After wanting to venture into the world of better sound for gaming and doing a little bit of research, I decided to ditch my Turtle Beaches and get myself an AKG K553 to use for my gaming.
However, I honestly don't know too much regarding audio and hardware, so I'd love some advice! I plugged my new headphones' 3.5mm into my PS4 controller, and I do hear sound. But what should I choose for my PS4 "Audio Output Settings?"
For my headphones, is there a difference between HDMI Out and Digital Out (Optical) for the "Primary Output Port?" And are there differences between Linear PCM, Bitstream (Dolby), and Bitstream (DTS) for the "Audio Format (Priority)" setting?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Download problems
My downloads keep just stopping out of the blue. My download speeds are usually really fast but lately they'll stop or slow down with no real reason as my Internet works just fine everywhere else. I don't get error messages either. They also stop within a few minutes of my PS4 being put in rest mode.

Sorry if my problem has an obvious solution, but I run into trouble when setting up remote play on my desktop.
I have my PS4 in my parents' house cuz I share it with my younger brother. Since I really wanna play horizon zero dawn and Im 150km away because of work, I thought i'd give remote play a try. Thing is, when my brother goes to [remote play connection settings] - [Add device] on my acc, and gives me the numbers, when I go to use them on my desktop it says something like [connection failed] (in portuguese, so idk the exact message)

Hello, everyone so recently I have been trying to access my Japanese PSN account but have failed to sign in. I have tried to reset the password several times, however I have not managed to receive the password reset email. I checked the spam, junk, and trash folders. My search has allowed me to deduce that my account has been hacked. I believe this happened because of one time my email got hacked. I checked most of my accounts and got all of them back but I failed to check this one. Not until now have I tried to access my account, so it worries me that i might not be able to get it back. How do you store your PS4 games?
Initially I was going to go digital only for the PS4, as I have done with the Xbox One, however the games I want on the PS4 are a lot cheaper, physically.

Now, I seem to have huge issues making it work wirelessly. Now, If I just connect it to the PC, it works fine using the native driver. But I want to use something like DS4Windows or InputMapper. Neither of those work. I can get DS4Windows sometimes to detect my controller but I have to like unpair it, then pair it again every time for it to get detected, but then I get huge input lag with it 30-50ms until it stops working all together. I have tried to google and find solutions but nothing seems to work.

Something is wrong with my controller.
My ps4 controller is acting up and i've been looking for answers for this weird issue but no answers. Basically, everytime I press L3 to sprint in a game, it instead aims down sights in shooting games. If this is a common issue people already answered then sorry for asking but i've already searched here and in google but no luck.

When I start my ps4 on any TV other than my own it shows White noise on the screen and then cuts out, does anyone have any idea how too fix this and why this happens? The HIDMI cable is fine aswell I have tried 5.

Best way to connect my PS4 to a 5Ghz Wifi network?
Hi, the apartment complex that I live in has free Wifi that I use. It has a 2.4Ghz network that used to work decent for my PS4, with 2 to 4 MB/s download and upload speed.
But now the speed often dips to a catastrophic 5 KB/s. I think it's because some new neighbours are using the network, since it works okay in odd hours of the day (like in the middle of the night). Playing games four in the morning is not a solution...
However, there is a 5Ghz network with the same prefix, and it works perfectly on my PC with 10 MB/s.
So I wonder if there are any good solutions to this issue? Connecting with an ethernet cable is not an option. Threatening my neighbours is definitely not an option. So I wonder if there are any good adapters or other workarounds to this?
I can't activate my PS4 the same way anymore
So I share my PS plus with my cousin and everything was fine, i was able to activate and deactivate whenever i wanted, but recently, everytime I try to do so, i can't. As soon as I click ''change to this PS4'' i get this NP-41772-1 error saying that the only way I can activate my account is to deactivating it from the other system, are there any fixes for it? bc now i have to keep messaging my cousin to deactivate the account and it's very annoying. I checked other posts regarding errors like this in this sub but havent found anything

USB headet won't mute?

I have a USB headset that I currently use for the PC and it works perfectly fine, but when I use it for PS4 (plugged into the system), I cannot use the volume/mute buttons on the side of the headset. Is there a setting for this or any reason why it would work on PC but not PS4?

I really wish I didn't need multiplayer trophies for the Platinum
I've been kinda strapped for cash over the past few years so trophy hunting has become a way for me to get way more out of my old games. However, I don't like playing multiplayer so I don't have PS+ and can't do it even if I wanted to. Sadly, this means that I can't platinum half of my old games because they require multiplayer actions for at least 1 trophy.
I think there are some games that allow you to get the platinum just through single player stuff and use the multiplayer trophies as extras. I wish more games did that.

My friend got a console ban for a reason he doesn’t know because his email was hacked.
So my friend just told me he cant play because of a console ban, his account has been hacked before and so has his email, he cant check at all to see the reason why he was banned and thinks it might even have been a hacker somehow did it. Is there anything at all he can do?
How Hurricane Irma, Sony, and AT&T bent me over.
I learned a lot in the last 2 days about how internet works and ip address. In short after hurricane irma killed my internet for several days I was back online and ready to roll. Turns out my ISP (ATT) provided me a new IP address because mine is dynamic and changes. The IP address i was provided was previously used by a hacker of some kind and I was block from several website like Ikea.. but most importantly Sony which rendered my PS4 a brick error code WS-37397-9. My IP was black listed, banned, worthless.
1st step after reading all the information on the internet about this very common issue I call AT&T and get the call center. I indulge the tech and turn my router off 800 times and reset everything. Even after explaining multiple time I need an IP refresh. I get elevated to Tech level 2, also at the call center. He under stands my problem... Claims to try other stuff then tells me if I want a new IP I have to buy a static IP. I explain I don't want a new IP I just want any IP but the one I have. This conversation went on for almost 1 hour. He transfers me to someone else who has no idea whats going on and I start all over again.
Call Sony, we don't unbanned IPs, we know it was not your fault, call you ISP and just get a new one. They ban IP address forever!! WTF how lazy is that.
Ok so I am 4 hours deep at this point. I go to the local ATT office to talk with some one near by. The employee completely understand tell me to call tech support again and ask for the "local tech support office Tier 2". He tells me to just keep saying those words over and over again until they transfer me. He was correct because it literally took almost 15 minutes no the phone with the call center just stating over and over again the same thing, and the tech literally just ignored me and kept asking what my issue was.
Ok so now I am speaking with ATT local call center. With in 2 minutes she completely understands the issue and gets another employee online so I have two working this issue. He explain the "dynamic IP" I get has a lease on it and basically unless i lose power when the Lease is up I will have the SAME public IP for the life of my account. Let that sink in... I will have the same "dynamic" public IP for years if I never lose power for more than 24 hours AND the lease happens to be up in the time frame.
After 1 hours and 45 minutes of them calling around and checking and working I am told there is nothing they can do I am stuck with this IP address!
The only way to fix it is to completely close out my entire ATT account and open a new one with a new customer ID which is what the current IP address lease is assigned to this way it will randomly give me a new one. So this is what I did. Now I have a new tech coming to to setup the same internet I currently have because ATT provided me a hackers IP and could not give me a new one!
This blows my mind, for those with the same problem here are all the things people told me to do, or I read online, that did not work with ATT. Also I have fiber not sure if that is relevant.
- Reset router/modem, didn't work.
- Turn off Router/modem for 24 hours, didn't work.
- Change PS4 manual IP information with 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 something like that. You can google it didn't work for me.
- Get a new modem/router from ATT. The IP is leased to you account therefore the modem does not matter. But I made them send me one and i tried any way. didn't work.
Solution:: Change ISP or close your entire account and open a new one per the recommendation from ATT.
What makes me even angry is i am assuming they will just recycle my broken IP address now to someone else and have the exact same problem!!

Firmware 5.0 - random blackscreen known issue?

yesterday I started to play some PS4 again. In the meantime, while it was in rest mode for many weeks, it downloaded firmware 5.0 and I installed it.
After playing for a while, I got a few blackscreens for like 1-1.5 secs, the sound and picture is gone and then its coming back.
Does anyone know if this is a known issue with firmware 5.0?
Playstation Store Not Working On PC
I was just searching the PS Store on my laptop using Firefox and noticed that a bunch of games pages as well as the search feature aren't working properly... It looks like some tabs are working, but for the most part I keep getting a "Unable to find this page" notification and a prompt to go back to the main home screen. Is anyone else experiencing this? Maybe they're working on the site today?
PS4 reboots and possibly loses data?
So this is the second time this has happened to me, and I'm wondering if other people have had this issue or have any suggestions.
Basically, both times this has happened, I was watching YouTube with my phone plugged in to one port to charge, and my extended storage in the other USB slot, the PS4 rebooted automatically, told me my extended storage was not disconnected correctly, and it would need to be repaired.
I did that, and as soon as it rebooted, three games suddenly had to download data. I believe this is due to data loss after the restart, as there were no pending patches before restarting.
So I'm basically looking for suggestions as my Google searches are coming up with nothing.
Ps4 pro won't recognize camera
Hey everyone I'm trying to play some vr after buying a ton of games and it's just not recognizing my camera. Idk when this exactly happened, but I did play vr a little over a month ago with no problems. I've tried reconnecting everything including the breakout box and restarted everything multiple times.
I've narrowed it down to the port, I forgot that I had another Ps4 camera, the original one, that is absolutely in perfect condition that was barely ever used and that did not work as well. So am I completely boned here...

Started fixing my PlayStation controller because the charging port was broken. Now it won't turn on.
So I brought a new port and replaced the old one in my controller fairly easily - and while my controller is dismantled I can turn it on and use it with my PS4. However when I put it all together again it doesn't turn on anymore.
If I use my fingernail to pry apart the plastic slightly on the left side of the controller without the screws in I can also use it fine. So I know all the parts work inside and I don't need to reset it - but can anyone help me find a solution to this as I've searched through Google and I can't find anything. Also know the P.S. button isn't dirty because it does work when the controller is pulled apart.

New to remote play and it keeps disconnecting on sign in.
The remote play app runs fine on my PC, there is no input lag actually going to sign in, but as soon as I click sign in it disconnects my PC from the PS4. I tried shutting off the firewall but same result. Any other troubleshooting techniques out there?

How will an original PS4 (launch day) look on a 4K HDR screen?
My old Samsung D6000 finally bit the dust and I’m looking at getting a new TV. I’m looking at a 55” 4K HDR set. Should I expect it to look a little off because the TV is capable of better picture or should I be fine? Not sure if I should start saving for a Pro or just keep what I’ve got.
PS4 HDMI Port Broken -- Exposed Pin?

First post in this sub so sorry if there's a rule against repair posts and there's another sub I should go to, but I'm hoping I could get some help with an issue I've been having. A few weeks ago I started to notice some flickering on screen, and occasionally my screen would go black for a few seconds before returning to normal. Soon enough I would just get a black screen, and my TV would display the message "receiving audio only," although from time to time the screen would appear but a little fuzzy and slightly off-color, and occasionally it would strangely get green and purple. At times, I could situate the HDMI cable and fiddle with it in such a way that it would work for a little while, but the problem has been getting worse and worse.
Most recently, I just get a black screen and I can't get an image to appear, and after trying a few different HDMI cords and different TVs/monitors I concluded something must be wrong with the HDMI port on the PS4. I took a look and low and behold, this: http://ift.tt/2zqIrzl
Sorry for poor quality but it was kind tough to get a picture with enough light to see, but as you can see, all the way on the left in the image (but actually the right IRL because it's upside-down in the pic) you can see what looks to me like an exposed pin, with some kind of plastic covering melted away.
My PS4 is out of warranty so I can't have it repaired by SONY, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of a fix for this I might be able to handle on my own? Just to reiterate, I've tried multiple HDMI cables and multiple TVs/monitors, so I'm fairly sure this is the problem (I also still get sound when I plug headphones into the controller, so there doesn't seem to be anything else wrong with the console besides the notorious loudness at this point in its life.)

I got my PS4 the year after it came out. Ever since, it's been overheating a lot when I play a game. However, recently it's gotten worse. I try to play fortnite and the fan is going all out. It's never glitched, or broken, or anything like that. It's just always really hot. Can someone give me some tips to stop my PS4 from overheating? Because the loud fan noise is really starting to scare and annoy me. I don't have money to get another one.

Yeah, I thought this never happened irl, or at least it’s not going to happen to me, right? Well, yesterday a technician from my isp was here, and he had to unplug my ps4, I was to anxious to ask him to wait until I got it out of rest mode and turned it off. Of course I lost all of my save files, which sucks, especially my D3 and fallout files. So much time and effort went into those. I learned my lesson, never unplug before turning off.

Is the Playstation 4 vulnerable to the WPA2 Krack Attack bug?
My neighbour uses my WPA2 protected guest Wifi to connect his Playstation 4 to the internet. While I already stopped using Wifi for the most part, it is not possible to have a cable from my flat to his flat.
Is there any information whether the Playstation 4 (non pro) is vulnerable to this securuty hole and if yes, when there will be an update. I would really hate to turn off my Wifi, but right now, i am really concerned about it.
Why is my Internet so bad
My internet has up to 75 Mbps for download speed and up to about 10 Mbps. My router is downstairs and my PS4 is up stairs and I usually get about 20-50 Mbps for my download speed and about 1-5 mbps for my upload. When I'm playing games my Nat type is strict and I'm lagging like crazy, why is this happening?

I remember about a year ago I heard that Sony was going to implement a save a game for later feature. Was I wrong in hearing this or is it still coming? When I browse the store sometimes I see a game that I might want later. But the store has so much crap I forget what it was later on.

Is it just me or is this game's performance on the PS4 Slim is really bad? its downright laggy in many areas and the fps can drop to 15 at many points. anyone have the same experience?

Its rated well enough, hasn't sold well, had massive competition in the fps genre, looks destined to go f2p in the future and isnt populated at all.
Seeing how Killing Floor 2 had a similar story/launch im thinking its a prime contender to go ps+ before they finally contemplate making it f2p as a last resort.
If I were CliffyB it be doing everything I can to get it on ps+ igc rather than f2p.

Thoughts on the Fury Collection?
So, oddly Darksiders 2 is discounted for 10 euros and at the same time the Fury Collection also costs 10 euros, which contains both games. I've been thinking about getting it.
What do you think of the games? Are they good or will they end up as backlog fillers? Is it a worthy remaster or does it still feel like a PS3 title? It's a very attractive price, two games for 10 euros. I'm not convinced whether to buy or skip it. I'll definetly get my money's worth but I'm not sure if I'll enjoy it.

I play videogames since I have memory, I had a lot of consoles and I was never "loyal" to a brand just because I liked the previous generation. I had a PSX, then a PS2 but I hated the PS3. The menus on the ps3 where horrible, the online felt empty, and overall the experience of playing a ps3 always felt weird for me, so I sold it, bought a 360 and loved it.
But after some time and specially when they announced Xbox One and PS4 I was extremely disapointed with the "next-gen". So for the first time I didn't get a console and focused on my high end pc and played everything there.
But yeah, I was missing many exclusives so I bought a PS4 to be able to play Horizon, Last of Us, Uncharted, etc... And I have to be honest, I wasn't expecting much other than the same experience I had in the past but with better looking games.
But I was wrong!
The ps4 has surprised me A LOT. First of all, the REST feature is the best feature it exists! Turn on the console and BAM! you are playing exactly were you were yesterday before going to bed! Love it!!!! In a instant you sit in your sofa and start playing. This is a game changer for me, as one of the things I hate the most are loading times... and yes, there are loading times when you boot the game and stuff but the rest mode saves you time when you only want to sit and play, and I adore it
Second, the controller... damn! I never like the dual shock design, but DS4 feels PERFECT, I think its the best controller out there, the new shape fits my hands perfectly like no controller ever did. And the analog controllers feel right where they should be. In previous dual shocks design I always thought they were too low and i had to open my hand too much.
Also the buttons response is perfect, specially the triggers.
Another thing I love about the PS4 are the menus, intuitive, simple, and clean. No ads blocking everything, easy to learn, etc. One thing I dont like is that it lacks costumization. I would LOVE to be able to link netflix to the main screen and stuff like that... sony plz.
And linking to that, netflix, spotify, amazon video, plex... even if you dont play games, having this machine conected to your main screen, is extremely useful

My PS4 downloads seems to always reset...
I've downloaded Hitman last last week, and when I download it, it's already in 18gb but when I turned it off and start it on again . It happened to me again with the Witcher 3 I'm already at 17gb but when I restart it resets to 13gb. What is wrong with my ps4? Hitman was the first game with this kind of problem to me, plus, the downloading is so awfully slow than it used to then, and I finished downloading Hitman because I didn't turn it off, I just let it download for a straight 20 hours. I don't want to do it again because it might take me 30 hours straight not turning my console off and might hurt my PS4... What do you think is happening? Please help me.
Sony, please give us more options to sort our trophies
On PS3 we get different options to sort our games. But no sort options for games on PS4, only trophies within games. The way games are sorted right now is by date earned.
More sort options would be great, especially when you have a lot of games on your trophy list.

What happens when you remove somebody from a PSN community?
Let's say I, the moderator of a community, were to remove membership or block membership from a community member. Do they get notified? Can they tell they have been removed? (Other than realizing they're no longer a part of the community).
For example, if you were to kick somebody out of a party, it gives them a notification that they had been removed purposefully. Does the same thing happen for communities?

So I had been told using an external hard drive I would have to transfer my games back to the main hard drive to play them. Is this not true anymore? It seems that the games I have transferred I can still boot up and play fine... any information would be appreciated. If this is legit then this is awesome I just added 3TB to my system. Console MMORPG [Discussion]
I was wondering what this sub’s take is on the possibility of a true MMORPG for consoles... was reminiscing with my friends about old RuneScape and Wow, missing that feeling of games having so much different content, quests, secrets, etc.
I know a few games have tried to do this, however I feel like the player base is too small (until cross-platform is allowed, or one console rules them all). Probably my favorite game ever was Fantasy Star Online Episodes 1&2. Playing Destiny reminds me so much of it. I hope that the mistakes the franchise is making will serve as future lessons to games attempting something like it. For instance a sequel is probably not the best idea. Pretty much every game is moving towards a more RPG driven system, even FPS. For fucks sake why haven't we even gotten a new Knights of the Old Republic.
I guess my question is why do you think we haven't seen a good mmorpg, and do you think it will/could happen?

Purchased DLC but can't download it?
I could use some help. I've just purchased some dlc from tales of beseria but after psn charged me it never downloaded. I went to the the dlc page again and all it says is "purchased" without the option to actually download it. After some Google searching people said to either go on to your phone and or computer and set the dlc to download from there but I've tried both and neither works, I pretty much get an infinite loading screen. So now I'm at a lost, I'm not sure if this is a known problem for everyone today or what but I kinda feel cheated out of my money.

I really wish I could enjoy The Evil Within but my character takes up half the screen.
I am trying to get into the first one but it is driving me nuts having my character take up half of the screen. 3rd person doesn't annoy me in other games but for some reason my character just seems massive. Is this the same in Evil Within 2? Or is there a way to make myself smaller.
Okami on ps4 preorder problem
So Capcom announced that Okami is coming out for ps4 as well as Xbox One and pc... over a month ago. I'm super excited about it! I've been nostalgic about that game for like 3 years so I've been waiting for the preorder on the ps store... but it's still not there. Over a month and it still isnt on there. PS4 stuck in safe mode Everytime i turn ps4 on it checks system storage status then goes to menu tells me cannot start ps4 connect controller and press ps button then it tells me i need update file version 5 and i put i USB with update file it tells me update file cannot be used error code CE-34788-0 but when i start PS4 in safe mode (7 seconds on power button) it installs the update but after restart safe mode again please help
What are some things that you want in an update for PS4?
I'd really love some sort of trophy tracking where it told me how many kills I have in a game. Sometimes the game tracks that for you, but sometimes it does not which means we might have to guess.

Diablo 3 RotN DLC or Game?
Im on the PSN Store and online searching for games under $20 that are worth it. Ive seen over and over, people recommend Diablo 3 (Ive never played any Blizzard games besides Overwatch) But when I search up "Diab" it doesnt let you enter anything more. The 2 that pop up are "Diablo III: Rise of the Necromancer" ($15) and "Diablo III: Eternal Collection" ($60) Is RotN the game or a DLC, and same with the other one?

I have played Forza Horizon 3 a couple of months ago and I really enjoyed it. I was wondering if Driveclub can keep up with it without diving into boringness. im finally getting around to playing the Order 1886. Gorgeous. I love the setting and the characters and voice acting. I thought it was gonna be really short. But it i've played it some yesterday and all day today and i think im only 3/4 of the way through?
I remember all the controversy over this game. Its the same style of game and seemingly no shorter than Until Dawn. No one complained about Until Dawn , or i don't remember any complaining about it.
But i really hate the mash the X button mechanic.. It's unnatural to press a button with your thumb that fast, and if you switch your hand position you might lose the tug of war. why do developers put this in? do they think we all play with a spoon in our laps? or have one of those 3rd party controllers with a turbo switch like in the NES days?

So I got interested to pick up Night Trap after watching a play through. I knew about the game before but didn't expect it to be this good. I went to the store to see the price in the UK as I could see this as a good game to play with my housemates during Halloween. However it wasn't there. After some googling I saw the European release being delayed due to translation things. They said the game would be delayed until mid September. It's now mid October and I'm wondering if anyone has any updates I couldn't find or if I have to make a US account for this game
Dualshock 4 Joystick Issue
A few days ago I was playing Crash with the joysticks and I noticed that sometimes, Crash suddenly stopped moving, and it was a bit frustating, so I started playing with the dpad. Now i'm playing Dark Souls and sometimes instead of running, my character walks... very slowly. Anyone know why this is happening or how to solve it?

I have to say I don't have many complaints about the image quality on my PS4. However it does kind of bother me that it could look better. I have a pretty big TV will it be a relatively night and day experience if I do get one?

My PS4 headset, when plugged into the PC, will only pick up audio from the "earmuff"/"over-the-ear" part of the headset. Anyone know why?
In other words, when I wear the headset as intended, sealed over my ears, people can barely hear me...but if I take them off and speak into the "earmuff" part, I'm crystal clear. This does not happen on the PS4..I can use them with the PS4 with no problem at all..

Looking for a puzzle/escape room type game and I can’t find anything that really catches my eye. New to ps4 any suggestions would help.
I’m completely new to using a PS4 and I want a game that can get me acquainted with how it works without fear of dying every turn I make. I don’t mind spooky or scary games, but I’d like a game with more of a puzzle aspect and not just a wandering around type game.
I have found a way to listen to my game audio, audio from my PC and chat with my friends using one simple setup (~$60)
I know I like to watch twitch streams, listen to music, etc. when gaming and have seen threads where people ask how to do so through one headset while being able to chat ingame or in parties. I used to use Turtle Beach PX22 headset that has a 3.5mm jack next to the USB cord where you can plug that in to your PC and get audio. Well mine were old and broke so I had to look for a new solution and have found one. Below are links to the two products that I bought to make it happen. The only thing that really bothers me about this setup is that when I talk I can't hear myself through the headset, so I don't know if I'm being too loud, but it's something I got used to very quickly.
Essentially the headphones that I bought come with a 3.5mm jack on one ear and a 6.3mm jack on the other side. The beauty of this is that both jacks can be plugged in at the same time and both work perfectly. So I take the VModa BoomPro headset and plug it into the 3.5mm side of the headphones and directly into the controller, and use the 6.3mm to 3.5mm adapter cable provided with the headphones to plug into the other side of the headphones and my computer. Viola. Sound from two different devices in the headphones at the same time. The sound quality on these headphones is decent, not the best by any means, but they are better than the PX22s I've been using the last few years. I'm sure there are better headphones out there that have two jacks on them, but for the budget conscious, a total of $60 for these two items is worth it in my opinion. You could also go with a cheaper microphone, I've seen some as low as $17 on Amazon. If you have any questions I'll answer to the best of my ability.

I pre-ordered ACO about a week ago and on the 19th I turned on the PS4 and found a message from PlayStation saying that the game was refunded to the default payment method, but the game was not refunded to anything and it just straight off disappeared... In my library I can only see the pre-order bonus (I got the deluxe edition) and now I await the game's release day to meet my fate ;-;

Everywhere on Sony's pages only show where to download the latest firmware 5.0. I tried to update to 5.0 and it basically bricked my machine so I'm trying to reinstall 4.55. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the old firmware?

TLOU Remastered Audio Issues
So I just got the Ps4 Pro a week ago after being a long PC gamer because I really wanted to try out the exclusives. The first game I picked out was obviously TLOU because of all the good things I've heard about it. So far I am in love with this game, but I am being plagued with this audio issue that I feel is game breaking. Every time an npc character speaks, their voice gets drowned out towards the end of their sentence. Like Ellie will say a sentence, but the last few words just echo out silently. It's thanks to the subtitles that I know what has been said. I feel like the dialogue between Joel and Ellie is very important plus I find it amusing sometimes. Anyone ever had this issue? The cinematic cutscenes don't have any issues at all.

My PS4 Pro has some issues so I got it replaced. When I set up the new one it prompted to transfer files between the two with an Ethernet cable. I couldn’t find one so I skipped that. I assumed all my save files would be stored through my PSN ID. Is that correct?

PS4 slow download speed
Hi all, I need some help about super slow download speed on my PS4. I followed this guide and I managed to get everything working (set up proxy from PC and connected the ps4 to it). The only problem is I haven't experienced any improvement! It's like before using the proxy. I already thought of a wi-fi problem so i tried downloading something with my laptop at the same distance (I literally put it over my ps4) and my ps4 was still slower than the laptop. I'm not a trophy/platinum collector personally but it's kinda satisfying to get the occassional trophy popup here and there. Why are there no trophies?
A quick google search shows that the game had PS3 trophies. Did Ubi say why there are none on the PS4 version?

Spmething weird happened
Something really weird just happened, i had 66gbs of free space in my ps4 and downloaded Fallout 4 on it, played it for a couple of hours and then deleted it, and now i only have 34gbs left in my ps4....Wtf where did that other 32gbs go to?? i can no longer download fallout 4 either. is there some sort shit that games install to your console that you cant actually delete?

I've just switched from Xbox to Playstation after having an Xbox since the original and it seems I've missed out of quite a few quality exclusive games, so I want to know what games are considered the "cult classics" of the Playstation community. Aside from the big games like Last of Us, Uncharted, Horizon, etc., what is your favorite Playstation exclusive (older games included)?
Is it necessary to clean dust out of PS4?
I've only had the PS4 a month and I haven't gotten around to cleaning the dust off of it. I've only played it a little bit so far. However, I was wondering if just cleaning the top and sides with a microfiber cloth once or twice a month is enough. I've read online about a lot of people opening up the PS4 (obviously voiding the warranty) and cleaning out the inside fan. Is that necessary for the console to run smoothly without lag or overheating? I would assume it would be built to withstand dust since they don't want you opening it.
Brought a brand new PS4 Slim... help.
Basically my old PS4 died with the whole not letring me remove a disc (R.I.P) So I had some money to Spare and brought another one with is the Slim. I've just got home, unboxed it and hooked it up to my TV but it's not displaying an image at all. Not in even in Safe mode.
Wonder if you guys know how to solve this?

Question about 3.5 headset vs. USB headsets for PS4
Recently switched from a USB turtle beach to a 3.5 connection turtle beach. Obviously the 3.5 has to run through the controller. This new headset doesn't have any bass at all. Everything sounds clean and clear, but gun fire sounds "canned".
My question is does running through the controller make the headset have a lack of bass? Does running it through USB solve this? I never had this type of trouble with my old USB headset. It's the turtle beach p50 headset.

Physical disc to digital download question
This may be a dumb question. Please have mercy if so. I’m relatively new to purchasing games digitally.
I redboxed Destiny 2 for a day or two just to see if I would like it. Obviously, the game is still installed on my system even though I returned the disc. I bought the game digitally from PSN today.
My only question is- do I need to redownload the entire game file from PSN when I get home, or does it do something in the background with licensing that will allow me to keep the existing files? I know I won’t lose progress, I just don’t want to come home from work and have to wait over an hour for it to download again.

Locking controller
Is there a way to lock the controller while keeping the power on? I like to use my headphones when I'm watching netflix or movies but the controls can be pretty touchy so if I shift on my bed it ends up fast forwarding or rewinding. Does anyone know a solution that doesn't involve me keeping my controller on the floor or on a shelf?

I haven't been this hyped in quite a while and as with The Witcher 3, the first thing I'll do when you as a player get free reigns in the open world, is to slowly ride around, just soaking up the atmosphere. Then stab. What about you? What are some of the things you look forward to the most and what are you hoping they've improved upon from previous titles in the series?
I'm hoping for less eavesdropping missions and a lot more crime solving / side mission content, to do outside the main story. Hopefully they'll be lots of old, dusty tombs to visit too. A deeper combat system, but one stab assassinations are too fun to go away, so I'm hoping they haven't completely overhauled the system.

Ok so I heard a lot of times that if your download speed for games and updates starts to get slow, just pause it and resume a couple seconds later to get a less crowded server and keep your download speed up.
I'm currently downloading Fortnite, and it came to a stop at about 50% and when I paused and resumed it, nothing happens, it's still stalled and no information is shown.
No download speed, no time left, no downloaded/total size indicator.
I tried pausing and resetting, turning the PS4 off, resetting the router and turning it back on and still nothing.
I have gigabyte internet at home so speed is really not the problem.
Any ideas?

Just a heads up for people out there looking to buy this game just for the single player. David Robillard, the lead gameplay developer said in an interview to IGN that it will take 5 to 7, maybe 8 hours depending on difficulty and skill level to complete the single player.
So it will probably take the average gamer around 6 hours only according to this information. Beware fellow gamers, this might not be the best game to buy just for SP alone!

Gran Turismo online questions
Has anybody who has bought the game figured out how to race with other cars during the daily race A other then the Honda civics everyone has? And why are races A-C the same everyday? Same tracks etc. does this never change?
The other cup series are scheduled in November and have certain days and times you must be available. Which makes it hard to always be available for a race.

Me and my friends have been having fun with Paladins recently, and I'd like to recommend it to people who are uninformed
I tried the game in the Open Beta and really didn't like it, but I re-downloaded it a few days ago and its been heavily improved.
Basically, Paladins is a Free to Play Hero Shooter. If you've seen or played Overwatch, this is pretty similar. But before you call it a rip-off, please be aware of these differences between Paladins and Overwatch:

In Paladins, you can buy items in your base after you die. This is probably the biggest difference to Overwatch, because you can choose how to build your Hero.

In Paladins, you select a Hero at the beginning of each round, and you can't change Hero during that round.

PS4 Pro fans loud, sound like a jet engine. Should I be worried?
I’ve had this since launch and it’s never done this before. It sounds very loud, like a jet engine. Every once in a while I open it and clean it with that air in a can stuff and never had an issue. But it’s just crazy loud now and I’m not sure why.

New to PlayStation & PS4 - Need Suggestions

To make this short and quick, I'm a Xbox/PC/Nintendo person, I know basically nothing of Sony/PlayStation when it comes to the consoles. My long term lady friend use to play Crash Bandicoot way back in the day on PS1 and has gotten herself a PS4 for the remastered/new one. I've got her birthday and Christmas coming up. What are some must haves for peripherals and good Co-Op games? She's a COD person so she's already acquired the Infinite Warfare bundle (yay MWR) and we have most of the others already on Xbox. On the other consoles we've enjoyed mainly platformers. Are there are any good ones for PS4? Also, with Xbox the 12 month subscription usually goes on a pretty good sale during BlackFriday, is it the same for the PS4 version? She's not much of a single player campaign/open world style person although she did enjoy the Tomb Raider that came out a few years ago so I'm thinking of picking the newest one up for her. Any other exclusives that play somewhat similar (I've never played it)?
Bit of a side question, is the online splitscreen for MWR good or is it bad like BO3?

How to understand what region you have to buy DLCs from? I have a game which is CUSA01441 (Witcher 3) but I'm not sure what region it is as it has English and Arabic language, I know like you can't buy DLCs from any region because you must have the same region of the game or else it won't work.

Looking to pick one of these up. I generally like RPGs like World of FF, FF XV, Nier Automata and I'm just finishing up The Last of US Remastered. Never owned a PS3 and just getting back into gaming. Also I have a disability and fine motor function is a bit impaired, so on The Last of Us I am playing on Easy and enjoying the great story. Auto aim helps a lot, I am horrible at the coordination of aiming. Would that impact either of these games?

PS4 HDMI port not working
I was playing normally for a few hours, decided to turn it off and head to sleep. Following day I try to play, and all of the sudden. My t.v. says "no input source" The screen was black while the ps4 was on My hdmi is fine, it works on other sources And I went to a different tv and tested it out on two other HDMI's, yet it still didn't work I was reading online how the earlier models were defective. What do you guys recommend I do? Send it for repair or buy a new model ?

Anyone else experiencing input delay on the ps4?
Input delay, where do I start.. I’ve had this problem probably since I bought the PS4, 3 years ago. But I never noticed it because I was an ignorant kid aged 11. However, fast forward to now, and its really fucking annoying. I cant play any FPS because sony fucked up. I basically payed 400 euros for a defect device. Is it fixable? Also, it happens somedays. Sometimes I have input delay and sometimes I don’t. For some reason I cant fix it. I have to wait for the next day, turn my ps on and hope i dont have it. Also, for some reason turning my ps4 or controller on and off on the day i have input delay doesnt work at all. Anyway, is it fixable?
Edit: Whenever I have this, its on my whole ps4, not just multiplayer.
My brand new gamepad is affected by bluetooth interference If i'm more than 3 meters away from ps4.
I made sure that all bluetooth are switched off but still if I want to sit on my bed and use controller from time to time my movement while playing games is affected for a few seconds, like the analogs are moving on their own in one way. It happens to brand new controller and a older one too.

[HELP] I think my PS4 just died on me.

Said some horrible things to people via online chat: friend who owns the PS4 got banned and lost games.
This is kind of an odd convoluted story but I'd like to give all relevant details so that I can get some help with figuring this out.
About a year ago, I made a PSN account on the Playstation 4 me and my college housemates shared. I'm usually an Xbox gamer, but since I made the PSN account I've signed in on various different PS4s that I've played on with different people. Lets call my account "account A".
This year, I moved into a new house with some different students at my school. One of them has their own PS4 that they brought. I signed into my PSN account on his PS4 and have been playing some rocket league for the past few weeks. I haven't bought rocket league on my own PSN account, but since my friend had it on his PS4 and had the license I guess, I was able to play on my account when it was signed in on his PS4 (I really don't know how this stuff works). Lets call his account "account B".
Last week I got pretty heated and said some horrible shit to my teammate (to be fair, he started it, but I guess that doesn't really count as an excuse). Regardless of what I said and what my motivations were, Sony's response seems to be crazy. Today, my friend tried to sign into his PSN account, and it said he was banned. So, "account A" which is my account and actually was the account that said the horrible things is not banned, but "account B", the account that purchased the game license has been banned. What's worse, he lost all of the licenses for his other games ($300+).
I should note that when another friend came over earlier today and signed into his "account C" to play rocket league, everything worked just fine.
How can I get my friend ("account B") his games back? I mean, it seems like almost an error on Sony's part if they're banning based on game licenses and not users. It just doesn't make sense. Regardless of how I should be punished (I've spent $50 on in game rocket league purchases, so I think banning my account itself would be fair punishment enough), its not right for someone thats so loosely involved to suffer.

So guys it first happened a couple of days ago when i'd been playing for 2 hours. Since then it has happened 3, 4 times. Basically it just turns off but when i turn it on again it starts without any problem. Any idea what might be the reason. Any help's appreciated.
Considering switching from Xbox One to PS4

I wonder if any of you can give me some input on this.
I am a long time Xbox gamer and considering picking up a PS4 Pro instead of the Xbox One X that is releasing next month.
Basically, over time the sluggish interface of the Xbox One kind of puts me off from turning it on at all and some PS4 exclusives recently caught my eye - HZD and Crash Bandicoot, for example. However, since I have no friends on PS4 and no achievements, etc. it also feels kind of like starting over...
Any other Xbox users that have switched to PS4 this gen and can share some of their experiences? Was a good or bad decision? What do they like better or worse? Or just any general opinions from people who own both would be highly appreciated.

The Evil Within 2 is pretty great.
Incredibly trippy atmosphere with environments constantly shifting around you, Twin Peaks/Silent Hill kinda vibe, gameplay I've heard compared to that of old RE games (never played them personally so couldn't say), great freaky villains (first one in particular is amazing), pretty good experience overall especially for a game I didn't really expect anything of or even cared about a week ago.
Be prepared though, it's a direct sequel. I actually bought it assuming it wasn't because I watched half an hour of a Let's Play and it started off with a very standaloney vibe. Also the fact that the main character is named "Sebastian Castellanos" somehow made me immediately assume he was a one-off.
The game also has some definite flaws but nothing too bad imo. Aiming well is half the difficulty and the melee combat has all the grace of Silent Hill 2. The story and main cast are also pretty average, it's really exploring the world itself that is really fun.

NP-34993-8 error after trying to restore my license help?
I need some help with the NP-34993-8 error im getting.
I got the life is strange ep2 from the psn store yesterday and for some reason it would not start to download. I tired to restore my license thinking that mite fix the problem but now instead my ps4 gives me the NP-34993-8 error and now its only showing 3 games in purchased when i had over 300.
Everything shows up on the psn website fine and i can tell it to download games from there but when I do they show up as unknown file in the downloads. also im not game sharing as most things I have seen online says causes this problem.
has anyone had this problem and is there anyway to fix it without re downloading everything as Australia internet sucks.

I bought it at release but for some reason I can't find it in the store or in my library to download. The only version I can find is the zombies chronicles package which I still have to purchase for 60 dollars despite owning both bo3 and zombies chronicles.

I want to replay RDR so I'm wondering if anybody knows how reliable PS Now is (on PC or PS4 - I'd prefer using my PC)? My wireless connection goes at about 40 mbps down.

USB Extension Cable for Wired Mode?
Hey guys, quick question for anyone who may have any experience:
I'm going to be using my PS4 in a different setup this weekend and it'll be hooked up far enough away that the Bluetooth won't work properly. We've done this before and the input lag, dropped connections, and missed button presses make it impossible to play anything.
So, my buddies and I were thinking about using a USB extension cable to run from the PS4 into the room with the TV- it'll need to be long as hell for it to work. I know that there's a wired mode setting that you can turn on that makes the controller transfer data over the micro USB cable.
Now, my question is this: will using a USB extension cable somehow break the data connection and cause issues with the controller? Alternatively, is there any way to extend the range of my controller's Bluetooth so it'll continue to work wirelessly? I'm really just looking for anything to make this work, and it seems like an extension cable is my best bet. Anyone have any experience or knowledge about this? Thanks so much for the help!

What Remains of Edith Finch is incredible
It's currently on sale on PSN EU, and the game is really great. Beautiful narrative, really, really good art style - especially indoor with very convincing voice acting. Probably the best "one sitting game" I've played since Journey.
My only complain is that the performance could have been better - it's "OK" on PS4 Pro, but not that great. But don't let that hold you back.
What is a good first game for my kid to remember forever?
Some of the first games I remember playing as a kid were Mario and Zelda. My kids are now getting old enough to play something more interesting than iPad games, but what to have them play is kind of a big decision because they're probably going to remember it nostalgically forever.
What are some good options on PS4?
We played some Ratchet and Clank but honestly the two sticks (camera and movement) is a little much for them to control simultaneously right now. They've been playing some top-down in that free Marvel Heroes Omega game and doing really well with that though, just push a direction and buttons. They're using abilities well and understand all that, it's just the double joystick coordination that was too hard in some games.

Astro Mixamp Pro TR headset/headphone support
Hi guys, I want to upgrade my audio setup for PS4 and PC. I'm very interested in a Mixamp Pro TR, I tried it, and seems a great product to use with both platform. I want to combine it with a good headphone+mic/headset, but the ones I'm interest in have 60ohms impedance or more. So yesterday I sent an e-mail to Astro's support where I asked if and how Mixamp Pro TR works with 60+ohms headset and if it had some issues with volume and audio quality. Thanks for your email, the A40's impedance is 48 ohms. You could use a 60 ohms headset however we could not guarantee how well it would function if at all. If it is operational there would be volume issues if not also audio issues.
I know that a lot of people use hyperx cloud II (60ohms) or GameZero(150ohms) without problems. Is there someone that use the mixamp with a 60+ headset/headphone?
STILL cannot connect to PSN
its been what almost a month now? after 5.0 my ps4 will not connect to PSN. no internet problems, every other device in the house is fine. downloaded the app and accepted the conditions there. today i went on and a whole bunch of apps had updated in rest so i figured it had blown over. nope. accepted the email from Oct 4th. nope. I'm stumped. anyone else still having issues?
Are there any games coming out that are like Destiny but not so "fantasy?"
I like how deep the game is, and how much there is to do, but I can't stand all of the over the top aliens and magic in it. Does anyone know of any games coming out that may be similar but without those elements? I like Sci-Fi still.

Who else is picking up Hidden Agenda for Halloween?
Hidden Agenda was created by the team that made Until Dawn. I've been keeping an eye on it since I saw it at Sony's E3 pre-show. Looks super interesting, especially (and maybe moreso) because of the multiplayer party aspect of it. I love the Jackbox games and played a few rounds of "That's You!" (which use the same app device controller that Hidden Agenda will), so I'll definitely be checking it out.
Maybe this game wasn't even on your radar. Definitely looks like it will be worth a look. The PlayStation store says it will be releasing next Tuesday and will cost $20 USD.
