hdd had usage below 20%, but kicked in when it's nearly 99%

Hi guys. Question here i always used to game with high end ‘game’ headphones. Now im gonna get a homecinema set next monday. And want to enjoy while playing games. Thing is if i use the cheap ass earpiece that came with the ps4 everbody in party or game chat will be bothered by hc/tv sound. If i use my headset with all its bells and whistles they wont hear anything or if so only a little. But then again i will hear everything muffled because of the headphones.
Now what im looking for is (preferably) earbuds with a good noise cancelling microphone or an mono headset something like the default x360 headset. I have been looking all over the internet cant really find anything for this issue specifacly. I do find earbuds but then i still dont now how they will perform in this kind of set up. So i hope someone in here is gaming the same way and has the ideal solution.
I also have seen the condensor mics some streamers use but then i will hear everyone trough the hc speakers which i dont like and then i would have to set it up in the living room and the wife and kid wont be happy then lol.

Ok guys its stupid but serious question about controller v2 vs v1 , ive purchased ps4 pro 7months ago but month ago started having issues with my controller its about l3 moving issues I googled a lot about it and purchased a 3d joysticks anyway its has l2 auto walk when you press it and it appears its common in v2 and lots of who have v1 since launch don't have these issues , so I'm pissed and want to buy new one so any suggestion what should I buy is it bad luck on my side ? As someone who moved from 10+ years of XB gaming to PS4I have found the no backward compatible games situation to be a downer so have bought a PS3. Whilst I could pay for PSNOW (which doesnt include every PS3 game obviously) it works out better to just pickup the console (pre-owned). Is the ps4 controller naturally poor quality (broken button for no reason)
I had a controller for only a year and a half and its already not working in some areas. The analog rubber seems to have been built to rip off on purpose. Its almost as if they want it to suck jus so you can keep buying more. I rememver for the 360 my controller was fine I never had to get a secone one.
Im also having trouble with r1 suddenly. The button just doesnt work for no reason. Anybody else have this problem? Is there any solution to it? Is there a way to go to settings and switch r1 functions with other things? This thing is pissing me off.
Please Help! Ethernet/LAN Connection on PS4 not working!
Hi! I just moved into college and the Wi-FI here is awful. I brought a CAT 6 Ethernet cable here to try and solve that problem, but its only making my problem worse. I plugged in to this Cisco box in my room ( http://ift.tt/2vUtD9L here is the link to all the images of the cables and the box, and my PS4 screen) and internet connection fails. Each time, I select: Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection > Use a LAN Cable Then from there I have chosen both Easy and Custom. Easy only gives me the option to either use or do not use a proxy server now, (at the beginning it gave me all the options that manual did) so I've switched to selecting Custom. Use a LAN Cable > Custom > Automatic (IP Address Settings) > Do Not Specify (DHCP Host Name) > Automatic (DNS Settings) > Automatic (MTU Settings) > Do Not Use (Proxy Server) From there it says Internet Settings are updated, but if I test connection, I get the screenshot shown in the imgur link.
Sorry for the extra long message, but I just wanted to make sure anyone who wanted to help had all of the details they needed. If anyone can help to solve this problem, it would be greatly appreciated!

PS4 slim 5ghz connection issue
Hey guys. I just upgraded to a slim from a launch model and was excited to be able to use the 5ghz WiFi. I'd like to be able to hard wire it, but that's not possible right now.
2.4ghz works fine, but when I select my 5ghz network and try to connect, it gets to the connecting to the PlayStation Network step and always fails. My phone, tablet, smart TV, etc run fine on 5ghz. I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Do all PS4 pro's have the resolution issue?
So I've been reading around, checking on stuff while waiting for my PS4 pro to come in (I pre-ordered the destiny 2 limited edition from GameStop), and I've seen some people talking about display issues when using a 4k display. They describe their issue as the screen going black, and then coming back on in 1080p quality level, despite their display being capable of the higher level. I've read from some other people that it's been a problem since the pro's release, but you would think that if it were a really widespread problem, Sony might've fixed it by now. Is this actually a universal issue? Or is this something that happens to only a small percentage of consoles? I'm really curious about this, especially since I still have time to cancel my pre-order, if it truly is universal

I got my ps4 in may and I only system crashed like 3 times now I was playing the WW2 beta left played GTA it crashed and it said Demario _______ will be logged out every time I try to play help
PS4 Pro is a bigger upgrade than I though
I got my OG PS4 3 years go and that was a massive jump from my previous XBox 360 (of course that is expected, it's a different generation). Builtin harddrive, builtin Wifi N, builtin gigabit LAN, builtin Bluray drive, the list goes on and on. Needless to say, I have been very happy with my PS4. When Pro came out, I was a little disappointed. No UHD Bluray. Unable to handle native 4K on most games. Old games were not getting a patch. HDR comes to OG PS4 as well. Etc. I was not excited to buy one, unless my PS4 fails.
Well, my PS4 did not fail, but my colleague sold his fairly new PS4 Pro at 1/2 new price, and I decided to take the chance. At that price it's great value, and even if I don't like it, I can still sell it and even make a profit! In the end PS4 Pro is a bigger update than I expected. Of course there was no "Wow" moments as I had with my old PS4. But the subtle changes were surprisingly pleasant. The upgrade to 5Ghz wifi did make the biggest different. I could download about 1MBps before, but it is more than 12MBps now, so game downloads are a breeze. I was lucky enough that my PS4 is cool and quiet. And the games which support Pro, the difference is not day and night, but very noticeable and it's really nice to have.
PS4 Pro is obviously a better PS4, and the upgrade was worth it for me. I can wait for the upcomimg games which are properly optimized for the Pro. Let us hope our beloved PS4 will continue to shine, in years to come.

Oh my God what a game!! I have never been a fan of over-the-top JRPGs but something about this game, the atmosphere, the story, the connection between characters is something else. 1st play-through was amazing, 2nd play-through was a little dull until you find out the truth and have the “oh shit” moment. 3rd play-through was like a completely different game for me! Switching between the characters as 9S devolves from his calm inquisitive self to a knowledge and grief filled maniac was amazing. Kudos to Platinum Games. What an experience!!

Someone Who Actually Enjoys PS Now
I really don't know why people shit on PS Now so hard. I have a subscription and I freaking love it. I just got done beating Catherine which is a game I probably never would have touched otherwise. It was super weird but great and I've got a bunch more in my play queue. I get that there's a slight input lag with PS Now but for me that's not a big deal at all and I have a middling internet connection. It works best when you use it for turn based games like X-Com but I was able to play plenty of other games with it just fine. Platformers are the only ones that it really affects bad. They literally have Uncharted 1-3, Ni No Kuni, and a bunch of other really solid games.
Weirdly enough, my favorite part about it is something that a lot of people criticize about it: there are so many shitty games on there. I get kind of a sick enjoyment out of playing weird games that I know are bad. I just play them until I get sick of them and I can do that without having to actually buy these terrible games. I played a professional Handball game. Shit was weird. I laughed a lot. I fumbled through a Cricket game. I jokingly played this Wakeboarding HD game thinking it would suck and ended up kind of enjoying it. All of this to say...
TL;DR: PS Now is better than people say, at least for me. At least try it!
Bizarre controller issue?

Had my PS4 since 2013, worked flawlessly uptil last night, my power button doesn't work so normally I use the controller to turn my console on however, both controllers turn off after the PS4 boots to the dashboard. I try turning them back on but the white light just flashes on them and I can't resync them wirelessly or using the USB cable.
Anyone know what the issue might be? I did change the Bluetooth antenna today and still the issue persists?

I am Having Trouble with my Sign-In ID
So, my brother was trying to log in to our account today. He said none of the passwords we use are working. No biggy, we can just change the password. So I click the triangle to change the password. Our email is already in the box by default. While it's loading to send an email to change the password, it comes up with an error message, "The information you entered is not valid." Great. I went back to make sure there were no mistakes in the email, everything was correct. Out of confusion, I logged into my email to find an email that was sent on august 7 from PlayStation. It said my Sign-In ID had been changed. Neither me nor my brother remember changing, and we are the only ones that use it. It gave me a link to tech support in case I did not intend to change it. I tried to contact them through phone, but apparently the service is currently closed. So does anyone know what I can do to get back our account. I'm getting really impatient with this, I did not planning on doing this garbage.

Weird ps4 crashes

Just a question about smudge-like marks on a brand new disc
So I just bought a brand new copy of Digimon World: Next Order, and I've noticed that there is two almost water-like smudge marks on the inner ring on the back (on opposite sides). A microfiber cloth was not able to remove them. Are these smears a sign of defectiveness or is it something benign that can occur during the manufacturing process? At the moment, I do not have a ps4, so I can't test it out just yet. I'm just really paranoid and impatient. If the disc is going to be defective, I'd rather try to return it now. If anyone has anyone has an idea about this, please let me know.

DS4 on PC question
I am trying to use my DS4 on my PC. Problem is, when I turn it on and connect it to the pc, the damn PS4 in the other room turns on and I control that. Do I need to somehow manually stop the PS4 from noticing this controller every time I want to use it for pc? Any input much appreciated!! Thanks!
Has anyone else noticed how long it takes to install Everybody's Golf onto a ps4 via disc.
The game in only like 10 gigs yet for some reason it takes ten minutes to install from the disc. Don't most games that install from a disc usually boot up pretty quickly or am I just imaging things?
Regarding Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, Digital Games, and Region Locking...
I'm an American living in Germany, and I'm considering buying a digital copy the BF1 Revolution Edition that includes the premium pass. But, I've had hella problems with playstation's region locking in the past.
I'm wondering, if I buy a digital copy with my primary (American) account, will I be able to download the DLC as it is released, and use all of the premium maps?
I know DLC must match physical disc region, but how does this work with digital copies?

I used to be a big sony fan and then for some unforseen circumstances i got an Xbox one. After 2 years ive trying to trade it for a ps4 i finally got one! Unfortunately that means all the online games i bought on xbox will gather dust . But i must say i am glad to get my used ps4. Next step to save up for the Jrpgs i missed and overwatch. Im a huge fan of Final fantasy , kindgom hearts , ni no kuni and tales of symphonia. Can anyone recommend me any games ? hopefully cheap games ,ive recently returned to school after years so cheap games are welcomed haha. Bridging connection in a college dorm?
My roommate bought a PS4, but the internet security methods they use at our school blocks most outgoing connection aside from web browsing. Netflix and streaming works fine, but most video games can't connect, including Steam, Xbox Live, and PSN. I use a VPN to play overwatch and steam on my PC and Laptop, but I'd like to figure out a way to access the Playstation Network on Ps4.
For some reason, Internet Connection Sharing and simply briding the connection makes the PS4 acknowledge the internet, but fail to obtain an IP address. Anyone know how I can accomplish this?
What is going on with the random group chats?
For about a month or so I've been receiving group chats from random people. Usually the other person will say some type of greeting but then radio silence since I don't reply back. 1 out of maybe 5 that I've seen actually included about 10 other people.
I assumed these are the work of bots probably trying to get personal or credit card information out of people. This had to have happened to many others by now. Is Sony aware of this? Is this sub aware of this?

Woke up this morning to an email confirming I've changed my online ID. And trying to use my PlayStation it won't let me do anything without signing in. This is the second time this has happened. First with them changing my email. To make even. Enter customer support is closed until Monday. I am beyond angry. Dealing with this company is so difficult. I think I may be moving to PC from this point on....

I'm planning to get myself a PS4 slim which will be paired with an HD ready TV. Shall I expect any problems? What about the framerate, will it be any different than on 1080p?
Ps4 not accepting correct inputs
This started happening about a week ago. Occasionally my controllers go out of whack and have massive input lag, or the input isn't accepted at all. I thought it was the controller but after testing two more its definitely the Ps4 or BT connection, but nothing has changed so I'm thinking it is the Ps4 itself.
It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it is unplayable. I'm going to try rebuilding the database today.
If rebuilding the database doesn't work I'll try a reinitialize. Is there a way to save all my recorded videos and screen shots and put them back on my Ps4 hard drive if I reinitialize?
If a rebuild/reinitialize doesn't work what other options could I try?
Will the developers go lazy setting the PS4 Pro as Standard for performance and not optimizing the regular PS4 versions of a game?
Up until the PS4 Pro came, developers would make optimizations to a game to guarantee minimum performance level. Now they supposedly keep making these optimizations and leave better graphics, resolution and slightly better FPS for the Pro.
But what if they release new games at the same level as the pre-Pro was and, only to save development costs, they release underperforming versions for the regular PS4?
Can i use the external hard drive connected to my ps4 as a normal harddisk ?
Like can i just disconnect it, put some movies for storage on it the plug it back in ? Or should i keep it for ps4 storage only
"Playstation network currently undergoing maintainence" error massage
I have this error massage for a while now (ws-37432-9)and I cant connect to anything because of it, when I test the internet connection everthing is fine except the psn network connection one that says "failed". I tried restarting mutiple times reentered my internet connection, even changed my MTU to 1473 (saw it on a video while looking for a solution). Also got into safe mode and back. I really have no Idea what else should I do. Would really appreciate an answer. It really sucka not being able to connect to psn.

PS4 constantly drops internet connection
Hoping for some help resolving a PS4 connection issue.
My PS4 (OG 500gb) lately has been dropping internet connection randomly, sometimes it is multiple times within a short period of time.
Only my PS4 looses connection while my other devices like my computer and phone still are connection fine.
Resetting my router fixes this issue temporarily but then 30 mins or few hours later I lose internet again.
I assume this is a DNS issue but I'm no expert. I have contacted my provider and they tell me everything looks fine on there end (of course).
I get DNS errors when it happens but I get several codes

I have looked up a few recent videos about setting a manual DNS but not sure if that's a permanent solution.
I have been thinking of upgrading to a PS4 pro anyways but I don't want to upgrade then have this issue persist there as well.

PS4 controller wont work with my pc
tried everything but nothing seems to work. ive downloaded DS4 windows but wont recognise that theres a controller, nor will my computer. The controller itself flash's yellow so im assuming that its not the controllers problem and the cord is brand new. But if anybody knows a way to make it so that the computer somehow recognises the controller thatd be a blessing because the drivers wont install to allow me to use it. Im using Windows 10

I've recently got a bit of money, and up to now, I have kept saying I would buy PSVR when I got enough.
The base package is around £350, but I'd probably want the full deal - so probably about £450-500.
I can afford either, but I am unsure whether it will be worth buying.

Sometimes it's decent, other times it is stupidly slow. Like 1-2 MBps. I have a 100/40 connection. I'm not expecting full speed of course, but this terrible speed is just irritating. I have tried using a proxy, wired, got a new router because i needed one (did not fix it)

Telltale Game of Thrones Question
I've just gotten to the end of Season 1, I think I made some pretty terrible decisions but anyways..
The game seems to be pretty different than the TV Show, I know a lot of the families are made up, but the parts about North Grove, Blood magic etc.. Seems to be different.
Is it because it's following the books more closely? (sorry haven't read them) or is a lot of it just made up and trying to tie in with the overall story?

Original ps4 overheating in rest mode
Hi all,
I keep my ps4 in a cabinet under my tv and when i use it I open the door for ventilation and everything works fine. When I'm not using it I put it into rest mode and close the door. Normally this is fine.
Today i was out of the house and got an email about a ps plus game I wanted so i chose to download it remotely so that i could play when i got home. What i didn't realise is that this seemed to turn the thing on.
When i got home, the whole of my living room was hot, the PS4's fan was in overdrive and when i opened the cabinet it was like opening the oven door! The ps4 was so hot I couldn't even touch it.
I got a desk fan and pointed it at the ps4 and after about 15 minutes the fan slowed to it's normal speed, but still on.
The light on the console was pulsing orange but there was nothing on the tv screen.
I am extremely concerned that if i had not come home when i did this could have caused a fire.
I've had the ps4 overheat whilst i was playing before when i had the cabinet closed, and when it did a message came up on the screen saying it was overheating and it powered down by itself. When i opened the cabinet it was warm, but nowhere near as hot as it was today.
Has anyone else experienced this before?

Dualshock 4 controller not charging and not turning on.
Hi, my ps4 controller has decided it doesnt want to turn on or work anymore.
I trust strangers on Reddit significantly more than strangers on YouTube or even actual friends on Facebook so Im just looking for some advice.
Ive tried different usb ports, different charging cables and also sticking a pin into the reset port at the back but still nothing. Is there anything I could have missed?

i moved from pc to ps4 and getting used to controller was fun challenge, but i still dislike R3 and L3 buttons.
i mostly play shooters and pressing down L3 for running is not satisfying...
so, the question is how comfortable is using additional buttons on back panel of controllers to run in fps, and for R3 and L3 in general?

so has anyone had any luck with a powered USB hub on the PS4?
I bought one that wasn't powered hoping I could plug in my good mic for streaming, my PS4 platinum headset (the audio of which is just as shitty as the Gold headset), my keyboard and was hoping for a mouse but the headset kept disconnecting (I'm like 6 feet away at max and it can reach through my entire house usually) So I assumed it wasn't sending out enough power so I bought a powered one and its the exact same thing. Even plugging the headset into a direct port and having the mic and keyboard in the hub the headset keeps disconnecting like I'm too far away.
Basically I need more damn USB ports.
Does anyone have any tips on how to make Paladins' aim feel smoother?
I'm looking for a new team based game that i can waste time on until my last 2 pc parts arrive. I was into overwatch but got tired of dealing with tracers and genjis. Paladins seems very fun. I just can't aim properly. It doesn't ''feel'' right. I know it's not hirez's fault because i also spend alot of time on smite and there everything is fine. It's in Paladins that i get this weird ''slow start'' but then it normalizes. It's not my controller, i think it just needs some setting tinkering. So if anyone made it work, tell me how?

Mic bug. Just started happening. I can hear myself as if it’s duplicating my audio in the party.
So Ive tried two different mics. I’m hearing my own voice in the headphones it’s not a echo, or that my mic is picking up my voice in the headset. It’s relaying my voice feed into my ear like it’s a monitor.
The people in my party can’t hear me but I can hear them and myself.

Everybody's golf - display settings. What do you do?
I have a Samsung top of the range tv and I have HDR set up and Game mode set up but I find myself not sure which option to select in game.
I select 4K that's but fine but I find the colours more vibrant and loud when I turn the HDR option off. But I think prefer the duller tones of it on. I'm confused

PS4 Library Offline Problem
When I go to the library and try to download any of the previously purchased apps, it zaps back and gives me an offline symbol on the top right. Also cannot access the PS store cause the system thinks I'm offline whereas I can play online multiplayer (FIFA, F1 etc.) with no problems. Has anyone faced anything similar?
Is anyone else having an issue with Yakuza Kiwami trophies not unlocking?
I beat slugger Majima and never got the trophy for it. Then Majima launched a sneak attack and said "Majima from below!" but the Majima from below trophy didn't unlock either. That said, I just got into a fight and Majima forced his way into the fight and I got the Let's Fight! trophy, so it could just be those two that are bugged. Is anyone else having these issues?

Console having trouble with some discs. Anybody else experience something similar?
Most games run fine, they install and spin up and update and play fine without error. But I seem to have a few games that just don't cooperate with the system. GtaV was hit or miss before I got rid of it, Fallout4 refuses to start up, Star Wars Battlefront did the same, and now ESO: Morrowind.
The case is the same with every problem disc - it can sit passive and idle in the console, and will update and install without issue, but every time I start the actual game, I get hit with a "cannot read disc" error and the game shuts down and ejects, sometimes instantly, others within 3-4 minutes.
I just really dont understand what would be causing it as it happens with brand new, freshly unsealed copies while older, more worn games work fine. Is it possible I have an issue with the lens or something else internal? Any suggestions or insight is greatly appreciated.

PS4 turns on for a second then off
I recently opened up my console to replace the thermal paste (its out of warranty) put it back together and now it only comes on for a moment then turns off. Everything seems conmected, i do have an extra screw (not sure if that might be an issue). It didnt give me any power issues before this. Any suggestions?

I was pretty unaware of this gem, thinking it's just another so-so game. Until I checked Metacritic and Wiki, and realized it is a remake of a PS2, and holds a great score by critics.
I was in the state of "What do I do with my life" after Persona 5. I was hungry for a game I can dive in for the last couple of months. And I think I found it. Wow - such a beautiful and stylish game, with satisfying combat. The music is very good, too. I can't say much for the story as I haven't finished, but the voice acting and writing have been great so far.
The game is currently 70% in EU store - the best deal it has been, so don't miss it.

Question about PS4 pro and 4k
Hey everyone I am a little confused about the PS4 and how the 4k works.
I have a 4k tv that as far as I know, takes 1080p video and upscales it to 4k resolution when I'm watching tv, playing games, etc.
From what I hear about the ps4 pro, it's not native 4k but instead does the same thing as my tv currently does. It upscales.
My question then, is if my understanding is correct, why would I bother upgrading to a PS4 pro? Isn't it doing something most 4k tvs already do? Forgive me if I'm completely off base here. I'd love to be informed.
Having an odd problem with my system's display?
A while back I had posted about a lack of signal after using my PS4 Silm on a tv. When I switched back to the monitor, I had no signal. Now, after resetting the resolution it worked fine. However, after leaving it in rest for a few weeks, I've got the same problem again. It still displays when plugged in to a TV, however once I switch back again I can't get it to show anything.
All the components are working fine; I can use the HDMI port on my monitor for other stuff, and all the cables work. I tried switching it back to 1080p again, which worked last time, but not this time.
I'm not sure what's up. Is there something with my ps4 that makes it not recognize my monitor? The fact that this issue came back after it was in rest mode seems weird too.
Any advice would be appreciated!

I want to output audio through optical. I don't even want HDMI output as an option.
Is this possible? Every time I do anything, the audio suddenly switches back and plays through HDMI, which is connected to a monitor with god awful speakers, while the optical out is connected to a pair of good speakers.
Every time it plays through hdmi, it completely ignores the optical out, even though i have my primary audio output as optical. What am I doing wrong here?

Hey all,
I ordered the big fight last weekend through PS store. Throughout the entire fight from the moment that I logged in, the screen kept going black forcing me to exit the app and restart. This happened literally dozens of times throughout the fight.
I called PS support and was told that there are no refunds. I'm curious if anyone else encountered this issue and if any refunds were given. I have read that for previous events people claim they were issued refunds due to an identical issue.
I have a wired connection to my PS4 and otherwise had no internet issue on PlayStation or other devices.
Just curious if anyone else encountered this and/ or received a refund.

I fear starting bloodborne
I always wanted to try bloodborne but had no ps4 until last month. Until now I have beaten Uncharted Games and Batman Arkham Knight. Even in these games i rage when i die more than 7 times at the same location or due to missing save points. From what i have read bloodborne would destroy me with this attitude.
Point is: i fucking love Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, mgs vengence, vanquish and hack n slay with epic boss fights in general. I rage there too when i dont best the boss in 15min but these are my all time favorites.
Cant i play bb in very easy and just enjoy the story? Should i just play shadow of mordor and skip soul games? :D

2 PS4 consoles, no party chat
I have an ASUS router AC68U and 2 PS4's. Recently the party chat stopped working between the two. I've tried different things like opening all the ports through NAT on one PS4 but it doesn't work. Both consoles show NAT type 2 although I get an error sometimes when we party up that there is a nat error. I can sometimes get one of us to hear each other but this is really frustrating. Upnp is open on all port ranges and the PS4s are set on dynamic IPs. Any other ideas?

Trading Up for PS Pro
I'm thinking about trading my original PS4 for the PS Pro. I've had a 4K tv for almost a year and I also have the PSVR, which I hear gives huge improvements. The only thing I'm worried about is transferring my stuff over.
I have upgraded my PS4's hard drive to a 2TB one, so I know how it works. But, last time I was able to connect the hard drive to my system and just transfer things over without fear of it not working since I could check it worked. This time, however, I need to actually sell my OG PS4 in order to get the funds for the PS4 Pro, which does not give me the leeway to know that my stuff has transferred over.
My main question is, since the hard drive I'm using now is a 2TB and is already formatted for my current PS4, can I just pop it into a new PS4 Pro and be completely ready to use? Or does my 2TB drive need to be reformatted for the Pro, specifically?

Has anyone experienced this with their DS4?
Sometimes my DS4 would suddenly lose connection to the PS4 (Phat) and even when I press the PS button, it wouldn't reconnect. The light bar would just constantly blink and then nothing. This happens randomly in both wired and wireless scenarios. So then I would be stuck with having to turn off my PS4 by holding the power button on the console. Only then would it detect my DS4 again when I press the PS button to turn it on.
Not sure if the problem is with my PS4 or with the DS4 - my other DS4 isn't working anymore so I can't test it. And this happens probably once every 2 weeks or so.

PS4 Blu Ray resolution problem
My PS4 never plays SD DVDS or Blu Rays at 16:9 resolution, it always shrinks down to 4:3 and it's irritating because I've tried everything, it chances back to 16:9 when I go back the to XMB but when I watch the Blu Ray it shrinks it. The only way it actually works is if I do this OPTIONS-SETTINGS-VIDEO PLAYBACK SETTINGS and I choose 1080/20hz back and forth again and again and it still works only about 2 out of 20 times.

PEGI disk inside an NA case?
Trying to figure out what's going on here. Just purchased Horizon Zero Dawn from Amazon and it was brand new but from a secondary seller. The game was shrinkwrapped but didn't have the sealed sticker where you open the case (does PS4 have these? I can't remember). Inside the case was a PEGI version of the game.
Does anyone know wtf happened here? The game case clearly is NA and says T for teen. The disk doesn't look used and seems to work in the PS4. Should I raise a stink for being sold a used game or was this a manufacturing defect?

I have been looking for answer. But no one can give me the same one. I have an OG ps4 that has an internal 2 TB drive. Im thinking about selling my PS4 to get a PRO. If i remove my 2 tb drive and just plug it into the pro will it work right away or does the Pro format it and i have to re download everything. Twitch streams freezing since newest update
I loved this new update with giving me more options and control of my quality but I've noticed my streams have been freezing a lot now after like 30ish mins of watching a single stream. I thought maybe the reason was that quality I chose to watch was to high which on most streams I've been watching 900p60fps which is the highest option so I set it down to 720p30fps and still same problem so I even went to 480p and still the same problem occurs. I did a speed test and my speeds are 170 down and 30 up so I'm really confused cause my internet should be way more than enough and also this problem never occurred before this newest update anyone else experiencing this problem or am I alone ? :(

Trying to find the ideal controller
I'm looking for a company/website where is can customize my own controller. The controller would need to be able to have remap able paddles or buttons on the back (preferably paddles) and a good rubberized grip. Ive been trying to do much research but it's almost like every time I sit down and try to do it, I end up with just more options and more confused. Definitely don't want to spend over $200 and I want something that will be durable and will last. I'm not particularly hard on my controllers but it would get 2-3 hours of use a day on most days, while up to 10-12 hours on others, especially when destiny 2 comes out. I'll be using the controller for a variety of games on both the PS4 and PC (namely just destiny and black ops 3 for PC). My PS4 is primarily used for my single player narrative games but I do plan on getting the newest CoD on that system. So far I've looked into and am considering scuf, (they are the first ones I found for the most part) and evil controllers. At the moment scuf seems to be the one to fit most of my needs but they seem to have a bad rap in terms of build quality and customer service. If you have any experience with either company or have another company you have done business with that left you satisfied if just like your thoughts on that. Please and thank you! :)

I have been playing Destiny since The Taken King DLC came out (Purchased the game on disc and it came with all of the previous DLCs as well). When the Rise of Iron DLC came out I purchased that as a digital download. I have maxed out all three character types and have hundreds of hours of gameplay invested.
About a two months ago I decided that I wanted to play through the game fresh and didn't want to delete any of my toons so I started an alt account on my PS4. I have been playing on and off since then. This past week I have been on a bit of a vacation so I have been playing some more. I got my Titan all the way through the game (Including all of the various DLC missions) and all the way to max level. I started a Hunter and have been playing it. The Hunter is 26th level, I have played most, if not all, the way through the House of Wolves DLC and I have played several of The Taken King missions and then randomly, yesterday, when I try to play any DLC content it says that I need to purchase the content first. This change happened while I was logged into the game. I think that I finished a mission, left the game running while I ate some lunch, and when I came back it wouldn’t let me continue with the same mission track. My primary account show that I have all of the DLCs downloaded onto my console and I am able to play the DLC content on my primary account. I contacted Playstation support this morning and went through the process of deactivating and reactivating my console as my primary PS4 for my alt account and verifying that the content was downloaded on my console (it is) and then they had no more help to offer. I am wondering if anyone else has had this happen or has heard about it and may have a solution. It’s not the end of the world as D2 drops next week, but I was having fun and don’t like to be stymied like this.

I just don't know how this would even happen. The HDMI cable still works; in fact, I removed it soon after I put it into rest. The port itself looks fine too.
I doubt it would be a problem with the card in the PS4 itself too, since there is no signal going to it in rest.
Any suggestions? This is really frustrating me.

Help with a PS4 glitch
Recently I downloaded and installed an update for Battlefield 1 on my PS4 (~a week ago). This seems to have triggered a weird glitch wherein I can't access the PS store (gets stuck at "Please Wait" screen). In addition, I can't access any of the online features on the ps4 home screen, for example downloading apps like Netflix, YouTube etc and everytime I try to check the trophies/achievements for any of my games, it zaps me back to the home screen.
However, within each of these games, I can still access and play online multiplayer comfortably with no problems whatsoever. The glitch seems to affect only the features connected to the home screen. I've already tried "restore default settings" from safe mode and "rebuild database" options. Has anyone faced anything similar? All advice is welcome. Thanks.
rebooted PS4 not working
Little brother restart our upgraded PS4 (2TB hard drive upgrade) and tried to power it up. He got a screen displaying the sentences "Cannot Start the PS4. Connect the DUALSHOCK 4 using the USB cable and then press the PS button." After doing that it displays the message "Connect a USB storage device that contains an update file for reinstallation for version 4.73 or later. You can download it for reinstallation from PlayStation.com." After downloading the update onto a USB stick and inserting it into the appropriate port and selecting "OK" from the two given options, it tells me that the update file cannot be used and I get the error message CE-34788-0.
Can A PS4 fry it's controllers?
Okay so I had my original PS4 controller go out a while back. I had assumed that Basically the battery life diminished and it finally stopped as it was several years old. However I just recently bought a brand new controller (which the fact you don't get a new cable with it is fucking stupid but that's irrelevant to this). So when I got home I plugged the controller I and booted up the PS4 to watch a movie and left the controller plugged into the console using a generic USB cord. It charged for approximately 15 mins then the light on top of the controller flashed white as if it disconnected and then the controller shut off. I unplugged it an plugged it into the other port on the PS4 and it pulses orange once and then nothing I assumed it was the cable so went a bought a new one only to find the controller would no longer charge. I tried using a phone charger ( which I know is frowned upon) same thing orange pulse but it still would not accept a charge. Upon pressing the PS button I still receive the flashing white light on top but it will not start or connect to the PS4. Also tried to use my laptop to charge it with the same results. So what can I do to remedy this? My worst fear is that my USB port on the PS4 are putting out to much power and frying my batteries? Anything helps guys.
I also plan to buy an independent charging dock to see if that will charge it. But what if my USB ports are messed up and it will not allow me to plug i. The controller to reconnect it?

I had forgotten my password but I remembered it after multiple false tries. Trading a $50 PS card
Hello, a while back I purchased a $50 ps card to use before I fixed a problem with my credit card. I found out the cars are region locked and I couldn't use it. (Card is purchased through amazon).
It just dawned on me that I can use the card to trade away with someone who has use of it. You'll have to have a US PlayStation account though so don't make the same mistake I made :)

Problem with my PS4
Hi everyone. My console won't work anymore. Yesterday i tried to turn it on. The blue led lit on. Then, after about a minute, the light turned white (sleep mode) . Then again, after another minute, thr led turns back on blue. Back and forth from blue to white. Any suggestion? Is it gone?

my internet is 1mbps and I know it's very bad but it gives 130 ping which is perfectly playable for me, but when a family member uses the internet my ping spikes and it becomes unplayable, I wonder if a gaming router will priotize the bandwidth for me so I can play freely without waiting for my family to sleep.
Good Wireless Controllers?
I was wondering if there's a good non-default wireless controller. I saw the Nacon Revolution which looks right up my alley except for the wire. I sit too far away from my media center for a wired controller to be practical, but I like the shape/bulk and the staggered sticks of an XB1 controller better. Ideally would like something with underside triggers too. Do you guys know of anything? Thanks
Question about buying a PS4 with a account full of games
Since I've been on the verge of buying a PS4 recently I have been checking the local ad site for a good deal, and there are a lot of ads selling used PS4's that include 5+ A tier games like Uncharted 4, Crash Bandicoot etc., installed on the HDD for reasonably cheap price. Is this legit, or should I be aware of something?
Be careful, patch 1.02 for Jak and Daxter PS4 ruined the game (probably only for EU folks)
The recent patch for Jak and Daxter removes Hz toggle and makes 60Hz mode permanent. But now the game freezes in first cutscene and crashes with error in certain dialogs with npcs, like the lady near the giant egg and miners. Do not update yet if your game from PAL PSN.
Anyone have a extra COD WWII Beta Code ?
I don't have a credit card to place an order on Amazon to get the code and neither do I live in the States but I really want to play the beta.

PS4 Pro (White Console) Destiny 2 Limited Edition
I want to get it and was wondering if anybody knows the time where that special edition won't be in store anymore.

I just traded in my day 1 PS4 for a PS4 pro. GameStop gave me 225 for the trade in and 29 for the extra controller...paid a little under 200 for the pro! I thought that was a pretty good deal for a 4yr old system! Just FYI if you guys are looking to upgrade w/ trade in
Just played the demo of YS: Lacrimosa Of Dana and I'm thoroughly impressed
I'm pretty much a newcomer in the YS series. Started with Oath In Felghana a few months ago on Vita and got Origin in the last sale, finishing it recently. For the ones who like JRPGs with a gameplay that is extremely demanding from the player (even more if you play in the harder difficulties like Inferno and Nightmare), the game is a treat.
Now, speaking specifically of Lacrimosa, I must say that I'm very happy with what I've seen. The movement in the 3d enviroment (this is the 1st full 3d YS game, right?) is smooth and there are neat movements like rolling and dodging, different skills etc.
Also, different from the ones I've played before, in Lacrimosa of Dana you can play with 3 different characters, but they are all in your party. Since the battles are real time, I got kind of worried about this because I thought it wouldn't be smooth as I'd like, but I really think that Falcom made a great job in letting you changing characters on the go without stopping the flow of the battles.
The boss fights in the series are something to write home about (for me, is the only series so far that can be a rival to Soulsborne in that department), and the one I faced in the demo showed that things are finely tune in this sense.
All in all, I recommend you guys to download the demo and see it for yourselves. I don't know if the ones that like the classic turn-based story heavy JRPGs are going to love YS, but if you give a chance, you may find something special in there for you.
Can't connect to certain friends ?
Does any one have a fix to in game co op connections to friends I have one friend that we both always wanna link up but can't at all I have fiber and he has similar 50mbps up/down mine is faster but we cannot connect with each other if our life's depended on it we can join each others party's fine so what's going on exactly is their a workaround?
Any fix for the Lagging quick menu?
So i recently sold my PS4 slim and got the Pro i thought since the Pro has more power it could at least handle that dumb quick menu 'smoother' almost every single game i play the quick menu is useless it's lagging and freezing every time does any of you guys has this aswell?
My Playstation keeps dying?
Hey guys, I've had this happen three times now and had to pay the $100 to get my Playstation replaced but I'm trying to figure out if it's something I can fix.
When I turn on my Playstation the light comes on for a split second, beeps and then cuts to black. After it cuts to black it doesn't respond to anything unless I unplug it and then plug it back in. After which it does that same solitary beep, quick blue flash, and then nothing.
What am I doing wrong that this has happened to me three times?
P.S. I can get the Playstation to turn back on but I have to wait like three or four hours and sometimes even then I have to wait an entire day before it will come on. Any help would be appreciated.
P.P.S. I've tried to look up a fix online for fear of asking a question that's already answered but I can't really find any threads with my specific problem.
Dying Light is still amazing
Bought the game at launch and last week decided to buy The Following DLC, but of course needed another playthrough first. There is no doubt this is by far the best zombie game on PS4 by far. Anyone who was on the fence about it should definitely pick this one up. $30 for the game and The Following bundle is a steal imo
