Anyone else experience this in the past? I can access everything just fine and even use Netflix, but the second I launch a game, bam, no connection to PSN. No game servers, no PSN Store, nothing. This might not be the right place, but any help is appreciated.

There should be a sound when the Ps4 are doing charging?
Your thoughts about it. I know it's a gimmick but there is a lot of times when I wished I knew when its done. Instead of pressing the home button. I know I will get a lot of counter arguments about it. I just think this should be an optional thing under setting. Even when in rest mode it could be nice to know. There are speakers on the controller after all. ☺️ Sony please. Take care you all 😎😎😎

HyperX Cloud - no adapter
I use a HyperX Cloud headset for my PC. It didn't come with the flat rectangular adapter that I see in videos to combine my headphone/mic cables into one cable and be plugged into my Dualshock. Is there another way to connect it? Is there somewhere I can order a replacement? The only site I found was Kingston but it won't let me select a country to ship it to (I'm in Canada). Googling finds a frustrating lack of information about this.

I just downloaded Injustice: Gods Among Us for free?
I went to check how much it was on the store and saw a "Download" button but no buy option, I clicked it and now I have the full game downloaded in my library.
It has "Remaining time" when i go into its information so its obviously acting as a PS+ game, and I know it was free way back in 2014 for PS+, but I didn't have a Playtsation back then.
I'm not sure if its a glitch or what, anyone have any idea?

I have since bought a new one and been playing games fine but it breaks my heart to see P.T in my library but unable to download. It was my go to one quiet nights or whenever friends visit. Game share question
So since 60 dollars is a hell of a lot for a game, me and my bud just got a ps4 and decided we're gonna share some games, and i gave her 30 and he got overwatch online. now i understand how the game share works, i have to make her primary on my ps4 to play on my account but she needs his ps4 to stay primary because her brother plays on another account and she shares ps plus with that.
I really want to play overwatch, cant afford paying 60 to get it myself and i really want to play w my friend, is there any way i can game share without making her primary??

PlayStation platinum headset on pc?
I am trying to use the PlayStation platinum headset on windows 10 on pc. I want to use it with the provided 3.5mm audio cable (not using the wireless USB dongle). My computer recognizes the headset to output audio, but it does not recognize the built in microphone. Does anybody have any idea why this might be? Has anyone experienced this? If I plug the headset into my phone the microphone works, so I know there isn't any hardware broken.

I am trying to find a way to hear both my ps4 party and my pc audio (without dropping mad cash on an ASTRO headset) mostly due to me playing both at once on occassion. I'll talk to friends on ps4 and play battlegrounds on pc for instance. What could I buy to make this possible if it at all is?

Local Co-op Thats Easy
Im trying to find a game to play with my wife but so far I havent done a good job. She loves games where you can just grind to get her characters stronger so she can faceroll through things. A perfect example being overleveling in pokemon or the thoughtless early leveling in fire emblem heroes.
The big kicker is that it has to be easy. She gets really discouraged if she feels like its a competition that shes losing, like she isnt contributing or if she dies too much. Any suggestions and explanations would be greatly appreciated.

What are some FPS games without headbob?
I have major motion sickness issues, but I love shooter games. The problem is most are in first person and have headbob. Yes, I have most if not all the third person ones (uncharted, battlefront, etc), but I want to play FPS games. I'm assuming it's the headbob that makes me nauseous, as I played the Destiny 2 beta with no issues. I also can play Borderlands without troubles. Any suggestions?

Be Careful when purchasing second hand
So recently my PS4 decided to crap out. It was the first thing I bought for myself after being in the hospital due trying to commit suicide. I used to have one and I just wanted to get another so I can play all of my digital games. People that know me knows that I always look in the good of people and this is where the story really starts. So I had some money saved up over the last six months and I saw a post on my local FB market place. A guy was selling his ps4 with no controller for $100. Not thinking anything about it I took the guy up on it. After meeting him in town I took it home. When I plugged it up I received the white light. I tried looking up troubleshooting and nothing I did seemed to work. So I messaged the guy to let him know that what he sold me did not work. At this point I was in full panic mode. Not a good thing for me to be in if anybody else who has the same health issues as me knows. The guy did not return a message and proceeded to leave the conversation and block me on FB. I was able to contact admins on the market place and provided screenshots I took prior to him blocking me as well as the conversations. At this point the guy is on a watch list and I'm out $100. I know I should have used my better judgement, but again I tend to trust people really easily and this time I got screwed over. So if any of you decide to buy from facebook or any other local sales site tread lightly.
A warning to anyone who is selling their PS4/ other high value items on Ebay
So a little while ago I decided to sell my original PS4 since I had bought the PS4 Pro. I put my 1TB PS4 on Ebay for £200, pick up in person only. The person who bought the item used PayPal to pay for the PS4 (You may see where this is going). The buyer paid for the item and picked up the PS4. A little while later I get a message from PayPal telling me that the payment had been withdrawn and started to panic, with PayPal being seen as a trusted and safe method of payment I have always used on Ebay, I didn't think twice about paypal payment for the item. It was then that I found out about the " pay with PayPal, pick up in person " scam as because there is no proof that the item was shipped to the buyer, the buyer was able to withdraw the money, and steal my PS4. I am mostly angry at Ebay for allowing this scam that has been used for years and is known about to still happen, as many people have had things worth thousands stolen because of this flaw that could easily be fixed. I have looked online about people who have had their PS4s stolen and I have read that Sony is able to trace where the console is using the MAC address of the console as long as they have connected online. This has been given to the police to obtain a warrant to retrieve the stolen console, and people have successfully got their PS4s back by doing this, so I am thinking about trying this.
TLDR: Don't use Paypal for items that the buyer has to collect in person.

Today I have gotten 4 messages from different PSN usernames. The most recent one was very sexually explicit (I don't wanna post it because I don't really know if that's breaking one of the rules?) anyway they always start out the same. Simple message "hey what are you doing?". I haven't replied to any except the most recent one and I simply said "do I know you?" And the person replied back saying "I found your PSN name using this app and just want friends. I'm 22 and female. What are you doing?" And I just ignored it. Eventually they sent me a link (you know. One of those ones that are like "come watch me on cam"). Is this spreading to PS4 now? If so, Sony you need to do something about this. They could be targeting young kids to come watch sexy cam shows and possibly even scam them out of money or infect their PS4 with a virus if they follow the link. Anyone else have this happen to them?

Found solution for DS4 L3 button issue on Reddit but I'm not sure if it works...
So as many other people online, my DS4 has problems with the L3 button, making it specially frustrating on games which require you to press L3 to sprint, someone pointed a while ago how to solve it (http://ift.tt/1QlTJs3). I'm inclined to see if this works but it'll be my first time opening a DS4, so I want to be completely sure this will help me get rid of the problem rather than just being an urban myth or a short-term solution. If you have tried it yourself or know of someone please let me know, I want to make the wisest decision.
DC Universe Online is one of my favorite games, but.......
It's an enormous file size. It's freaking gargantuan. So much space taken up that I had to remove it, which made me a very sad PS4 user. I heard there's a cloud storage option for PS4 game/save data, but have no idea how to make it do its' thing. Anyone got any knowledge on this?

For those of you who play Yonder and are having trouble find cats, here are some tips received from Kari on how to find cats:
Snowy Milks hibernate for most of the year and only come out in the Winter.
Purple Rexes do not like Winter and can be spotted any other time of the year.
There's a cat near Goldlake that only appears in Summer when the sun is rising or setting.
Spotty Browns are in The Grasslands all the time.

Controller disconnects every time I start up my PS4
I've had this issue for a while and can't find anything online about it.
When I boot up my PS4 and connect my controller, the controller connects for around 10 seconds, the light still shows an active connection but no buttons work then it turns off and won't turn back on. I then have to turn my PS4 off at the wall socket, turn it back on and reconnect the controller and it stays connected.
I've tried two different controllers and it happens with both. It doesn't matter if I'm connected via a wire or wirelessly it happens either way.
For reference, my PS4 is probably 2 and 1/2 years old. Any ideas please shout!
If I want to format an external hard drive for storage, will it delete memory I already have stored on there?

MKV compatibility
I have multiple MKV files that are not compatible with the media player. I'm just wondering if there is a certain codec that I can add to the files to make them compatible, and how I can go about doing so?

So, i dont know what happened but that 20th anniversary theme they put out in 2014 disappeared off my ps4. And I cant find it in the store now. Is it gone? how do I go about getting that sweet sound back for my bootup. I miss my ps1 sound.
Safe Mode Death Loop
Hi all,
I've had my ps4 for about a year and a half now. This morning I experienced the dreaded safe mode death loop (SMDL) for the first time. Which was entirely my fault; quickly unplugging the surge protector it was connected to from the wall to while re-arranging bedroom.
After watching various youtube videos & reading reddit posts, I decided to take the risk of option 4 (restore default settings). I emphasize "risk" because some people said this wiped their hard drive/had to re-download all of their games & data. Well, from what I read the only other option was to "initialize ps4" (option 6 from safe mode) which would guarantee that I would have to re-download everything. So I took the former.
Option 4 worked for me. I just had to set-up my ps4 again with the basic time zone & language settings. Then I had to sign back into psn but all of my games were still there. I also had to re apply my background theme but everything was back to normal. It was very nerve wracking because I had no idea what was going to happen. But I am happy to say that after maybe 10-15 minuets everything was back to normal.
I Hope this helps someone out in the future, as this was my experience. However, like I had mentioned, from what I read on youtube comments this option 4 caused some people to lose their data. I can say first hand I did not have to re-download anything.
[Question] About Season Pass costs
I am very interested in buying some DLC for Dead or Alive 5LR but I have a question. If I purchase a costume catalog that is part of the season pass, would it return the cost of the season pass down the road since I already own part of the content?
A word of advice/warning if you haven't played the The Last Guardian and plan to.
I just finished the game. It was beautiful and emotional and I lived the concept. But good God the controls are terrible. I'm not even talking about Trico. He's fine. He acts as an animal should but there was no excuse for the controls of the boy being so bad.
The the advice is this. Do NOT play this right after playing Horizon Zero Dawn and/or Breath of the Wild or you will hate this game. That was my mistake. Those were the last 2 games I played their controls are amazing. Especially the climbing in BoTW compared to this game.
I feel like I would have loved this game more if not coming off both of those amazing works.
PS4 is using my bandwidth to serve it's games
So I'm downloading the Destiny 2 beta, which is downloading way slower than it should, so I tried running a proxy on my PC, which I just got 22Mbps at speedtest.net. When I connect the PS4 to it, I got a test on the PS4 at about 7 Mbps, which is what it got connecting without the proxy. That sucks and all, but that's not the issue.
I was monitoring my networking with Task Manager, and I noticed that I've got both my download AND upload speed pegged at over that 7Mbps continuously. I don't have anything on the PC actively using that, so I tried turning the proxy off and back on again, and usage on both dropped to near zero.
This leads me to believe that PSN is using my bandwidth to serve what I'm downloading to others downloading it, which eats up my usage from my ISP. That's some BS, this is 11GB, that'll make it 22GB. What if I was using my cell phone plan with 30GB a month, and I just calculated the 11GB I was downloading into it, and now have half that left?
Is that what's happening? Is PSN using us as torrent seeders?

Reversing the X and O buttons for select/cancel?
Okay kind of a weird specific thing. In Japan, circle is select and X in cancel. I live in SEA and I buy most of my games digitally via a US-based PSN account, so I've gotten incredibly used to X as select and circle as cancel in games like Destiny. I recently bought Destiny 2 from my local SEA region store, and apparently as an Asian country or something all the controls in the game are now reversed from what I'm used to, into circle as select, and X as cancel. This isn't the end of the world and is something I'll probably eventually get used to, but it is incredibly goddamn aggravating that this control scheme changes according to region and I don't seem to have any control over that. Is there a way for me to change it, somehow?
It's especially jarring when throughout the PS4 main UI interface, X is select and circle is cancel even from my main SEA account.

Why are there no pacific rim style games
With giant mechs fighting giant monsters? I know its mainly an anime concept but i prefered the western styling of pacific rim, though it was still influenced by anime it had a lot of the west in it. Youd think it would make a perfect game

Using Bose Soundsport Earphones with Ps4
I can't seem to get them to work with each other. I have to press the middle button between the + and - on the wire for the earphones but it only allows me to speak for 1 second even if I hold it.
I'm having an issue with my controller not charging
It first started with my controller having trouble charging. I had to put my controller in a certain position so it could charge. 3 days later my controller won't charge at all. I noticed that the day it couldn't charge I was having trouble plugging the charger into my controller. I also tried using a different charger and that didn't help. And the last thing I did was plug it into another USB port which didn't help at all.
Anyone know what the problem might be and if there's any fix to it?
Playstation, why after all these years you still can't mute your mic if you use earphones on the controller?
I bought ps4 a few weeks back and coming from and xbox background it was almost shocking that you can't mute your mic when using earphones. You have to create a seperate party group if you don't want anyone to hear you.
And worst thing is if you forget to create that party ( which has happened almost every day for me while playing Destiny 2 beta ) and everyone in the game lobby hears everything in the room.

I have really shitty internet but on LAN I'm getting 445 Kbps, where as over wifi I'm getting 1.6 Mbps?! Maybe my wire sucks or something idk what's could the problem be ?
Stacking on top of PS4 Slim?
So my PS4 slim has just arrived (first PlayStation since PS2!) and it looks like there is no ventilation on top. Does this mean it is safe to stack something else (Xbox One Slim) on top? I would never have both consoles turned on at once but I don't want to risk over heating wither console.

I cant sign into my account on the official website or the app im usually always signed in on. My playstation was stolen and i need to deacticate my account. Please help!
So as i said in the title, my playstation was stolen and i desperately need to somehow deactivate my account until i have a new playstation (that wont happen for a while -_-) so whoever stole my system cannot just start buying games or whatever else with my card information. I've been having the shittiest year ever and it just keeps getting worse. I love games, they help me escape my bullshit reality, but i will survive without a system.. however if someone spends stuff on my card it could be really disastrous with all the bills i have due.
Enough of my rant -- does anyone know how i can deactivate my account without access to the system? Ive tried signing in on the website and it just says the page cant be accessed/failed to load/ whatever.. and if i try and use the app that i should have been still signed in to, im not signed in anymore and if i try to "Continue as Your Name" it says it cant access either the mobile network, PSN are down or my mobile service provider is having network issues. I am having 0 problems with my internet on my phone. I dont know what to do, please help. Someone :(

Shadow of Mordor:
I purchased the GOTY edition during a recent PSN sale. the game is great, but theres 1 thing that really annoys me about the game: No Target Lock On. I find it extremely odd that games 20 years ago had this feature and somehow Shadow of Mordor is missing it. I feel that combat can often feel way to sloppy when you can't lock on and target 1 enemy. I'm looking forward to the sequel, but i hope they add this feature.
Issue with 20th Anniversary Controller (Input)
When i push the left analog stick up, my character moves as if i'm also pushing the right analog stick (usually for camera control) to the left. This is very frustrating especially for Shooter. Any help will be much appreciated.

Why the excess of technical support threads?
I know it's been said that this sub is helpful and timely with responses, unlike the Sony forums or customer support. But some of the posts I see on here are really simple solutions that could be found within seconds of searching. I really enjoy this sub, but I find myself visiting less and less when it gets this diluted. Obviously exceptions exist, but I don't need to see a new thread every time someone thinks their controller is broken.
Dolby Atmos playback on PS4
So I have been fighting with my Ps4 pro for the whole day now. My setup is such: - Onkyo nr-646 receiver, capable of decoding Dolby Atmos - Plex installed on synology dsplay416, dlna enabled - file with TrueHD encoded 7.1 Atmos track
All I want is for the PS4 to passthrough/bitstream the audio track to my receiver and let it do its job. It is annoying me to no end that I cannot achieve this.
I have tried playing the file with Plex and Media Center apps and neither can handle the task. Plex always wants to transcode the stream to something else, and Media Center playback stutters because it has trouble decoding it. I have tried setting the PS4 audio output from LPCM to Dolby Bitstream but the media players don't catch on to it. Why can't they just take the audio stream and pass it onto the receiver where it can be properly decoded?
Also, how do you play movies with TrueHD/Atmos tracks over a media server? I am without ideas now.

Hi So my question has two parts and some intro: I live in an EU country that doesn't have a PSN support (2017 AND STILL NO SUPPORT, THX SONY), so I can't use my Paypal or my banks cards to add funds to my PSN wallet, so I usually did buy a prepaid digital code from Kinguin, G2A or something and added funds to my wallet (not to mention it's a chore but I usually overpay around 1 euro for every 10 euros), but for the last few weeks I see less and prepaid cards for UK and US PSN.
So questions: Has anything changed with prepaid cards? Some lock to forbid them to be resold?
How do people from other countries, that Sony doesn't deem worthy, buy games in PSN?
It's time for a HD re-release of Chrono Cross !
Seeing the success of recent remakes/hd re-releases such as Final Fantasy 12 and Crash Collection, I would love to have Chrono Cross in my PS4. The magic system, simple battles, marvellous soundtrack, gigantic roster of characters and the time travelling made my teenage me really happy ! Bundle it with Chrono Trigger in a steelbook edition with some art and there you have a top seller.
Open world driving game?
I just got interested in driving games when I stole good cars in GTA and customized them. The thing is it was at my friends house and I don't enjoy the criminal aspect of it. I want something similar to driving nice cars and customizing them. Forza looks perfect but I only own a PS4. First and foremost, I'm not sure if this belongs here or another sub, and I apologize if this doesn't belong here. I am confused on what's going on and where to go from here.
So.. last month I bought Overwatch digitally over PS Store. Two weeks later I noticed that I was charged twice for the transaction so I went ahead and disputed one of the charges. The dispute took about two weeks and I was refunded. That occurred yesterday. Coincidentally, I am unable to log in to my PSN account from anywhere (PS4, PC, PS4 APP). Every time I try to log in, it boots me out and tells me to contact customer support. Every time I try to change my password, it gives me an error as it can't be executed and to contact customer service. I've tried multiple times yesterday doing that process with no success. I've tried calling customer service but every time it tells me to go to the chat and they give me the URL to get there. Yesterday I sat over 6 hours waiting for someone and confirming that I'm not a robot and got nobody so I gave up.
I called today and surprise, they're closed and they inform me to go to the chat between x and y hours. I am currently in the chat waiting for somebody now, but I am still confused onto why I am unable to access my account. What do I do? Is my account locked or banned? If so, why? and why didn't I receive an e-mail regarding the issue?

Someone on my friend list added me and like 30 people to a huge convo and then he and another user started talking about how he wasnt getting any sleep because he was up all night trading in cryptocurrency and stuff. Clearly its a scam and loads of people have left but before I leave the convo I want to check if I can or should report him.

What's the best realistic racing game?
Hey guys, I need some help. I am looking for a realistic racing game on PS4. Back in the day me and my brother would play one where there were a bunch of different race classes and you would earn and buy different cars and then could upgrade them with different kits and stuff. I think it was Gran Turismo 5 maybe?
Is there anything like this on PS4? I basically want to build up my garage with different cars and run different classes of races but also want to be able to upgrade my cars by adding things to the engine, breaks, etc.

When my younger brother got a PS4 a couple years ago, we set up his account as a subaccount under mine. (His 18th is coming up next month so he'll be able to upgrade soon)
Yesterday, one of my friends wanted to buy him a game online, so our plan was that I would add the funds through my account, then buy the game from his. I got distracted talking to him while doing this and wound up buying the game on my account on his console.(so friend basically paid for the game for me, thanks buddy!) I tried to get on my brother's account to buy if for him, but it said it was already purchased. I'm confused about what's going on, and I guess I don't understand how purchases work through subaccounts. Advice would be appreciated.
Also, another question arose from this, what happens to purchases such as this when he upgrades from a subaccount?

Broken hdmi caused PS4 to not work
Hello! Last night I broke my hdmi cord that goes from the PS4 to my tv. It was snapped off when my tv dropped, nothing hit the ls4 and the hdmi cord is about 15 feet so I'm almost positive the cord wasn't yanked.
Went to Walmart to buy a new hdmi and got home when I hooked everything up my tv says no single and then tells me the resolution is not supported. I tried to boot into safe mode and even that won't show up. I get the two beeps but still nothing.
I'm using a different tv and tried 2 hdmi cords called Sony support and they did nothing for me lol was wondering if anyone had any ideas thanks

Video recording glitch
So I've been recording a lot of gameplay lately and I noticed something. It seems like the video likes to glitch and skip tiny little bits of footage. I know that it skips when a notification pops up, but there are times that there was no notification and it still skips. Does anyone know how to fix this?
They need to fix the download options
Before people say the typical garbage of just download it and stop complaining. I have very slow internet in a shared house with a small data cap.
I have everything turned off..yet when I launch a game it tries to download the patch straight away, I cancle it. But the moment the game tries to use a network feature it will try to download it again...
This wouldn't be so bad if I could pause it and it STAYED paused, no. If it is in rest mode and i want to download something overnight (i can get 3-4gb downloaded overnight) it will automatically resume even though I manually paused it.
It's a joke.
I can't even download a couple of games slowly over time because of this either. They constantly resume and blow the data cap in my share house. Super frustrating.

BenQ XL2730Z with PS4
I'm going to buy a ps4 to play the console exclusives and want to connect it to my BenQ XL2730Z. But PS4 only goes up to 1080p while the screen is 1440p. Normally when I want to play on my PC in 1080p I can go into Nvidia control panel and change the screen but I don't know if I can change my screen resolution on PS4. Any ideas?

Media Player doesn't see my .mkv files
I legally own a bunch of episodes of tv shows and keep them on my external HDD and my PS4 is not seeing them when I plug it in. It says that there's nothing on the disk when it's connected. I've tried puttting them in a folder called VIDEOS and PS4
Safe Mode Loop occurring, in need of a fix.
So I moved my PS4 into a different room today, and I let it sit for a couple of hours because I was too lazy to plug it in. I just plugged it in to find the message " a serious error has occurred." When I restarted it it booted into safe mode. I'm currently letting it sit without any cables trying to avoid a factory reset. Anyone know a fix?

So recently my family decided to bring my ps4 to the livingroom, they have a very bad habit of not charging the controller. They use it to watch Netflix and they constantly turned it on after it died multiple times, and now it won't hold a charge and dies immediately after I unplug it. Cannot read disc / damaged disc problem.

I bought a pre-owned copy of gta v on ps4 but everytime i try to install it, a blue screen comes up with "This disc cannot be read. Make sure that the disc is not damaged or dirty.". The thing the disc isn't damaged or anything, so I took it to my local ebgames to change it and even the new one comes up with the same thing. Anyone know what I can do to fix the issue. I have already rebuilt the database, reset the PS4, updated the PS4 and deleted and downloaded the game again.

Tomb Raider didn't do enough to separate itself from feeling like you're playing a bland Uncharted
I've been a Tomb Raider fan since somewhere in mid-playstation era where Tomb Raider 2 was one of the coolest games you could get your hands on. The sounds, the looks, the traversing, it was just a fun yet hard to control romp.
Uncharted felt like a nice passing of the torch. You're doing the same stuff where the controls are just much easier and instead of levers - you're getting explosions to open new paths.
However, these Tomb Raider games and so far with 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' it feels like you're going through an Uncharted game. I feel the gameplay is great, there are a lot more options in what you can do with your weapons and abilities - the problem is that it all feels pointless.
Everything is so beautiful in this game, but there hasn't been a big set piece that has wow'd me. Enemy encounters feel predictable and boring. While playing through this game, I don't really feel the need to keep going, but I do just because it's a game and that's just what you do - rather than there being an interesting story woven in through it.
I'm not even a huge Uncharted fan - I played through them mostly because I really liked the characters and the sound effects in Multiplayer (in 2 specifically) that really won me over.
A real game changer
Sorry sony, built you really dropped the ball this time. I've always loved your products and I've always recommended you over any other brand for consoles, tv's, home media, even phones. But after the last few days I don't think I can any more. I just received a pro for my birthday from my wife and I was happy. But unfortunately it won't turn on now I haven't even had it a month. But that was fine im going to get it fixed so no worries. But then I came home from work to see the controller that came with it wouldn't respond or turn off and was just on and vibrating. And it continued to do that till it died. And now I cant get it to charge or power on. That with my ordinal ds4 over heated and won't turn on im now down two controllers and a ps4. I'm really disappointed in you sony. I always expected more from you.

Disk not being read normally
I'm having a problem where if I insert my AC Black Flag disk I get an error saying "Cannot continue using the application, The disc cannot be read make sure the disc is not damaged or dirty" but I can get it to work if I try to put my PS4 in rest mode and press circle on the suspend application screen, and then go back to the game letting it sit for 5 or so minutes. Other disks do work fine which makes me think that this isn't an issue with the disk reader. The disk also doesn't look damaged or scratched in any way. Has anyone experienced this and been able to fix it?
External Hard Drive No Longer Showing Up
I have a 1TB external hard drive hooked up to my PS4, but the system won't recognize it. I lost power today and my PS4 was in rest mode, so it got hit. The system is fine, but when I started it up it told me I needed to repair the drive. I hit repair and it did its business and brought me to the home screen. I then went about thinking nothing of it, but I later noticed some games that were on the hard drive had errors and the system could not find them. The hard drive does not show up under devices anymore and can't be found. Plugged it into my computer as well and nothing happened. Has this happened to anyone else? Are there any fixes, or is it just dead and I need a new one?

Okay, I had bought the Season Pass for Final Fantasy XV and I had Episode Gladio. Up until now I had thought FFXV was still on the PS4 until my brother went through the applications only to learn that my game was no longer on the system. He had deleted it to make room for Spotify and Resident Evil 7.
It was the only game I had for the PS4. And I had hoped my brother would've left it alone. Anyway, I don't mind starting reinstalling FFXV and starting over but I was wondering if I needed to repurchase the Season Pass along with Gladio's episode. (I was just hoping to download Prompto's episode and the new outfit).
PSN account hacked and stolen. Filed fraud on my bank account and am waiting for Sony customer support to open. Any tips to get Sony to actually cooperate with me?

Sony is currently closed and I am anxious. Who ever stole my account tried to rack up a lot of charges, only got 4 to work. Called my bank and opened a fraud case. They changed my email to my account, so password reset is impossible.
My question now is tips on getting Sony to cooperate and successfully get my account back. I know they can be slime balls about this whole thing, but I invested a lot in my account and am taking no for an answer.
- Should I call, or live chat?
- I can provide the Fraud case number from my financial institution, but would that even be helpful?
- I have screenshots of the email of the fraudulent charges and then the password reset. Would that be helpful?
- I have the serial to my ps4 that my account was linked to. Actually, I have 2 serials. One from my boyfriend's Ps4 that I originally linked to and mine. Is that helpful?
- Any way I should speak to them? Should I be aggressive and show I wont take any bullshit, or should I tone it down and just be sturn about it all? I know that I need to be professional.
- If Sony refuses to return the money, even with my bank and who ever handles fraud contacting them, or not compensate with the loss of my account that is valued almost more than what I paid for my ps4, how likely would they start listening when I get a laywer involved? That is a lot of lost money, especially now that it has compromised my living situation. Once this shit starts effecting my living situation, I'm not going to beat around the fucking bush.
Any good tips on how to make this work in my favor and get Sony to at least be decent?
I'm not going to be fucked around with here. I'm pissed about this fraud on my account, and pissed that the digital downloaded games I paid for could be gone forever. Can a PS4 play media files on a blu ray disc?
Before I go waste a blu ray disc. I have a bunch of anime that I want to put on a single blu ray disc (instead of using a bunch of discs) and play it using my PS4. If I just drag the contents onto the blu ray disc, will the PS4 be able to play it or do I have to burn it on the blu ray disc for the PS4 to be able to play it?

Trouble signing in
I'm having trouble with my main account. I want to change the password, but it asks to verify my identity by entering my age. My parents insisted that I avoid revealing my age online. I have forgotten the information I had given, and the piece of paper I had written it on has been lost due to people feeling the need to rearrange the ENTIRE house every few weeks.
What are my options? I can probably just make a new account, but what happens to my digital games If I do that? Is there a way to transfer ownership/licences?
PS4 won't turn on at all
Hey guys. I've had my ps4 for almost two years now with no issues but after putting it away for about four days, it doesn't seem to turn on anymore. I removed the disc that was in there and completely shut it down before putting it away. Not really sure what my options are but I would prefer not sending it to Sony/buying a new one if possible.
I've tried using a different AC cable and different outlets but nothing seems to work. Whether or not an HDMI is plugged in has no effect either. I get absolutely no response from the console when pressing the power, eject, or PS button on a controller.
FYI the console is the one that was released with a matte HDD cover and external buttons.
Any advice?

Tv loses signal from PS4 slim
I got a 500GB PS4 slim from Prime Day on Amazon and almost every time I turn on my PS4, the signal is lost on my TV after about ten minutes for maybe 3-5 seconds, the TV says "Detecting...", and then it comes back. I've tried a different input and a different hdmi cable. Any one else ever run into this? Any solutions?

What's the best indie game on PSN no one talks about?
I personally love Trine 1 and 2. I know they're more popular within the Steam audience, but I still think they are underrated. I remember when Trine 2: Complete Story was free with PS plus in Summer of 2014. My buddy and I marathoned the shit out of it and had such a fun co op experience. Trine isn't for everybody though-if you don't like 2D platformers/puzzle games, then you won't like them.
Edit: worth noting that I hated Trine 3.

The game is interesting.I havent played the first one cause I had no PS4 back then,but now when I downloaded must say its one of the more interesting games I've played in a while cause im more PC gamer.It has some elements from Borderlands and that is good thing.The graphics are amazing but just why no 60 FPS?

Controller won't charge, not USB's fault
So I went to go get a wet towel to clean my controller. Some water got into the charging port so I turn the controller upside down to try to get some drops out. I notice that my controller needs to charge, so I charge it, but it doesn't charge. I decide to hook it up to my phone case that charges my phone and it works. So I know that it's probably because of the charging port. How can I fix this?

So I just pre-ordered Sonic Mania today, but I don't have the money for any other games, so I'm looking through the F2P list for any good PvE games. I'm seeing Orcs Must Die Unchained, but it's labelled as an action Tower Defense-type game, which reminded me of the last game I played with Tower Defense elements (Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault) and how the most enjoyable time I had with it was the final level where there were no tower defense elements. Would I be in for something similar with this?
[Help] Can't load Save data due to DLC license error in Persona5
So i decided to start my NG+ on Persona 5 but right now that save along with all my other save datas cannot be loaded for some reason, Whenever i try to load it i get an error from Sony Claiming i can't load the Save data due to not having ownership rights of some of the DLCs in the save data itself. The only DLCs i own are the free ones.
I tried to : Validate licenses
deactivate and reactivate as Primary console
Re-install persona 5
Try running in offline mode

Question about thumb drives
How exactly do they work with the ps4. I don't currently have the means to get one of the ps4 memory upgrades but I have some high storage them drives. Was wondering if I could save game install data to it (updates, dlc, ect) while not playing that specific game to make room.

Hitman worth for $29.99?
Title says it all. Was looking to pick it up but I'm not sure. The trial version on PS4 was pretty fun but is a full non action stealth game? I also saw Nier Automata for $59.99 at Best Buy and started to consider that but might wait for a bigger price drop for that game.

Wether it makes the good ending canon and continues to follow the 8 main characters or if they bring in a new cast of characters. I'd love to get a sequel following the 8 original characters again. If David Cage gets to make another game Supermassive should be able to make a sequel to Until Dawn.
Using an External HDD for more Storage
I recently bought an external hardrive to increase the memory of my PS4. Now I have the launch version of the PS4, which has 500 GB of memory in the system itself, but much of that is quickly eaten up by software updates and digital copies of games. I bought a HDD to increase the storage space on my PlayStation and couldn't be happier
I thought I'd post this so that someone who is on the fence about purchasing more storage can at least see why I like the HDD option.
I bought a 2TB hardrive, and all I had to do was plug it into my PlayStation and download away. I found this awesome because I am buying more games digitally than ever before, and 2TB is more than enough space for the amount of games I play at one time. The downside is that it might increase load times (personally I have not noticed a difference at all), and I am not sure how it affects online games. It also takes time to transfer games from the console to external storage.
Increasing your memory by switching the internal hardrive is also an option, but I found this to be more cost-effective and convenient. Plus it really isn't that hard to take with you if you want to bring your games over to a friend's house.
To sum it up, I am happy with the External HDD support that the PS4 has, and recommend getting one yourself if you horde games like myself. There are plenty of options for all price ranges out there!
I think its time we get a chance to change our country on our PSN accounts.

I normally watch animes,etc. via ps4(Internet Browser) but recently and stream doesnt work anymore. The thumbail is being loaded but when i press play it either stays Black or a message Pops up"file could Not be played ".

HDD just died: looking for informed opinions since I'm a little clueless
So it looks like my HDD just went to heaven and being without a PS4 is not an option. I'd like to give a few details on how we use our PS4 and would appreciate any feedback you can spare on what you feel is our best option. I'm considering replacing the HDD, upgrading to a SSHD, or even just buying a Pro. Keep in mind, money is a consideration (and I know that these options come with a widely varied price tag) but we're willing to shell out if it makes the most sense. Any suggestions for particular products would be appreciated as well.
- PS4 is our main entertainment hub. We stream, Netflix, Amazon, Vue, watch Blu-ray and I game. It's on a lot.
- We do not have a 4k TV.
- We do have PSVR.
- We have an 2TB external drive.
- Most of our games are digital.

Why the hell can't I have seperate words as my last name on my PSN account?
My last name happens to consist of 3 words. This is nothing uncommon.
Just now I went to update my profile and account information on my PSN account, and when I entered my last name, it told me "There are no spaces or special symbols allowed".
So now, I had to write my last name together as one word and it looks like shit (and wrong).

So I've already gone to options and changed the display area to the point where there is a gap between the white arrows and edge of the screen and I'm still having problems.

Help getting sound through my monitor?
I recently bought a monitor (Samsung LS24F350FHUXEN) and speakers (Logitech Z200). When hooking things up I saw that the monitor does not have a 3.5mm jack for me to plug the speakers into.
So what can I do from here? Is there any way to get these speakers (or even others) to work with this monitor/PS4 or am I stuck using just headphones in the controller?

Wow without any spoilers but im really immersed in the story and i think it has great characters, atmosphere and story telling. If you havent got it on PS plus you should get it because i have never had so much fun in a while and it is great to play with friends. I would come home frm school and play with my girlfriend and she was never really into games but she is now since we can both make choices Wow play until dawn while its free!

So, I want to own outright some of the games I have picked up as free PS+ titles. There's no way to do that?
So, I want to buy one or two of the games I've picked up for free on PSN. The issue I'm having is that my only option on the website is to download to my PS4, and on the PS4 store browser itself, all it does is show as "purchased."
So, is there no way to buy a PS+ title you played for free? I've read around on other sites that say you can't until the PS+ subscription expires. Is that correct? It seems unfair to to do that to users, because the games are sometimes part of a sale, and odds are when the PS+ acct expires, the game will be full price.
SEA-specific themes/items
So, I've recently become rather obsessed with all things Korean, and was thinking about seeing the SEA PS Store has any cool themes or icons that aren't available in the US Store, but none of the links I've found seem to work (they all redirect to the US Store).

I've been using my PS3 Slim for years as my Netflix and blu-ray machine. I felt the picture quality was better than PS4 (blu-ray) and I love the PS3 media remote.

Is Fortnite Sharable?
My girlfriend and I want to get Fortnite, but since the download for the program is free, I was wondering if you download the key or does buying grant the account access, like The Elder Scrolls Online does? If that is the case, I'll just wait for the physical version, since one of our accounts wouldn't be able to play it.
Asked people on the PSN and they confirmed only the main account has access to the game. So if you have to have multiple people, even on the same system, you need the physical version.

Currently I can't update any games. I downloaded bf1's update last night but overwatch and modern warfare won't download. I'm using extended storage that's only 1/4 full, games are for sure set to download there and I've tried restarting my internet. Everything else on the PS4 works fine. Thanks

Recent issue with sound latency.
Not sure how to put this in better wording, but for a while now whenever I turn on PS4 Pro on, there's a lag between the sound and actions i perform.
For example, in the main menu I'll switch between 3 games or and when i go from one game to the next there will roughly a 3 second pause before i hear the ping when i made the switch. Sometimes i don't notice it until I'm already playing a game or watching some Hulu.
Rebooting the PS4 fixes this issue, but it's annoying. This happens roughly every 3 days. Not sure if others are experiencing this issue as well.

Why cant I download the Destiny 2 beta through the Playstation app?
I get all the way to the end where it give me the option to "Download to your PS4", yet when I click that button nothing happens. I have tried half a dozen times and each time it just lets me click the button over and over with zero response.
Friend's PS4 Keeps going to main PS menu at random times.
So this started happening while playing SFV, while playing some matches the ps4 goes randomly to the home screen, the game does not close, we can go back and keep playing, but it happens a lot and it's getting annoying.
Anybody knows what might be causing this?

Need help setting up a PS4 controller on my PC (via USB)
Hey everyone, I recently bought a PS4 Slim and I've been trying to use a Dualshock 4 (the new one) on my PC, but I can't seem to do it properly. My PC doesn't have Bluetooth on it, so I have to use a USB cable to plug the controller, but whenever I do it, the audio on my PC gets completely muted, so I have to connect my headset to my PS4 controller to listen to whatever is playing in my PC, which is super weird.
Is there a way that I can use my Dualshock 4 without having the audio muted on my PC? Or am I just stuck with having to plug my headset in my PS4 everytime? Also, I'll only use it on ePSXe, so if there's something I have to do on the emulator itself, please let me know.

Question on Data Transfer
I'm planning on purchasing a Pro soon can't I back up my data on my regular PS4 to a usb and load the data onto the Pro?
PS4 crashes while trying to enter rest mode.

Why am I not enjoying Nier automata?
I liked the demo, the combat.
But ive gotten to the open city area and its becoming frustrating. Invisible walls, closed off sections. And the map is a confusing mess.
Im supposed to go to the desert but every possible way seems to be shut off. Its becoming increasingly annoying.
I saw all the praise for it and right now im struggling to understand it. Am I just playing it wrong? I expected more of a combat experience than just wondering around confusing maps. Grrr
Trophies not "popping" but still showing up on trophies menu.
Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone can help. For the last few months, any trophies I have earned have not been showing up as a notification in the top left corner when I get them, but they do show up on the trophy menu, so I do have them. What's even weirder is that when I view the screenshot from when I got the trophy, the notification is showing in the top left corner, even though it didn't show up at the time! Does anybody know why this might be and what I can do to fix it?
I'm Terrible at Modern Games and I Just Finished DOOM
I grew up with Nintendo (NES, N64, and then a Wii that I only really used for casual stuff like Wii Sports and Rockband). Over the last couple of years, my only gaming has been on the 3DS with the exception of one playthrough of Bioshock Infinite on PC. Super Mario 64 is my favorite game of all time, and I tend to enjoy platformers a lot in general.
In February, I bought a PS4 and have since purchased too many games and only finished a few. A couple weeks ago, I finished my first PS4 game--Uncharted 4--in about 19 hours. I wasn't too disappointed, seeing as how I was still familiarizing myself with the dual analog stick controls, but I was a little surprised that it took me about 30% longer than the average playtime, especially for such a linear game. Even more recently, I finished the Crash Bandicoot 1 remaster. I'm not sure how much time I sank into it, but I finished in 4 or 5 (lengthy) sessions. Not bad, considering the reputation it has for being a difficult game.
Then we come to DOOM. I started the campaign probably two and a half months ago and have been playing on and off since. Over the last week, I've really made an effort to finish off the last 3/4 of the game, and it has been agonizing. I bet I've attempted some checkpoints close to 40 or 50 times. I finally made my way through the last level, defeated the last boss, and checked my file's playtime. 32 HOURS. 3 times the average campaign playtime.
Now, there are many areas where I can see how my play has improved over the course of the game. I'm able to aim much better now especially on the move. For large parts of the game, I neglected to upgrade my weapons. It took me a long time to get used to the game's pace, especially after playing Uncharted 4, which lets you (and even forces you to) find abundant cover during most of the shooting segments. The biggest area that I neglected is equipment. I didn't start using grenades heavily until the end of the game ,and those are a big help.
Anyway, there's not much of a point to this post. I just wanted to share the fact that I finally got through this hellish game, albeit at a much slower pace than most. I'm about halfway through Ratchet and Clank and think I'm gonna finish that before diving back into anything more difficult.
Does anyone have any similar stories? Any games with a steep learning curve that you sunk tons of hours into? Any recommendations for my next game? I'm also about 1/3 of the way through Horizon and own, but haven't started, Fallout 4 and The Last of Us.
Weirdest thing happened.
So I borrowed Titanfall 2 from a friend and played a couple of hours. By tomorrow, my PS4 wouldn't let me insert discs into it anymore! I thought it was broken again because this is the second time it happened. Tried the fixes before but nothing worked. And i didnt bother bringing it in for service because they'd just replace it with a new one. Fast forward a week later I uninstalled Titanfall 2 and for some reason my PS4 started taking in discs again! Has this happened to you guys before?
Game suggestions for a family member with a recent brain injury
So I'm wondering if you guys and gals could help me with a request from my Sister in law. She is currently recovering from a very hard concussion and it has affected her brain's ability to notice/alert her of potential issues. She is having moments where she is putting herself in harms way without noticing it until after. Something that is freaking her out as she doesn't mean to.
So I thought it would be great for her to play games that require her to think through puzzles/missions that can be redone over and over to make her think of potential issues that could come up. Allowing her to fail at something then redo it to learn from it. Almost rebuilding her unconscious brains ability to notice threats without the conscious brain's notice as her doctor has stated. From her research, I guess there is some research into video games assisting in rehabilitation of more severe brain injuries. Specifically rebuilding/repairing functions of the brain potentially lost in the injury. She is looking for coop games that both her and my brother could play that require some thinking/ tactics to it. Something that might be easy to redo a section of the game.
I mostly game on PC so I am kind of lost at what is going on in the Playstation world and wondered if you guys know of any games I could suggest for her. I have suggested RB6: Siege since early levels can be done over and over, which ease. Also the game requires you to think about every action before going into a room instead of going in guns blazing. I was also thinking the division but that might be too much. I'm even thinking siege might be too much too. Any ideas? I'm thinking platforms/ some shooters might be the best but if you have anything else, that would be much appreciated. She does have some gaming experience but mostly casual.

What to buy on PSN Summer Sale?
Hello everyone, so this might sound like a dumb question, but what do you recommend getting on summer sale? I had couple of games in mind: GTA V, DOOM, Mortal Kombat XL or Batman Arkham Knight. So GTA V is 200kn ( around 30$ here) and the rest of them are 100kn (so 15-16$). I was thinking maybe DOOM and mortal kombat or batman, or maybe only GTA V. So what do you recommend? Cross save trophy question
I have read but not entirely sure that trophy progress also carries over so I wanted to clear it out.
Let's say I platinum SAO Lost Song or One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 on PS4. If I cross save transfer it to Vita would all trophies unlock or do I have to re-do tasks to unlock them one by one?

PlayStation 4 too hot issue
Hi guys,
Yesterday I booted up my PlayStation and everything was fine but as soon as I loaded a game my PlayStation gave an error message something along the lines of "The PS4 is too hot. Turn it off until it cools down" and then automatically shuts off.
So this prompted me to open it up and clean out all the dust. Still says it's getting hot and automatically turns off.
I went out and bought a fan that also makes my ps4 stand upright (which I read helps with overheating, not sure how true that is) and let the fan try and cool off before trying again. Still says it's too hot and automatically turns off. I even added a separate external fan blowing on the system as well but still the same result.
Basically at this point I'm not sure if I'm overlooking something or maybe something else is wrong with the system?
If anyone knows how to efficiently cool the system or if there's something else I can do to fix the error that'd be great! Please let me know!

DLC region lock issues.
Firstly I apologize for being late to the party when this issue has probably been brought up for as long as the DLC region lock system was introduced. I know Google probably has the answers I'm looking for, but none of them directly answered my queries and so here I am, with my selfish intentions hoping someone could give me a tldr version of it.
I live in Asia and I recently bought a game called Nier: Automata. Was really captivated by the game and so I decided to purchase the DLC for it without actually checking the region code of the game, and tada~
Region mismatch.
Now all I know is that the game is either US or EU version. The disc box itself doesn't have the usual region code (e.g. PLAS/PCAS xxxxx) located at the bottom of the spine. Instead, it's being replaced by seven numbers. After being kindly enlightened by the Customer Support in my area, I found out that the region code (CUSA-04551) was on the disc itself.
At this point, I thought it was the US version. But having read some posts on Google, it says that region codes with "CUSA followed by 12 digits" belong to the EU region. Only problem here is that the region code isn't listed on my disc box spine, which is mentioned earlier. And now I'm confused as to whether this game belongs to the US or EU region.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated because I don't want to make the same mistake of purchasing a wrong regional DLC again.
P.S. If you haven't heard of the game Nier:Automata, I highly suggest you go try it out if you are in for an awesome hack & slash JRPG with a great story telling experience. And if you're having any wrong ideas, I'm not in any way affiliated with the game's production crew but someone just wanting to share "the masterpiece that you probably won't play" with the PS community, with it being a PS exclusive as well.

Destiny 2 Beta Install really slow for anyone else?
I just started the Destiny 2 Beta today and the install is really-really slow, after ~30minutes its only at 44%(5GB Downloaded), with a 100Mb/s connection. This is slower even than the usually still slow PSN Store downloads.

Can we share Game data between 2 Consoles with 2 Different Accounts?
Lets say I downloaded Until Dawn (Free for PSN Plus), can I transfer the game data to my friend's console who also is a PSN Plus member, instead of downloading it twice?
New TV and Video app is awful.
Does anybody else have an issue where it does not load the first time you turn on your playstation?
If I want to use Netflix I have to turn on the PS4, click the TV and Video app untill it gets stuck on the loading screen, quit the app and relaunch it before I can actually select Netflix (or Youtube etc.).

Purchase of Fortnite only shows free version with re-purchase of founders needed?
I'm aware you can't play until 10 ET, but after purchasing it the only option I have is to actually purchase it a second time, with the free version being the only one able to download / rate etc. I know the servers aren't live, but this has never made any difference with pre-order games.
In other words, I buy the £32.99 version, it gives me the free version (which I could have downloaded anyway) and won't show the 32.99 version as purchased.

early this morning a huge thunder hit the ground a few meters from my home. Some devices were fried (modem, HDMI switch..), including my PS4 Pro.
While I can turn it on, I can't see any picture on the screen. I've tried three different TVs, two different cables, I tried booting in safe mode too. I can't get any picture.
I'm guessing my PS4 Pro is dead and I've started the return/repair procedure. The problem is... they say to Backup everything before sending the system, but I can't do that now (and I was stupid enough never to backup any savegame) since I can't boot (or see...) the system.
I was halfway my first Persona 5 play thought... please tell me there's a way for me to backup that save even if I can't get a picture on the screen... I know it's unlikely...

Can a game unlock a trophy from another game?
Asking this because I'm wondering if playing Survival Mode in the upcoming Uncharted: Lost Legacy (it'll come with U4's Survival Mode, which has its own DLC trophy tree under U4 game) will cross-unlock Uncharted 4's Survival trophies. Thanks.
Should I Keep Playing The Evil Within?
I went through the first 3.5 chapters tonight and got frustrated by the somewhat wooden characters, frame rate drops, and lack of story. I keep hearing about how amazing this game is, I was a big fan of RE4 and generally enjoy survival horror games. I'm just wondering if it has a slow start that I need to push past.
Can you get banned for getting in an argument over messages?
So today some guy added me to a party and I simply said "What's up what do you want" not trying to be mean. He took this as me being mean and started cursing at me and pretty much just flaming me for no reason. So I left the part obviously and swept it off. At this point he added me to group chat and started cursing and doing that shit to me over messages. I left and he added me back. This continued until I got angry and responded. Pretty much there was just a huge argument between us in the messages, with us both saying a lot of rude things in the heat of the moment responding to each other. Then he said that he was reporting me because of it and was going to get my account banned. I know that playstation doesn't really responds to reports, but if they do in this situation we both would be banned. Anyway I tried to defuse the situation by telling him that reporting the chat is a dumb decision because we both would be banned but he says that he doesn't care as long as I go down. I told him that it would be easier for us each to block eachother and move on but he's adamant on getting me banned no matter what it takes.
Will playstation really look too far into a couple of teenagers having an argument over messages? If so is there an appeal process where I can explain myself and that I tried to defuse it? I have thousands of dollars and hours into this account and don't want to lose it because of some stupid argument. Anyway I posted this on my throwaway because I know how stupid it sounds. I just want to make sure.

Ps4 Youtube problem still
I have signed in to youtube over 20 times at this point so that I can upload some gameplay and every time I try doing so it signs me out. I've reinstalled YouTube and signed in with the app. It still signed me out. So I tried it again but in the ps4 settings and it still signed me out. Then it loops endless for me to sign in after I've already signed in while trying to upload. Anyone have a fix?
PS4 controller going crazy
So about 2 days ago my controller started moving and turning itself off. So I decided to buy a new one at Walmart and not even 4 hours from buying it it's started doing the same. So do you guys know what's happening.
PS4 headset suggestions?
I'm sick of the earbud, but I constantly use party chat when I play my ps4.
I'd like a headset that works out of the box and the mic works on ps4. Obviously Bluetooth doesn't work unless it's the official headset, but it would be great if it still had Bluetooth capabilities so I could switch to my computer.
Alien game concept
How would you guys feel about an Alien game based on how F13 works but instead of parts for cars you had to find parts and tools and keycards for emergency overrides for say escape pods and to move on to different areas in the game. Kinda like Alien Isolation but with 8 survivors and one person as a Xenomorph. Also instead of pocket knives you can find flamethrower fuel cells.
Is there a delay or load time difference when playing games installed on an external hard drive?

Until Dawn is the most fun I've had playing a video game with friends in a very very long time.
Gonna keep this spoiler free - just want to sing some praise about this game.
Until Dawn was a game I always thought would maybe be fun to play one day but was never serious about actually playing it. I'd heard quite a few good things about it but the mechanics of it just turned me off and I'm not a big horror movie fan.
A few months ago I bought it on some Prime deal just to have it in my catalog and until last week, never even took the wrapping off.
So last week my new roommate saw I had the game, said basically the same thing I've felt about the game, and we just decided to finally check it out - Saturday night with nothing to do.
Cut to about 1:30am and we are huddled around the TV screaming at everything that happens, cursing every character's name, discussing all our conspiracies about what could actually be happening, consistently intrigued and overall having an amazingly fun time. This past week we'd race home from work to load it up and see what would happen next. We were so immersed and enthralled by this game it completely took over our gaming lives.
The story is excellent, the characters are extremely well portrayed - amazing acting, and the setting is unsettling as hell and often down right scary as shit.
I'm a big single player narrative heavy gamer where it's just me and I can be in my gaming zone (gaming has always been a me-time activity). But I have to say, this was easily one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. Sharing this adventure with other people, working together to get through everything, discussing the story, it was fantastic and now all I want is more of this experience.
TL;DR - If you haven't played Until Dawn, grab some friends, wait till it's dark, and play through a fantastic experience.
