I was playing overwatch and someone sent me over 200 game invites, and I would report him if there was a way. As far as I know, there is no way to report an invite? Anyone that knows plz let me know.

Any reason why PS4 wouldn't create a video chat app for the camera?
Quite a few times I've thought how it would be nice to have a facetime option with my PS4+PlayStation camera. I've looked it up and there doesn't seem any plan to support it. Just putting it out there as wishful thinking :)
Anyway more to the point, is there a certain reason why this isn't a feature of gaming consoles?

Help to restore games after reset
Hi so I resetted my console day ago and now I have problem with psn+ games. ATM I don't have active subscription but I got installed games like rocket league and styx. After reset, games dissapeared from library and cant find any way to download them. Did I lost them for forever or they will appear after ill buy psn+ sub?
PS4 content locked on same console
I share the same PS4 with my brother, but I have an issue that for some reason, he can use my digital games, but I can't use his games. Why is that and how do I fix it? It has the lock right next to those games.
Thank god for Sony's live stream service! It's coming in clutch when everything else on my consoles have failed.
UFC apps been a bust, showtime apps were a bust, same for everything on my XBOX. But I just discovered the Live Events feature from my PS4 and it worked flawless and the quality is A+! I'm sure many others are having no issues getting it onto their TV, but as someone who was and started freaking out, Sony came in clutch for me.

I recently had to trade in my controller for cash at Gamestop in order to afford some medication for my daughter. I'm out of that little hole and can afford to purchase another one. Are there any sites offering deals or low prices on used controllers? I was hoping to find something around $28.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Closed Beta Test (Some thoughts)
As the title says.
I received the code and got to experience the game beforehand. Overall it is good, it just need some more polishing I would think. The HUD really needs less information, there where times where it just got in the way, also, that "Dissidia" vibe I used to get when playing the PSP version seems to be gone... There's just so much on the screen it doesn't really feel like dissidia, hope some stuff gets addressed, FPS drops were quite recurrent as well.

Why are framerates limited to either 30 or 60?
I've been wondering this for a while. Now with Absolver (a fighting game) coming out in a bit, I was really disappointed to hear it will be another 30FPS-locked title.
That's why I'm wondering: What's stopping developers from making their games run at e.g. 40 or 50 fps? Thst would already feel a lot smoother than 30.
Strange issue with my DualShock 4 controller
So, trying to play Uncharted Lost Legacy today, and suddenly every time I hold L2, it also inputs as though I'm holding up on the left thumbstick. I've had this controller for like six months and this problem literally just started this morning. No idea why! I've reset both the PS4 and the controller a few times and nothing's working. Just wondering if anybody else out there has had a similar problem. I'd like to get an idea before I end up having to go buy a new one.

Help: Camera stopped working during VR
I was in the middle of playing some VR when my my screen displayed stating I was out of play area...I clearly wasn't as I was in front of it.
I removed my headset and saw my camera no longer had it's red light on...went to the my settings to adjust the camera and it says it's not connected.
I currently tried resetting......complete power off and unplugged from mains....removed all cables and plugged it back in..
I'm completely at a loss as my camera has been in the same place since I got it and my vr experience was...as normal, no issues or signs....just insta death.

What are some games to acclimate my sister to more confusing control schemes for games like Arkham Knight?
Here's some context; my sister enjoys playing video games a lot, more so now than ever. She plays the usual Animal Crossing every now and then. I bought Season 1 for Telltale's Batman and she loved it, so much so that we ended up beating Resident Evil 5 together.
With her growing love of video games (and her expressing her desire to play more complicated games) I decided to buy her a PS4 pro with $200's worth of PSN money to buy what she wants. She went to town with that and bought a bunch of games like Batman, Naruto, etc. Picking whatever she liked really.
Now she isn't mentally challenged (I hope that didn't sound offensive haha) but it's difficult for her to keep up with button responses in games like Batman which frustrate her. Are there games which may better help her get situated into these difficult control schemes? I've been gaming for my entire life, ever since the 90's and I kinda just clicked to it which frustrates me since I'd love to help her better enjoy this media.
Console doesn't recognize controller in Safe Mode?
Hey all,
So my console UI has been getting a bit laggy. Like, waiting nearly 10 seconds between inputs to see a result. (hold PS button, wait ten seconds, menu pops up, hit down to go to power, wait ten seconds, cursor moves, etc.) It's fine for a bit after initial reset, but eventually slows down again.
I read a suggestion from a year or two ago, someone said to boot it in safe mode as it sorta acts similar to defragging a PC. However, when I boot into safe mode, I get stuck at the "connect a ds4 controller, and press the PS button" screen. Controller is plugged in, even has the orange charge light, but when I press the PS button, it flashes white, turns off, goes back to orange, and the console doesn't react at all. Controller works perfectly fine otherwise, when not in safe mode.
I've tried using a different USB cord, different USB port, pushing the tiny reset button in the back, and holding PS+share. Nothing changes.
Has anyone run into this before and had any luck getting it working? Any advice is appreciated, TIA!

I activated my week trial and started playing Uncharted. I played several hours before the game crashed. Does this happen often? I never got a warning about a connection loss so im not sure what happened. I was planning on buying a month subscription after my trial. What have your experiences been like?
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare keeps restarting download
The initial download has restarted 3 times so far. Anybody have this happen to them? I'm downloading from a disc I just bought brand new.

PS4 capture data transfer troubles =(
I'm having some trouble transferring PS4 capture data from my external HDD to my PC. A little while ago, I transferred a bunch of capture data to a Seagate 4TB external HDD to make room for more games. Well, when I tried to connect it to a PC to transfer said data, I got a message saying that I need to format the disk before I can use it. I already transferred the data to the HDD! Do I have to format it to get it to work(and will that delete all my data?), or can I save my precious capture data?

YouTube account won't stay linked!
I just started having this problem very recently, my YouTube account won't stay link and throws me into a signin loop when I'm trying to upload a video. It still recognizes me as logged into the app.
I've tried restarting my PS4, deleting the YouTube app and connecting through the Link Services menu in the settings, nothing.

Invitations are not sending.
Trying to send invitation. Used to show loading bar (and by used to, I mean 5 minutes ago). Now nothing happens, it just closes. I get them to try and invite me. 'This invitation can no longer be used.' Fuck I hate this shit.
GT Sport - no singleplayer career mode?
Hey, haven't really been following the news regarding the next GT. I was certain the game will be awesome as soon as it was announced and I saw some screenshots.

Streamining a movie or show, it now stops and buffers every few minutes and the home menu lags tremendously. I have no problems streaming on my smart tv or ipads, so I know the lagging is on the part of my PS. Anybody have an idea of how to fix this?

I've been playing injustice 2 recently with friends, but the guest only gets to play with basic lvl 1 gear, so I do as well. Is there a way to copy game data from my profile so the guest and main profile have access to the same gear etc?

Have an Xbox 1 and PS4. Never have been an extreme gamer and since having kids, almost non existent game play
Son is now 5 and able to play a bit so that means I do too (a little bit)
We found forza horizon 3 for the Xbox and it's great. I enjoy racing games, the open world is cool and driving style is nice, best part is that it's unstructured enough that the kids can play too without me having to help them every 5 seconds
Looking for something comparable for the PS4. Not necessarily a racing game but something of similar concept where the simplicity is there for kids but can also be enjoyable for myself. I looked at ace combat but I am not sure how much it foots the bill there.

PS4 won't turn on after downloading system update
After downloading the system update, my PS4 restarts. My screen is getting a signal because it notifies me about its input upon connection. The screen stays dark, and the button is solid white. I am able to boot up safe mode, so it can't be a connection issue. I should probably also mention that the internet here is terrible. So maybe the download file got corrupt?

10ft Biogenik micro usb is loose, suggestions?
I bought the 10ft biogenik micro usb cord for my controller, but its so loose in both my controllers, giving it a very spotty connection while falling out a lot. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to give it a more snug fit?
Is there a way to connect 2 earphones/earbuds (1 for mic, 1 for listening) at the same time to my PS4 controller?
I have been using my Bose earphones since the PS4 launched. I was very please with the fact that the audio was good and that I could use the mic to chat. However, ever since I got a new Duelshock controller, since they have such a short life span before the sticks and triggers start going bonkers, the mic on my Bose don't work anymore but the audio still does. I did some research and found out that the "newer" DS controllers don't support 3rd party mics anymore. so now if I want to talk to chat online I must use the crappy single earphone that came with the PS4. I am unable to play R6S or other tactical game to my fullest where sound and communication are essential because I can only either talk or listen. I know I can make the audio come through the single earphone and chat at the same time but there is no surround sound and I can only hear through one ear. Is there an adapter I can use to be able to plug my Bose and PS earphone in at the same time. I would like to use my Bose to listen and my PS earphones to talk.
USB Mixer to PS4 connection Help [Yamaha MG10XU]
I have a Yamaha MG10XU USB mixer and I am trying to use this to connect my XLR microphone to the PS4. Every tutorial that I have seen shows a Behringer USB mixer being used and plugged into the PS4. The PS4 is recognizes a mic being plugged in immediately. This is not the case for me using my Yamaha. Anyone else having this problem? Is the MG10XU not compatible with the PS4 or is my PS4 bad? Child friendly split screen games?

I'm going to start a gaming club at my school, but we only have one TV.
I'm not well versed in the PS4 library as I bought it for a few specific titles (Bloodborne and Nier) and I normally play on PC.
Being a "responsible" teacher I'm looking for some child friedly games (youngest are 10) that would be good for some friendly tournaments and chill times.
If you think there is something I need to get which isn't child friendly that is also of interest, I may arrange PG13 nights as well.

It's was an amazing game definitely a contender for goty for me but holy shit the final levels with enemies instantly dropping you from gun shots and swords was so frustrating. Any word on if they will balance this for kiwami or is it like that in all yakuza games??

Like title says, I want to bring awareness to the great strategy video board game that is Armello as it could stand a few more people playing. The singleplayer is fun and the AI are pretty good but the game really shines playing against real people. For $20 this game is a steal.

IGN gives Madden 18 an 8.6 (Same game every year) but gives Uncharted Lost Legacy a 7.5...
Madden has barely changed in the past 5 years, only with very small incremental updates. One of IGN's biggest criticism for Uncharted Lost Legacy was its to similar to Uncharted 4 and for that reason IGN believes it deserves an low score. I know they're 2 different genres but all ratings are suppose to be comparable not exclusive to an genre. Hypocrisy at its finest, Lost Legacy was amazing, I guess EA pays well...

Anyone having issues trying to upload a clip to YouTube ?
So I got a clip from playing the WW2 beta yesterday that was quite funny and want to upload to my YouTube via share play.
It asks me to sign into my YouTube which I do then press upload to which it asks me to sign in to YouTube once again, so I do and try to upload again to only having to sign into YouTube... again, and it's just a continuous loop of trying to upload and asking me to sign in over and over again. What can I do to fix this issue?
How is everyone liking the Dissidia FF NT?
It look good and the combat is interesting but it's too fast for me atm. The tutorial didn't really help that much since it was just a video that moved quickly and didn't actually have you do the moves it was showing you. The targeting is what's throwing me off more than the moves though. Sometimes I'm targeting someone on my left but he's off screen and I can't pan to him/her?
I'm enjoying though.

Is my hard drive failing or is my system
When playing a game some of the audio from the game stops working then I loose all power to the system but the light on the ps4 stays on and have to hold the power button for 30 seconds for it to turn off. When booting back up it rebuilds database then gives me a warning not to unplug my system.
Random messages from strangers on rarely used PSN account
I use two accounts, one of which, a PS+ account, I only use for acquiring the monthly PS+ games and purchasing new games. The other one is my primary account, which I use for all my gaming.
Over the last week or two, I have received at least two messages from strangers saying nothing more than "hi" or something similar on my rarely used account.
I know I can block messages from strangers, which I will now do, but how are they finding this account? I have never listed it online and in fact it doesn't even show up when Googled.
User account not showing up
Hi, When I try to log into my user account my account doesn't show up, I've tried to create a new user with the same email address and password but an error comes up saying I can't use the same details as another user on the PS4. Does this mean I have to create a completely new account? Or will it rectify itself? Thanks
Single player game?
Anyone have good recommendations for a good single player game? Looking for a action packed sorta game with a good story kinda like uncharted.
A couple of friends and I were talking and they say GTA 5 is silently one of the top 3 games of this generation. Is it really that good... I have yet to ever play a GTA.
That and Yakuza being "sleeper" type hits....
Yakuza I hear about a lot... but GTA is hardly mentioned but it seems to be everywhere and the price rarely drops. Even used its with 10-15 dollars of new.
Nioh data got corrupted?! And my last online save was from July, is there anything I can do to fix this?
I can't believe this had to happen now, the power died while it was saving at my house, And the file got corrupted, and the only backup I have is from July. I tried to do a rebuild database as well hoping it would recover it from an earlier time but no luck.

ps remote play lag
Hi, I've just started using the remote play and I love it!! the only thing that annoys me about it is there is a bit of stuttering and sometimes I get a gray screen for a few seconds! I'm on pc, my ps4 is in the same room, I have good internet connection "~100/mb down, ~75/mb up" One last thing, I use wifi in my pc and my ps4
LAN cable connection help
I have been using LAN for a few months and it works fine pretty much most of the time apart from when it just suddenly goes. I try to reconnect but it just says finding network environment and then puts me onto the manual LAN connection page. I am not sure what to do
I want to switch to playing XCOM2 from PC to PS4, how buggy is the game right now?
So I have XCOM2 on PC, but I want to switch to the PS4 port since it's discounted right now and as I have to start a new game anyway. I know the load times for missions are ridiculous, and I can handle it, but are there any big or gamebreaking bugs right now? I'll be playing on a regular PS4 and I would hate to switch and then find out the missions bug out on me. I have yet to have any serious issues on PC, aside from bad optimization (which seems better now anyway).
The reason I don't want to play on PC anymore is because my laptop is already constantly under processing stress due to my hobbies and I don't want to put any more load on it. The PS4 version is cheap enough right now to justify buying when I have the console just sitting there. Plus I like the trophies :) Thank you!
COD ww2 Beta - TV keeps restarting
Been trying too play the ww2 beta & my TV keeps restarting. Tried changing my hdmi cable & set the resolution too the correct setting for my TV. Also turned off the HDCP setting and HDMI device link.
Wondering if anyone else has had similar problems or a solution too fix this issue, as i'm curious too whether or not this would carry on if I actually bought the game?

I dont know what it is, maybe because its just a beta, it feels like it lost it charm. I loved the psp ones to death. Anyone who also played the beta care to share their opinions? I also believe its cause i'm not a big fan of the 3v3 format, and also there are no ex bursts which kinda suck, instead they were replaced for summons..
I put in a game disc for the first time. It starts installing, then stops and a pause logo appears on the download progress bar. It's just stopped for good. What's going on?
I click on it and it just flashes and nothing else happens. I've rebuilt the database, deleted and reinstalled the game, tried with the network connection off.
I've tried other discs and they play fine, and I've swapped the disc of this game in store and it still has the same issue.
Anyone have any ideas please?!

[HELP] [QUESTION] Madden 18 copying install version 100
I was playing madden last night til 11 pm and went to bed. I woke up this morning and it is "copying application version 100" with 9.5ish GB to be downloaded. Well I've been trying to download for 3 hours now and it gets within 1 gb of finishing and pauses and minimizes itself. I give it a couple mins and the updating screen won't even pop up. What should I do. I've reset cache, reset modem, unplugged internet from ps4 and reset cache. Tried hard wire and Wi-Fi.

Hey everyone, I tried to find an answer to this last night but didn't have much luck. Maybe I will now that more people are probably browsing the sub.
I've had my ps4 for like 4 years or so, no problems until now. Sometimes when I want to start it up I get a white light and my controllers won't connect. The screen will just be black. If I hold my finger on the power button to restart the ps4 it won't respond and I have to unplug the power cable in order to restart it. Once I do that it'll typically start up just fine. Now it's gotten worse because in the middle of playing games my screen will just go black and my controllers will turn off but the ps4 stays on with the white light. Any ideas?

Very unpopular opinion but my Pro found new life!
So I've had all PlayStation consoles. Ps3/PS4/Pro since their respective launches. I really do feel the Ps4 is a better gaming machine than the X1, which I own. BUT that controller is bad. I hated the Dual Shock and I greatly dislike the DS4.
I bought a CronusMax plus so I can use the X1 controller on the Ps4....*drool*. Granted the device is $60 and the 4 port USB hub was $15 but it's well worth it to me.
Just like that my Pro is back in the game!
*Edit* It works flawlessly. I love Diablo 3 but it looks sad and will chug when their is a lot going on on the X1. I have to start all over again but I was in heaven playing D3 on the Pro last night, and revisiting Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted 4. All with that glorious X1 controller.

the pads cannot be mapped to all the buttons, only a select few. also, make sure you get the magnetic key option or you cant remap anything. personally I'm not very excited with the controller, quality-wise its the same or worse than the original. I'f I had to do it again I'd just buy the attachment that goes on top of the normal controller.
Help! PS4 Crashing when formatting external harddrive
So background --
Injustice 2, which was downloaded on my external hard drive kept crashing when I tried to open it, so I decided to delete it. While deleting it, PS4 crashed, and it said I had to repair and then format my external hard drive. Whatever, didn't really care so I did. However, now the hard drive is empty, and everytime I try to format it through the settings, my ps4 crashes after 5 mins of "Formatting... Etc.". Now, everytime I restart my ps4 it tells me I still need to format it. What am I supposed to do?

Some info on what I'm using: OG 500GB PS4, Toshiba External Harddrive 3.0, Orico harddrive casing (it is an internal harddrive in a casing to make it external)
I just don't get it. It worked completely fine and now I cant even format or use it. And while writing this post, again my PS4 crashed while formatting.

I was just about to buy it then read someone really complaining about the frame rate, so did a little more digging and quite a few reviewers really hammered on the game.

The PS4 makes my headsets crackle.
For the past few months I've been having audio issues with my headsets, it originally happened on my A40s and I got so fed up with it, I went to Best Buy with my warranty and got the A50s, I went back home to Update and fix up the settings for the a50s on the pc and plugged it back into the console and turned it on, the audio issues never went away. Some of the sounds in game cut out, when the music builds up or a huge explosion it starts to crackle a little bit I'm starting to get angry and I'm just about ready to only use my A50s for chat audio only.
Fun Multi-Player Action or Sports Game with Good Rankings, Not Tied to Team Win/Loss?
I tend to be very competitive when gaming and when I play, I always play to win. Right now my top two PS4 games are Rocket League and Overwatch, they're great games don't get me wrong... But the competitive really sucks on both in the way that matchmaking makes you win/lose/win/lose and works against you to hold down your rank.
Teamwork is a joke in competitive and it is frustrating to be the best player by far on your team 10 games in a row only to get your rankings stomped into the dirt over and over again when you wind up on teams with sub-par teammates. I'm tired of games that rank you down because your teammates suck, quit, and don't care despite your own individual great team-oriented performance.
I'm looking for a few ideas of games with a similar style of fast-paced action, but ones that can pull together evenly balanced online teams on both sides. The game should rank your competitive performance based on individual contributions to the team, not on overall team win/loss results, especially if the game logic is horrible at making fair teams. If I play a great game and do a solid job for my team, but I still ultimately lose because half of my team quit the match or the other team is stacked full of skilled top level smurfs, my rank should still improve and not decline.
Any good ideas of game that have a fairly advanced competitive ranking system like this?

i usa a dac for my headphones on ps4, and my usual microphone is having problems, so i can't get a headset, however i also can't get a jack-based microphone because i don't know if my mic's problems come from the microphone itself or the controller and don't have the money to make sure(i have upto around 20€).

what online multiplayer pve games with matchmaking u can recommend?

Destiny 1, 2 - great example. strikes, raids very fun.
Uncharted 4 - survival mode. the ally AI usually plays better then most teammates, but still super fun. ( u can buy special items to revive and heal players - i like that)
Killing Floor 2 - constant action, doesn't really matter how good your team is, it's always fun for me. ( have entire medic perk which i enjoy playing the most)
Titanfall 2 - frontier defense mode. i can utilize great movement system without being afraid of possibility of being sniped by g2 players ( like myslef, lol)
dark souls 3, bloodborne coop - thats like my top favorite coop games. praise the sun sunbro! (healing miracles, aggro spells, i can show players where the cool items are hidden and fight invaders)
coop games that don't work for me:
dying light - great game, but it's better played with a friend so u can play at your preferable pace.
diablo 3 - i play this game with my gf. online had some cheaters, a lot of idling players. still great game.
mmo rpg- only tried vanilla WoW back in a days, i thought it was quite boring, never tried mmo's since. and i am nit ready to pay monthly subscription for one game, because i constantly jump from game to game.

- The characters look very good - it's a Final Fantasy game after all. Square Enix knows what they are doing.
- In some maps the framerate is extremely bad, almost unplayable
- The HUD is ... too much
- Too many effect, to the point sometimes I'm not sure what I am doing
- Camera needs serious works
If you are a hardcore fan of Final Fantasy, then the game might be fun for you. Otherwise it can be a hit or a miss.

Recently got a fallout 4 vinyl sticker that covers the entire console, but the glue on it is cheap, anyway I can keep it from peeling?

Trying to help out a friend
So to make a long story short.. my friend (actually a friend and not me, I'd own up to it) had hopped on his ps4 one day and saw his digital copy of Nioh was locked and when he called tech support for PlayStation they refunded him, i guess removed the license and stuff, and then told him to buy another digital copy and then it locked him out of that and cleared his data from everything. So im wondering, has anyone had a similar issue with this? Because he doesn't want to have to platinum the game all over again and try and make up about 200 hours of grinding and straight RNG blessings. Is there any way what so ever to recover this data? PlayStation support has been no help at all to him and its caused a lot of headache for him. Hope someone can help and thanks in advance.

Need help with HDMI switch box
So I have a Ps4 Pro, and an Xbox One S. I have a 4k HDR tv, but only one hdmi port supports HDR. I went ahead and bought a 4k hdmi switch box with 2.2 passthrough. I hooked it up to the tv, and plugged my xbox one in, as well as the ps4. The xbox is working like a champ. Outputting 4k, with HDR, no problem.
My Ps4 pro, just has a black screen. If I change the resolution from 4k to 1080p, then my image is back, however this is kind of making the whole point of the switch box moot. What is happening here, and how can I fix it?

Uncharted: TLL Download Question
I bought U:TLL last night and noticed that the download is two parts: first it's around 10 gigs and then the last 34 gigs or so.
Part one is finished downloading—can I play single player now? Or do I have to wait for everything to download?
What PS4 games are improved by wearing headphones?
I just bought Hellblade and at the intro screen it advised using headphones during gameplay and WOW, it is such a great addition to the immersion. I had no idea you could hear all sounds outputted by your PS4 through your wireless controller.
What other titles would you recommend using with headphones? I've had a look already and have seen that using headphones with Alien Isolation is great for hearing the Alien and where it is in relation to you. Do you have any other suggestions?
PS4 shut off and won't turn back on
So my PS4 turned off in the middle of a game of Madden and won't turn back on and I can't get the game out. I've tried letting it cool down, unplugging everything and plugging it back in, the "tap the PS4 on your knee" procedure and the "turn the screw by the vents for manual eject of the disk" to no avail. The PS4 will turn on for a split second then turn right back off. Also the power button works maybe once out of 10 times pressing it. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

(HELP) Ps4 Debug mode
I just got myself a nice ps4 slim and I even know that the ps4 plays just fine and everything but for some reason it's going into a black screen now and will not show any video, I have limited the two posibilities to this. 1. The T.v itself is slowly diying and just needs to be replaced. 2. The ps4 itself is have video output problems and needs to be put into debug mode and restarted. Only Problem is that I do not know how to do this process and when ever I try to search it I only find websites trying to hack the system and I do not want to do that. Games missing from purchase history?
I went to redownload Rocket League today after playing a ton of Lucioball in Overwatch and it's just gone from my purchase history. It shows up in my PS4 library under "Purchased" but if I try to download it, it tries to make me purchase it again. So I renewed my licenses in the settings, still didn't help. Then I checked my purchase history on my phone and it doesn't show Rocket League, but it does show the Supersonic Fury DLC that I purchased. Has anybody had any experience dealing with this before?
Rented uncharted the lost legacy disk ejected out of PS4 pro
I rented the game from GameFly however everything seemed fine until I heard the disk kept spinning and the console got real loud... all of a sudden it gave me a error and then the disk ejected itself. My question is has anyone has this issue with the same or different game? Also could it be just the game or is it the console? Any advice on this would be much appreciated thanks.
Extremely wierd DualShock 4v2 problem
I have extremely weird problem in my DualShock 4v2 controller. The problem is that, when I press L2 my controller functions like I would press the left analog stick up. It happens in menus and in-game in various games. That basically ruins a brand new controller which cost quite a lot.
I have already tried to reset the controller from the reset button and reset controller mappings from the settings menu. None of those worked and now I feel like I'm screwed. So, does anyone have any other ways to possibly fix my problem? Also, is there anyone else who has experienced this with their controller.
Any notification when a multiplayer match starts?
Hey folks, I'm owning PS4 for 2 years now, but I'm not sure if missed the feature, or Sony so dumb that it is not implemented. Is there any type of notification when a multiplayer match is found? In bunch of games I play, it takes more than a minute to find a multiplayer game, so I switch to browsing PS store or doing some stuff on the laptop, but then I find that game already started(overwatch), or search abandoned right after you minimize the game (SFV). Am I missing something?

And I love being in that world, even if it's just for 15 seconds at a time before I die! But I've been in a bunch of games where people end up with 130 kills and zero deaths. Is this normal?
Rented Horizon But Can't Use Saved Game
I received a free rental for Redbox over the weekend and picked up Horizon Zero Dawn. I played it for thirteen hours and made sure to do a manual save before I returned it.
I bought it and popped the disc in yesterday evening. It proceeds to install a new copy of the game. I can't launch the "Redbox version" without their disc, but none of my save data works with the other install. I have verified that it is there. Also to note, my trophy data shows up under the new copy as well.
Any suggestions on remedying this? I can pull the hdd and put it in a computer if necessary.

So apparently I screwed myself with the PS4 COD WWII beta...
So I got my email, put the code into activisions "portal" to get my pen code. Got it. Went to psn, clicked redeem and typed in the code. (Might be noted this was on the computer) As soon as I did this, it asked me to sign in. So I did, then it asked me for my code again. When I typed it in a second time, but this time it says "Code has already been redeemed." But now the beta is not in my purchased, not in my library. When I went to the beta in the store, it still says I need to pre-order.

Help games on my new ps4 run slow
I just bought a new ps4 and every game I play on it runs very slow (just cause 3, uncharted 4, battlefield 1) and I watched youtube videos to make sure if it's slow or not and it is very slow compared to other people which games run smoothly and mine just get FPS drops and just don't run smoothly please help fix the problem!
HBO Go app buffers infinitely then upon closing of the app and opening again it "cannot connect to network"
Does anyone else come across this issue often? The only way I can continue watching a show is if I turn off the PS4 and restart but I feel like an app shouldn't require a full system reboot every time it buffers.

I have had my PS4 for a good year or two now and I am only experiencing this problem recently. Whenever I put a disk in it makes this really irritating noise and when I'm about ten minutes into the game it automatically feeds the disk out. Controller doesn't stay charged long
I'm looking for help to increase the battery life of my controller. It usually will go to extremely low level in just one sitting of gaming (three hours on average). I do not have the Sony brand charger; I am using a standard LG micro USB cord that was a charger for an old phone. Should I get an new cord designed for the controller?

What is the best way to store your PS4 while traveling?
Specifically air travel. I'm thinking as keeping in my carry on luggage. I'm not sure if I should wrap in bubble wrap or clothes. Any other tips though?
PS4 doesn't play music in surround over HDMI ARC. Why?
So, my PS4 is hooked up through a 5.1 system via HDMI. Movies and games are in surround, but music through the Spotify app and even menu music in games such as Battlefield 1 play in stereo. Is this by design? Also, side question: my 5.1 supports Dolby and DTS. Does one sound better than the other?

My wired Tritton headset will not work properly anymore. I checked all the plugs and settings and I can even hear my friends when we are in a party, but I can BARELY here any game volume or sound effects. I have 2 ps4's (a launch day and a newly purchased pro). I installed black ops 3 on the pro yesterday but am having trouble with the zombie map add ons. The map (Giant) is saying it is already installed but clicking on it in game brings me to the playstation store. How do I fix this without reinstalling the game (its 60 GB of my 1 TB data cap)

PlayStation automatic downloads
Hi All,
I have an issue with automatic downloads. When a patch comes out for any game/software it's not being downloaded unless I check it myself or I try to run game and then Patch downloading begins. I thought if someone is PS+ member there's an option of having all the updates being downloaded completely automatically?
I checked few video guides how to do it and the only thing I can notice that's different is taht I don;t have an option "Application Update Files" in the Automatic Downloads category of Settings.
Is anyone able to provide some kind of advise, help or guide what's going on and how can I do it, as I remember it wasn;t an issue few months back, it happened just recently.

Does the ps4 pro display in actual 4k? Or is it upscaled?
I keep hearing that the ps4 pro does not display in "actual 4k", and that it is upscaled but not in legitimate 4k. I just got a new lg oled55c6p with hdr but I only have a regular ps4. Would upgrading to the ps4 pro for $200 be worth it?

I game shared my friend a bunch a games, but then i was supposed to un game share him but when I do he still has the games, and he is able to play the WWII beta from his hong kong account even though that account is not his primary.
I just tried to play split screen with my 4 year old brother and his account was banned.
I was going to play split screen minecraft with him and he is banned from PSN. He's only on the account when he's playing with me and the last time I played online with him, everything was ok. Why did it randomly get banned?

Transferring to a new PS4 pro
Hey all, so I'm looking at moving to a PS4 Pro from my OG PS4. Here's my issue, most of my library is digital. So much so, that I have a 2TB internal driove full and a 2TB external drive hanging off the system itself. My question is if I move that drive to the new PS4 after I sign in and initialize it on my account and all that, will the games be recognized or would they still need to be redownloaded? I know you can't just move an internal drive over, just wondering on the external. I don't have a drive large enough to do a full backup, so I'm just trying to figure out the best way to do this. I'll ber trading in the old system, so a direct system to system isn't going to be a possibility. Thanks!

Here me out here...I was an original playstation player on the PS3.I used to love the uncharted series (Best game imo) and ratchet and clank.However when the current gen came out all my friends moved to Xbox so I moved.
So here I am currently deciding whether to go for a PS4 or a pc of roughy the same price (maybe a bit more)
For all the pc people out there I know that pc has: Better graphics Upgradability More games Free online
But I don't care about graphics as long as it's in Hd And I'm not really a lover of many indie games of games which don't receive as much publicity as AAA games.
I'm pretty much asking for why I should not get a pc and any good games there are that I should get alongside uncharted and probably last of us

Uncharted The Lost Legacy is better than Uncharted 4
So much more enjoyable imo. Uncharted 4 started strong but started to get extremely boring and tedious later on.
Out of curiosity how many hours a month, week, day do you "game"? My latest Sony email stated I'm at 410 hours since the Pro's release.

Share Play Question - 4 player
Did some digging and not able to find a good answer for this. Trying to do some share play with my friend and his wife, with my system hosting. We have 2 controllers running at my end, and 2 at theirs (with his wife logged in as Guest on his system)
The invite worked, and share play itself works great, but my system seems to only allow connecting to one of their 2 controllers, meaning we can't get 4 player up and running.
Any advice for getting around this?

Black screen when I turn on PS4
There is no sound coming from the TV, only the PS4. I tried googling it and gotna lot of results saying to put it on safe mode. It is still black on safe mode. I read another post thats involves a second tv. I don't have a second tv. And yes, I tried unpluggin g everything and plugging it back in.
Connection to wifi issue.
The electrical line was apparently struck by lightning about 3 months ago. Before that I could connect to my wifi no problem. After that happened, someone came and replaced my router which was cooked when the line was struck. Everything seemed to be the same, other devices connect to the wifi like before no problem. The PS4 can connect but it's just the bare minimum to connect, can't play games online at all, can't go to the ps store, can't search the internet, can't do literally anything. I gave up and used my iPhone as a hotspot and my PS4 connects completely fine but it is always NAT type 3 (strict). So my PS4 isn't the issue. A week ago I got really fed up and tried to connect my ps4 to the wifi again, 500KBPS down on the internet test on PS4.... I let it sit on that screen and after 10 minutes tested again. This time it said 10MB download speed, which is normal. So I got excited and downloaded a game I've been waiting to download. I downloaded 16 gigs in like 8 hours which is good enough to play games online. When I try to play games online though, the internet stops working all together. I can't do anything but download updates and games while the PS4 is in rest mode. Soooo, should I purchase a secondary router that connects to my current router via Ethernet cable and possibly coax cable ( current router has coax cable that transfers the internet stuff, sorry not tech savvy), or does anyone have another tip? If I can download 16 gigs in 8 hours using my home wifi, why doesn't the wifi work with literally any other PS4 internet service including online gaming? Sorry for the really long post, I'm just so tired of changing settings and following online tutorials that never work. Thanks in advance for replies I will be actively checking when I can to provide answers to any questions.

I just finished Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, did anyone understand at all what happened?
I'm extremely confused at how to game played out. I was told by a friend that this was a fairly straight forward game, with close details on norse mythology.
Now I understood very little of what was actually going on, and I'm a nut for story telling games so I'm not sure if I missed something huge, or if this game's story was kinda slapped around like a messed up picasso painting.
So all I really understood is Senua hears voices, and how her 'curse' was really just her oppressive father scarred her as a child into thinking that she was the darkness, and how she was the cause of all the misfortune happening to everyone. However I don't understand how she could 'smell the rot', or really anything about the final cutscene.
Can anyone elaborate, cuz I've tried looking it up and I've only gotten mixed theories so far.

So one year ago I dropped my PS4 in my turtle tank and I asked for advice on how to revive it, and you all mocked me, but then I got it going and you were all thrilled.
Most people said It would be dead Within 6 months well I'm very pleased to tell you that it is still running strong one year later, the turtles have gone to my brother's and it now lives happily in a safe place.

Yakuza 0 - how can a series be consistently good but not talked about outside of Japan?
Honestly, this series has been going on for years with consistent and quality content. These games actually give you side quests and distractions that are both fun and worth doing. It isn't chuck full of Ubisoft collectathons. On top of the gameplay is a narrative that delivers.
Do you think the lack of exposure is from it being niche?
Changed Payment Method - PS Plus Deactivated
I recently got a new bank account, but my old one is still active and has funds in it. I got auto charged last month for PS Plus to my old bank account. Since then, I changed my default payment information to my new bank account. Now, the PS Store is showing that I'm not enrolled in PS Plus and wants me to pay up again.
Has anyone else had this problem? I'm just assuming that changing bank accounts caused the problem, but maybe it's something else?

Problem with remote play app on PC
So the app worked fine maybe a week or two ago, but now all of a sudden when I open it and hit start or settings the app crashes instantly. Is anyone else having any issues? Really can't find much through google. I tried restarting my PC and uninstalling/reinstalling.

I think I fried my PS4...
End of power chord came loose in surge protector while I was taking another chord out. PS4 plug began to spark, and then the system shut off. Panic ensues
Unplugged it, waited a minute, then plugged it back in to find that it would not start, but go to a screen saying checking memory status. After a wait, it tells me the PS4 cannot start normally. So I ran it in safe mode, did a restart from there and no dice. Realized that the data on my HDD was most likely corrupted(Internal screaming considering I recently upgraded to my HDD to 2 TBs).
Then I attempted to load the latest software version via USB in safe mode. Another fail after it said that it couldn't read the device or that the latest update wasn't on here. It was. The files were named correctly (PS4- UPDATE- <UPDATEFILE>). I even used this same method/ same USB when I ripped and replaced the HDD.
Lastly, I attempted to perform a fresh install but was unfortunately met with the same error as before.
Looking for some assistance here. Is my system/HDD totally fried?? What can a guy do??

How does area exploration work?
Basically, if there an overworld (older FF7, 8, 9 style)? Is it area connected to each area (Tales series style)? Or, is it a map with a select area system (hyperdimension neptunia style)?
Also, is the combat real time ATB similar to the FF series, or do you select all of your party's commands at once and everyone just goes in speed order, etc

I'm downloading three games at once but my connection isn't the best so I have to pause some so they download faster. But if I put it in rest mode will the other 2 downloads stay paused???
Some other questions I have are if the downloads are faster if the PS4 is on or if it's in rest mode.

Seriously, who was it? I can see people with controllers opening up because of corroded metal. They could've used Cor-Ten, or rust proof coating... Or you know metal/alloys that don't rust? I find it funny that they give a controller with terrible battery compared to last gen and corrodible screws (last gen they made the smart move to have the screws deep into the controller so it doesn't rust) yet have the audacity to charge more for the controller itself. ALSO, WHY THE FUCK ARE OFFICIAL CONTROLLERS SO EXPENSIVE?

Hi, so I recently turned 18 and therefore went to change one of my subaccounts to my main account. Then I went to buy PlayStation Plus in the store, but before entering the store it greets me with a menu, where it tells me to update my profile. The menu has my first name, my surname and my avatar. When I proceed and click next in brings me into a loading screen with says "Please wait" and won't proceed after that. It just keeps on loading and loading.
What should I do? I would love to play the WWll Beta by now, but I can't :(

what is current status of PS4 PRO for 1080p users?
I have OG PS4 and it is annoying me too much - first, and most important eject button is electrostatic so it can eject in random moments(wake up even in middle of night). Then also important thing is noise, my OG ps4 is like a jet.
I decided to buy new PS4. Now I am confused between slim and pro. I can handle 100$ more but I wonder what actually I can expect.
What I guess games will be rendered in 1440p(most) and scaled to 1080p so it will result better quality. Especial edges of sharp surfaces. Some games will feature minor upgrades - like reflections, higher ress textures or better foliage.
I am not expecting better fps. If I understand that fps in most cases if the same. Sometimes little more stable, sometimes litter weaker- depends what title. 99% of devs are not providing 60fps upgrade. Also boost mode is little outdated while new games has some ps4 pro implementation so boost mode will be not used.
Do you have any other pros cons of picking pro over slim? I am still confues and not sure what I should order as 1080p user.
Trying to purchase Madden 18 on Playstation Store
I'm trying to buy the standard version of Madden 18 from the Playstation store online and when I click on the button to buy it, a separate window pops up asking which version only it doesn't let me click either. The mouse cursor turns into a hand over each version as if there are hyperlinks there but nothing happens when I click on either one. I've tried on IE and Chrome and my iphone and it's the same on all. What the freak is wrong with that online store? Granted I haven't actually tried through my PS4 app on the console yet, but how can the store be this broken?

Nostalgic games
A bunch of games - Crash Bandicoot, Sonic, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank - were remastered for PS4. But how good are these games, besides playing for nostalgia purposes? I am looking for an open-world game where you make your own adventure instead of doing quest. Horizon Zero Dawn is awesome but it is more similar to Witcher 3. Issue with loud audio while using Netflix
I just upgraded from a PS3 to a PS4, I want to start gaming again I took a long break. One of the other reasons I upgraded is because on my PS3 Netflix started having a jitter issue, I assumed it was because of old hardware and upgraded app...
I setup the PS4 everything seems good but now on this system I am having a new issue with Netflix, fight scenes, explosions, gun fire etc. all are way louder than dialog. I did not have this problem on the PS3 with the same setup at all, everything was always balanced.
Is there anything I should make sure is set in settings that would be causing this? Is there a specific reason why this is happening with the PS4 and not the PS3?
Any help would be greatly appreciated because right now it's unwatchable at night due to roommates and neighbors possibly being bothered by the loud sound.

Digital but I have the disk
So I have the disk for a game but, I see it's on ps plus for free so I went to download it and it said to put in the disk. So is there a way for me to download the game on my ps4 digitally so I can sell my disk for it?

This happens to me on Uncharted 4, GTA5, and Fallout 4. Any way to fix this? Or does anyone else have this problem? I thought it was just a GTA5 bug at first but its been happening on different games so I'm not sure what to make of it. I'm new to the PS4.
F2P titles on the PS4
Like many of you, I've always scoffed at the idea of F2P games. I would much rather pay my money up front and get everything rather than pay over time.
With that said, a few years ago I became sick. So sick that I've been on permanent medical leave from my job as a teacher. Ever since then money has been very tight and my gaming budget has really become non-existent.
As a result, I've had to turn to F2P games. I tried out Warframe and fell in love with it! I can unlock most, if not all, of the content just by playing the game, so I really enjoy that. Plus it's like playing Diablo as a space ninja...
Are there any other really worthwhile F2P games on the ps4? Games where I can unlock most, if not all, of the content just by playing the game. I'm all for supporting a dev for their hard work (and I'd love to support the guys at DE who made warframe, that's just not in the budget until I get better).
I tried skyforge and it's pretty...meh. I doubt I'll stick around for very long unless someone can convince me that it's really a worthwhile experience and gets better later on...

OG PS4 saying disc is dirty?
So i asked this before and didn't get an answer. So i put siege in my ps4 yesterday and it came up disc is dirty or damaged please check its not upside down or whatever it says so i clicked it again without removing disc and it worked? It did the exact same thing just now like yesterday i put siege in and it said disc is dirty again then worked straight after. The disc is brand new condition btw. I tested bf1 it worked fine. Is my ps4 breaking or is it just a normal thing that happens but is annoying?

So the other day I buy battle feild 1 then pre-ordered a game called last day of June and they both purchase and go through, but later on in the day I tried buying 5 other games and they just wouldn't go through. cant get any mics working on my playstation
Ive searched every where for a fix for this problem but everytime i search i get told 'take your mic out and plug it in really fast 5-10 times' that in itself is a horrendous fix for this ive bought 3 different mics for my system but nothing is working ive also used 2 different controllers and its still not picking up my voice but i can hear through them. Im hoping i can find a fix through here.

Hi everyone. I just recently moved into my dorm and set up, and I was trying to connect the PS4 to the internet via LAN (wireless doesn't support PS4). However I have been running into the problem as the title stated above, the LAN cable is most definitely plugged in and it is confirmed not the cable as the connection goes from the port to my computer. Using the same port, and the same cable, the PS4 is unable to see a LAN cable connected. I've googled the issue, and I'm hoping that the issue is not my PS4, and/or can be resolved? Thanks for your help.
EDIT: I have owned the PS4 for 2 years, never used or tried using a LAN cable until now
PSN Refund System Too Slow?
A little backstory, I pre-ordered the new Madden, then got a free code of the game, so I had to cancel my pre-order and get my $60 back, since you cant have 2 of the same game. This is my first ever time asking for a refund, and have heard they do a onetime good will policy where its instant, well on monday they said it will take 3-5 business days, and when I asked why not instant, they said my case was "Special", and well now its late into the 4th business day, and I still havent gotten a refund and the chat thing blocks me, its very frustrating

Micro USB charger won't fit my PS4 controller anymore?
Used my PS4 for the first time in a while today. When I plugged it in earlier today it worked fine, but as soon as I unplugged and tried to plug it in again later, it just wouldn't fit. Here's what my controller port looks like. Is there anything wrong with it, or could it be something with my cable?
Will Save data transfer from one ps4 to another?
First of all this is probably a dumb question, but Im not tech savvy at all. So please bear with me.
If I log on to my account on a friends ps4 and play a game (disk), will the data I progressed through a game be available on my account on my ps4? In other words is save data tied to my account or to the actual ps4 hardrive?
PS: My gut is telling me that its tied to the hardware, but I just wanted confirmation. Thanks!

PS4 Controller doesn't work pls help me i beg you guys
Last night my controller was perfectly working then I blue tooth it on my laptop and it connected. The controller is fully charge ( I think it's overcharged ). Tomorrow I clicked the PS Button it didn't blink and seems to be dead then i unplug the USB charger then plug it in back it blink orange for about 2 seconds then it disappear then it wouldn't work again. I tried turning off my PS then use my 2nd controller to turn it on while holding the share button and PS button at the same time then it luckily worked it lights red then i use it for about a minutes but I cant click the PS button of the 1st controller when I'm changing account user so i restart it again then it did not work again. I tried doing the reset thing at the back of it by using a Ballpen. Please help me :(

Yea or nay? ARK: Survival Evolved for splitscreen co-op. (And general thoughts on the game.)
I've been interested in this game for quite a while, and it seems like it would be fun to play in co-op with my wife. We enjoyed 7 Days to Die together and this game looks even better to me. That said, I don't know much about how it plays --- especially whether it's fun to play without a big online group.
Really just looking for whether people would recommend this game, specifically as a two-player experience. Thanks!
PS4 Twitch buffering,stuttering
My internet is pretty bad at the moment,but I can watch streams just fine on my PC connected through wifi,but the streams on the other hand lag miserably on my PS4 which is connected through cable.
Not hearing chat audio
My friends can hear me talk but I cant hear them in party chat. I have the grey sony wireless stereo headset. Its an official sony headset not sure why im having problems with it now as it has worked before i just started to get his problem recently. Any chance anyone knows a fix. I cant try to unplug it from the controller and plug it back in because its wireless. Any options or something i could change to hear party chat too?
