GameStop won't allow me to cancel my "pre order" call of duty.
The game is not out yet and I want to cancel because I find it cheaper at Amazon because I have Amazon prime. I went to the store and they won't give me my $5 that I deposit to pre order because they gave me a pre order bonus which was a hat. That was like 3 months ago before I knew about Amazon. What do I do?

My Overwatch disappeared?
I'm looking to download my Overwatch again, but it's not in my library and when I go to the psn store, it gives me the option to purchase it.
I went to the psn website to look at my download list and it was there, but when I click 'download to PS4 system', it takes me to an error screen. Anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks in advance.
PS+ 3 months extra with for a year plan (NL / EU?)
Not sure it's been posted before already and if it's a Netherlands only deal or a European one.
My PS Store (Netherlands) is showing me an add that from August 14th till August 29th you'll get 15 months instead of 12 months for a PS+ plan. This deal comes just before the €10 raise of the annual PS+ plan.
My current plan ends half November, so I'll be picking it up for sure (not sure if I'll get the 3 extra months though).
I would just like to say something nice about the current state of gaming.
I've had my PS4 since February 2015 and I just counted 37 free games from ps+ I downloaded, and I know that's not even all that have been available.
Question on possible hardware issues.
I was playing a game and my ps4 froze, I walked over pressed the power button it shut down. Turn the thing back on and now it's just stuck on whatever shows up first, but I can hear it working. For example if the ps4 is off completely I turn it on and just a stuck playstation logo, but I can hear it working normally. If it is in sleep mode I turn it on and I see my "choose profile" screen, again I can use the controller and even load up a game from the sound of it. I've tried booting to safe mode, same thing stuck on whatever is displayed first and it won't change. Has anyone else had this problem? I can't seem to find anything on this exact issue.

Not sure if this is the best place to ask this, but is it possible to transfer media (pictures and videos) stored on a Blu-ray disc to a USB drive via the PS4?
My wedding photos/videos finally came in though the videographer put it all on a blu ray disc. This is really unfortunate since I wanted the files on my computer so I could back them up or use them for projects. The videographer keeps saying he's "busy" or he'll get around to sending me the files digitally but I'm not relying on that.
I definitely don't have a blu ray disc reader and neither does anyone else I know. The best I could scrounge up is maybe a PS4 which will show the videos and pictures, but that's not ideally how I'd like to use the media. Ideally I'd like to transfer the files to a USB or something via the PS4. Is that possible?

I've heard it's mostly compared to GTA, I play gta when I want to play something I haven't played in awhile, but I won't play it all the time, it's okay and definitely not my favorite. So is there a chance I'd like Sleeping Dogs? The scenery, setting, culture, really draws me to thinking about buying it.

Hey. Not too long ago I got a ps4 gold headset. Games sound good but I have a problem with my chat audio. My friends in a party chat can hear me OK. But my voice just sounds really hollow and I've tried pretty much everything. Can anyone help ?
PS4 disc drive really loud just for DS3?
I just bought a PS4 last week, played my first game digitally with no issues, but today put in a physical disc for DS3 and my PS4 slim got really loud. It sounds like the disc drive is going in overdrive, but it's also doing a sort of start and stop sound as well. The opening cutscene for Dark Souls kept stuttering as well, and sometimes freezing for a few seconds. Once I got into the game it was running really smoothly, but the disc drive still sounded crazy loud.
The only other physical disc I own is Uncharted 4, I tested it out for a few minutes but the PS4 was dead quiet the entire time.
Does this sound like an issue with my PS4, or could this be normal somehow? If it were just the fans I would just assume the game was really demanding, but a loud disc drive seems odd to me.
The disc for DS3 was completely new and clean, I did try cleaning it just incase, but it didn't change anything.

Guys, been having this issue off and on since I got my PS4. Whenever my mic is plugged into my controller I sometimes get insane lag which when it's going on there is a direct correlation to piss poor up/down speeds via test network connection. Here's the kicker though, it sometimes happens when I'm offline completely. Even still though, I moved and got a new ISP and router so it's too much of a coincidence for it to be up/down speeds because it happened at two different houses on different sides of the country. When it happens, if I unplug the mic I can hear my party chat through the tv crystal clear and the input lag goes away almost entirely. I've tried multiple controllers and they all do the same thing. Not sure where to go from here, any advice would be appreciated.

Dualshock sound stutter?
Hello, i´m going a little crazy with this. I´ve noticed some sound lag/cracks/cuts when i use the dualshock jack. No matter if the controller is pluggen in with the usb or unplugged. It´s not like it happens all the time, but i think it´s a little annoying, specially using headphones because it makes it more noticeable. Thank you.
Transfer data from broken ps4 to new one?

Using PS3 controller on PS4
I have a Power A PS3 controller that I'd like to use on my PS4. I hurt my hand, and the Power A controller is so much more comfortable for me. I've looked at other third party PS4 controllers, and I can't find any with the same design as the Power A PS3 controller I have.
The dual shock PS4 controller works well for some games, but it hurts too much to play others. It's a chronic injury thing, so I just have to figure out ways to adapt things so I can do them.
PS4 Stream Won't stop even though the Console is off
I was testing out live streaming to YouTube via PS4 and about 30 minutes into it my internet went out for like 10 seconds and it said, not he PS4, Stream ended or whatever.
But here I am, 1 hour after it stopped and it says on YouTube that it is still streaming. What do I do?
Controller vibration suddenly on?

Just encountered something that I'm curious if anyone else has as well.
I updated my PSN password last night, and it automatically signed me out of my PS4. I signed back in immediately, but I only got a chance to play again just now.
Strangely enough, my controller now vibrates in game! It didn't occur to me that it had been off all this time... I'm honestly not sure if I'm imagining it at this point. Maybe not playing for about a week made sensitized to it or something...
Maybe it did something to my settings by signing out and back in to my PS4? Does that seem possible? Any idea if it resets any other system settings that I should check out, or should I be concerned about this at all?
Anyways, pretty pointless, but just wondering if anyone else has encountered this and whether or not it should seem odd... I may just be losing my mind!

Is there a way for my sister who has bought a PS4 to download the games I've purchased digitally? I've set hers as the primary PlayStation and have transferred all data to hers but there is a lock under all the games. We want to play games online together but all of the games are locked because they were bought on my account. Is there a way she can access them?

My GF has Fibro and she is having a hell of a time using a PC sadly these days. She is mostly able to play with a controller though sometimes she needs to switch to her palm to move the joystick around a bit. Meaning sadly most FPS games are out of the market to play.
We are looking for Co-OP and mostly RPG if not MMO's to play on PC/PS4 that we can play at the same time.
Sadly I think FF14 would be one of the games that be too hard to control for her due to the camera controls.
The game she had the most fun was D3 though it's a bit hard with both of us on the screen at the same time.
Any suggestions would be wonderful. We don't have a lot of money so no crazy suggestions but if something interesting will bookmark it and get it on sale.

I pre ordered the new uncharted 2 days ago from the UK PSN. I just checked it now on store and says to choose version. It shows 3 same options to choose "Full Game". When i press one of them nothing happens. Should it auto download on expected download date? (21 Aug?)

PS4 L3 Sprint glitch HELP!
Hi, before i start, if this is the wrong section please move this onto the appropriate section or let me know where i should post a technical related question.
So i am sure a lot of people are aware of this L3 sprint glitch (notably on call of duty black ops 3 and a few other games like destiny)
Now i have tried a number of things (Di-electric grease, WD-40 [a little, not a lot], 30 click trick, and more) and nothing seems to work. I noticed that when im playing black ops 3, the issue is gone for a solid 20 seconds. After that, it progressively worsens and goes back to being glitched.
For those not aware of what this sprint glitch is. It is when you sprint,you start choking or jerking. This means i sprint but get disrupted if i move my joystick in a particular way (upward) which prompts me to keep spam clicking the sprint button (L3) in order to sprint without any disruption. This happens constantly and it is VERY annoying. I am looking to buy a new controller but am wondering if there is anyone here that managed to fix the controller issue WITHOUT OPENING IT.

Every replacement rubber cap I find seems to have to go OVER the original PS4 rubber cap. Mine have completely ripped off so that obviously won't work. Could someone link me to some that are meant to go over the plastic under the rubber?

Pretty much just like the post said. I played a game of Overwatch and someone was being a troll on the mic so I asked him to stop and when he wouldn't he muted me that was literally all I did no name calling nothing.
He's now sending me dozens and dozens of invites for the game. I blocked him but it doesn't seem to prevent him from send me invites. WTF do I do now? Can I report him somehow?
How can I get the screenshots from a dead PS4 to PS4 Pro?
My PS4 died via no signal HDMI connection and I decided just to purchase a Pro instead of sinking anymore hours into trying to fix my original.
I understand that if you want to transfer saved data, downloads and captures you transfer through a lan connection. The problem is that I used a lan connection on my old PS4. I read that both need to have wifi to accomplish the data transfer. Will the old PS4 automatically switch to wifi? I don't mind redownloading games as I go but I would like to have my captures.
Are there other ways to retrieve captures?

So, sometimes when i turn on my ps4, about 10 minutes after that, a notification shows up saying "Lan cable not connect" and about 10/20 seconds after my net comes back working just fine and it doesn't happen again. It's not a huge problem for me, but it's annoying sometimes. What could be causing this problem?
Diablo 3 Necromancer Expansion problems: Please input

I was really looking forward to getting back to Diablo and trying out the Necromancer. Having gone crazy in season 10 and burn't out a little, I had a time out. After purchasing the Necro expansion via the store, when i logged in i had the GREYED out and unavailable to use Necro.
I looked into some threads, and it seems like there are many many threads with people having the same problem.
Personally I'm pretty pissed off that Sony hasn't addressed this knowing it is causing issues, and made the update unavailable until resolved.
The reason I posted is for others to state if they had the same stupid problem and have therefore NOT been able to play the Necro and want answers.
Please reply, as I'd like to update the PS Support with this.
BTW: I have tried updating licences, logging out, restarting...

Has anyone noticed some games wont let your PS4 put itself in rest mode?
To be more specific, I'm talking about how your PS4 can put itself in rest mode after no controller input have been made for awhile. I have a habit of falling asleep with my PS4 on, so I've noticed that there are some games that wont let the PS4 do this for some reason. I can't remember all the ones I've found in the past, but the one I do remember is Destiny. Does anyone know what might be the reason to this?
Changing PS Plus Account
On my PS4 there are 3 user accounts. 1 Account is an American Account that I use for PS plus and deals, but not the Account I use to play on. It is set as the primary console, so all other accounts can play the games I downloaded to it, such as the monthly free titles.
My question: if I stop paying for PS plus on that account and use another account instead, and perhaps a different region, can I still play the games I downloaded on this original PS plus Account?
Non-violent games
What are are some non-violent fun games on PS4? It seems most best known games are quite violent and include different ways to kill everything in your way. Since the PS is in our living room, I would like to include some less (or non-violent) games. I would be fine with Zelda like experience where everything looks cartoonish so it does not seem as bad.
Without sport games or simulations. It would be great if not just another platformer or walking simulator

What are some good upcoming games?
I'm off to my freshman year of college soon and taking my PS4, my good friend and I plan on gaming with each kind of often to stay in touch. We typically stick to shooter games, or anything stealth related. i.e COD, Tom Clancy's splinter cell, Assassins Creed, Sniper Elite. Are there upcoming games that are good for co-op online or online play in general?
Install a external hdd in a Ps4
So I recently bought a external 1TB HDD. I planned to take the disc out of it's case and pop it in the Ps4. Will it work to make a backup of the ps4 on the external disc, then disassemble it, and then install it in the Ps4, or must I do the whole backup and restore process like when you get a new internal hdd? I bought a external instead of a internal hdd, because it was much cheaper.

Is my PS4 Pro dying... or is it just the games?
Hi guys, fairly worried about my PS4 Pro at the minute. It recently started when my console crashed after episode 1 of Life is Strange and the save became corrupted - first time I’ve ever had a save corrupted. Since then I’ve encountered random crashes here and there - maybe 3 or 4 over the last month? Now I did recently download the 5.0 beta and currently using it and whilst playing No Mans Sky over the last two days, playing in 4K or 1080p the game starts struggling after an hour play where textures are slow loading and frames drop. This also lead to a crash with same code as Life is Strange but luckily it didn’t corrupt the save. I didn’t want to risk it so tried uploading my save to the cloud and it kept failing. I ran the rebuild thing in safe mode which after this it allowed me to upload the save. I left the console alone for a while then turned it off - however it wasn’t powering off instead it had pulsing white light on the front. I held my finger on the power button and after it did the system check once restarted I’m in the process of reverting to the old firmware. I don’t know if this is just bad timing with the choice of games and the beta or if something else is going on? The HDD isn’t the original, I upgraded to a 2tb which has been fine up until now and had the pro on release. What do you guys think and anything I can do? Thanks

Playing Games in another Region
This is a little complicated, but I hope someone can help me/has a solution.
Basically I have a US PSN account but I live in Asia. I buy English versions of games and I like to play online. One such game is Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
The problem is that it places me in the US servers, even though physically I'm in Asia. I tried making another PSN account but so far I have not found a way to transfer saves.
This is an issue when I play games that have PVP/Regional events because the time zone issue affects me + unless it's a peer to peer connection type I lag since it puts me in US Region.
An example of this specific problem for this game is World Tournament events. I get the event times the same time as US (conflicts with my time zone) and the players it matches me up with are US players, and it makes me lag.
Anyone have a solution to this?

Wanted to warn people considering signing up for the Beta and to ask if anyone has had similar experiences, but in the past two days I've had 3 separate games freeze and crash on me which has only happened twice to me since the PS4 launched.

Sony Rewards PSN card now takes up to 5 days.
called customer support and it is a new policy to make customers wait up to 5 days to get a digital code because of "security measures" They told me that nothing has happend to justify this increase in time and nothing has compromised our security in the past when receiving codes. This is just a big FU to the consumer who has a play station card. I am going to cancel my card and get a credit card that uses points to give me cash and then just go and buy a card. I hate to say it but that would be faster than wait for Sony Rewards go give me a code.......Why Sony Rewards? Why?

Is anybody else frustrated with the sheer lack of any battle Royal games on ps4? I'd love a player unknown battle grounds type game to be released, the closest we have is survival on the division and it's just no where near as good.
I can't redeem my HITMAN Requiem Pack
I received a code for the DLC with my steelbook edition of the first season. However, the code is 16 digits and the PS4 store can only use 12 digit codes. For a free title America's Army is really fun. The authentic Army weapons are refreshing for a console title and the gameplay is as solid as any recent competitive CoD mode. Give it a chance if you haven't.
I loved the original AA on PC and was surprised by how much I enjoyed Proving Grounds. It's not the prettiest game but the competitive gameplay is pretty solid and a lot of people use Mics.

DualShock 4 "EXT" port pinout?
Hi, one of my DS4s stopped charging. I've checked insides of it, tried swapping USB/LED board, reset it, nothing helped, and now I'm 100% sure that problem is inside some of IC's. And my idea is about using some pins from EXT port, which is capable of charging, and I hope that it using some sort of different ways to provide power (it's capable of delivering 2 amps instead of 0,8). So my question is about EXT pinout. If you have official DS4 charging station and multimeter - check which of the pins on it are supplying 5V. Thanks for help.

I'm moving into a new apartment and having trouble connecting my PS4 to the internet here.
My router is close enough to hardwire, but the PS4 says it can't find the network server. Ethernet out from the router works for my computer though.
When trying to connect to Wifi, it won't pick up my router's signal yet my phone and computer connect fine. Tried typing it in manually but it still can't find an IP address. Nothing I have found online has worked.

Mouse not working on certain screen after it started randomly asking who is using
So my ps4 right now is pretty much a dumb pc. It's an ffxiv machine, that I use a mouse and keyboard to play. Starting yesterday, the ps4 has started asking me whose using the mouse like it does the controller. And I can't use the mouse on the log in screen to xiv anymore. I can use it in game and every other menu in game but the log in screen. Any idea what happened?

Hey guys. When I plug in the headset using USB the sound works great, but my microphone doesn't. When I talk I sound like Optimus Prime from transformers :D It's all robotic and stuff. I didn't find any solution to this so I'm asking, maybe any of you have had this problem and know the way to fix it ? My microphone works fine on PC by the way.

I have been playing all of the racers out for PS4 the past few days and I'm just about to finish NFS and I still want more. Is the crew any good at all? I saw that the crew Standard Edition was on sale but have been seeing the Ultimate Edition on sale every now and then. Is the UE worth it or should I take the sale that is on right now for the Standard Edition?

PS4 suddenly failing to read discs
After the most recent system update, I've noticed my system will repeatedly fail to read discs. Sometimes they work if the PS4 is restarted with the disc still in, but it seems completely random. Anyone know what the problem is/how to solve it? I've tried Googling it, but the answers are all from years ago.

I'm new to this gen: so far I've only found the above three that tick my very specific boxes.
I like minimal HUD, pretty visuals, but maybe most importantly; smart, mature stories. I like a narrative with a theme (preferably one that's a bit dark like mental illness, or loss, or grief), a bit of grittiness (violence is a bonus, but not essential: see Edith Finch), generally the vibe of a weighty movie in game form.
Just to clarify that it's NOT snobbery or ignorance when I say: don't like RPG's, broadly Japanese styled games, generic FPS, sports games, anything in those ballparks*
So help me out? I really stumbled upon Hellblade and would hate to miss other hidden gems like it.
*going to re-iterate this is -just- because of my personal taste in media. I had a mate at Uni who very passionately explained the scope of the Persona games (very impressive!) and a Brother with many exciting Battlefield 1 stories (sounds like some amazing experiences!). I respect that. And I know how irritating it is when people offhandedly dismiss something you love; trust me that this isn't that. I get why those games are good, just like I'm sure there's amazing songs in genres I don't personally like. The flaw is mine, not the genres', but still I can't help my own taste.

Ps4 Christmas sales 2017
So i'll buy a ps4 (slim preferably) this year, no doubt. Why? Monster Hunter: World of course. #represent. I love in Europe if that matters and am currently checking on eBay every now and then where you can get a ps4 slim for 200-230€, used and even a few games in addition for 230-260€. These are pretty good prices but i'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to wait for Christmas sales. I know these sales will still be more expensive but it'll be a new console with warranty and probably a longer lifespan. But often they only put weird bundles on sale that include things you didn't know you needed and you end up paying less than usually but basically pay the same price for more, unneeded stuff. How did the sales look last year and will they sale the ps4 or only bundles? Because once I get MHW early 2018 I won t be playing anything else anyways so might as well only get the console and maybe one game.

"A serious error occurred" then reboots into white static with SAFE MODE in the corner
I've searched Reddit and Google and I can't find this anywhere.
When I turn on my system, the PS logo comes up, then I get the black screen with "a serious error has occurred in the system" and I push OK. It restarts, no PS logo second time around, just white static and it says SAFE MODE in the top corner.
Does anybody know what's wrong? Can I fix this? Is my console fried?

Anyone else getting spammed with messages from random unknown users?
Lately I've been getting multiple messages from people I don't know on my PS4. I was talking to the guys in my party today and they said they've been getting the same thing. It's not the usual "good game bro" or "fuck you noob I banged your mom last night". It's variations of hey:) hello;) and hi ;p. I responded to one and they said they found me on psn. Oh and they're all mysteriously female. Did some new feature come out that I missed?
Using a "computer" monitor
So I've heard it's supposedly a bad idea to use a monitor for console games, something about frame rate or something, honestly fps and input lag are the only things I actually care about, as I won't be using any 4k or cm stuff like that, just straight 1080p, so my question is, does it really matter? Pause symbol error
Hey there!
Having an issue with my PS4 at the moment. Tried to download an update for Final Fantasy XV, but something went wrong and now the game square has a pause symbol below it and when clicking on it, it just returns to the same screen. I've tried deleting and reinstalling it, defragging the PS4, every solution I see online but nothing has worked. It just keeps downloading a massive patch over and over every time I try, and the pause symbol remains.
Anyone out there found a fix or experienced the same issue?

Bought new PS4 Pro - activation problems
I have a regular PS4. Recently I bought PS4 Pro, activated it as my primary PS4. Activation says "OK, this is your primary PS4". On old PS4 it says "this is not a primary PS4". All good. But when I log in to my PSN website, it still only shows my old PS4, there is no trace of the new PS4 Pro. Related to that possibly is the the problem I have with remote play on the new PS4 Pro -- it cannot find it when I try to connect using PSN.
How can I fix it? How can I make PSN account show my new PS4 Pro rather than the old one. Any tips appreciated.
Trophies won't show up on What's New feed
Does anyone else have a problem with their trophies not showing up on the What's New feed? I started playing Bioshock Infinite and I've gotten 7 trophies so far but none of them have shown up on my feed.
The What's New feed won't update and neither will my Recent Activites feed on my profile. Has anyone else had this problem?
I've already tried rebuilding my database but the problem wasn't fixed. Are there other solutions to this issue?

Why does my friend need a master account on his PS4 and now I have to pay for Play Station Plus?
My friend got a PS4 for his birthday and wants to get PlayStation Plus ASAP, but he found out that the master account has to pay for it, (or at least hold the funds). The original owner of the PS4 has the master account and he can't even access it anymore since the PS4 was wiped of all it's data for the new user. Now I signed up to do the master account thing and now I have to hold the funds, I don't want to pay for his PlayStation Plus! Help? We need a way for only him to pay.

A WiFi connection issue
Hello there i have this issue with my PS4 i wanted to know if other people get it.
The issu is that the PS drop the WiFi-connection for about 2/3 minute before getting it back in order.
I do know that the easy way to fix this would be hard-wired the ps4 but for my case i would require to pierce 2 floor and get 50+ meter of cable (which i might end up doing, the land lady won't be happy). I am open to suggestion before putting my drill in those floor

Borderlands 2 Handsome Edition is on sale for like $20. So is Sonic Mania. I'm torn because Borderlands 2 looks great, but I've never played it, and I'd likely be playing it solo. Is the game still fun alone? Or would I be better off with Sonic Mania, even though I've never played a Sonic game either?

Agents of Mayhem is Amazing!
Just played it for a few hours, and I'm completely blown away! The graphics are amazing, the city of Seoul is drop-dead gorgeous, and the characters are hilariously lovable. It has tons of nods and easter eggs from the original series that remind you of all the good things the Saints Row games had. I would recommend trying it if you're a fan of the Saints Row series.

I just bought a PS4 last night coming from Xbox/PC, What games are worth buying and some other noob questions
I haven't owned a playstation since the PS1, having been short on money I only bought an Xbox (liked Halo, Gears and Fable). Well Xbox hasn't had a ton of exclusives out sadly and Halo isn't what I used to like. Fable was also cancelled.
We (my girlfriend and I) were going to buy the Xbox One X on release, but there just isn't the games yet to justify it, so we bought the Pro last night.

How do I unlink my Spotify account from a PSN account?
My brother used my Spotify account on his PlayStation and now it's linked to his PSN account.
The problem is that he also forgot his password and email he used to register on PlayStation Network which means I can't login into his account and unlink Spotify from PlayStation Music manually.
Is there another way, maybe recover his account or am I fucked? :/
I'm having external hardware issues and can't find any information online.
About an hour ago I downloaded Lego Avengers and Batman 3 to my Toshiba 3.0 1TB external HD. For months I've had no problems. After downloading those two new games the PS4 does not recognize the external at all. When the external is recognized it says that it is not formatted correctly. I am getting error code CE-30005-8 when trying to format it. I am very lost right now. I have a lot of games saved on this current external and getting a new one and redownloading sounds like a nightmare.
Any advice/help?

Why is the PS4 so slow at downloading? What am I doing wrong?
Hi, I got a PS4 not too long ago for the exclusives, but it's a fucking pain trying to download anything when there is updates! It is a joke, it runs using wifi right next to my PC which get's 5MB/s download speeds, yet the PS4 gets 300kb/s if I am lucky. What gives? I just want to play Horizon: Zero Dawn. I have changed my DNS settings and stuff to google but it didn't really help. Anything I can do to sort it? Cheers in advance.

Is This Right? I Have Power Consumption Issues
Since I've moved into my flat, (which uses a "traditional" British electricity metre) I've noticed issues with power consumption.
In about 4 hours, it uses £2-3 of electricity and what's more, it seems to lag, so the week I was away (with no PS4 plugged in at all, because I took it with me) it went down about £8! Keep in mind I turn the whole thing off and don't leave it on standby.
This really doesn't seem right at all and I'm wondering if others have had this issue or if it's because I'm being overcharged because the metre calculates what I'm using differently to a regular electric bill.
BTW, no, I cannot not use a metre and therefore I'm not allowed to switch to a standard electric bill, because I'm renting.

Biogenik charging dock? Need help please!
Does anyone know if the biogenik charging dock connects to the controller via the USB port or the EXT on the bottom of the controller?!? I broke my USB port and have no other means to buy a new controller so if the charge dock charges via the bottom I will be able to play PS4 again, thanks!

Controllers not charging off console
Hi everyone,
I have 2 controllers that are having a problem charging when plugged into the console. The yellow light comes on when they are plugged in, but disappears after a few seconds, and the controller doesnt charge. This happens whether the console is powered on or in rest mode.
I have ruled out the batteries in the controller being a problem as they charge completely fine if plugged into a wall outlet.
Any ideas what would cause this or how I can fix it? Thanks in advance.
PS4 controller laggy/unresponsive when extended storage is connected.
I bought an usb to sata and used a 500gb 2.5" hdd and it worked fine. However both controllers are laggy/unresponsive while it is plugged in. As soon as I removed the storage device the controllers started working fine. On version 4.73 if that helps. Has anyone else had this problem?

I know I am a complete idiot but can someone please help?
There were a bunch of stickers on my PS4, and I decided to remove them, so I did, however the stickers left stains, I tried to remove them with Windex but that did not work so I tried nail polish remover pads but that left an even bigger stain.
Can I do something about it or is my PlayStation internally eternally ugly

Anyone else having issues with a flash of black screen at certain points?
Due to recent events and circumstances, I haven't use my PS4 in a while. I pulled it out yesterday and and let it update to the newest, which I think is 4.7 something. Then noticed this: At certain times, it almost… Skips with a black screen when starting something. I haven't tested everything, yet, but for a couple examples, this happened when I started Persona 5 and when I entered into rest mode. It's only for a split second, but in both cases the initial screen signifying the start of each thing, would immediately flash to a black screen with no sound before going back to normal. Like a skip. I can film it to show you, but I don't know how to put a video on here. Let me know and I can add it later. For now, I hope I explained it well enough…let me know if I need to add more info. Has it happened to you or do you know what it is?

Haven't seen anyone hyped up about it but the Friends - 'Custom Lists' feature in 5.00 is the favorite friends feature we've been asking for.
They ditched the glorified group message they had and now we can conveniently have lists of favourite friends for different type of games.
Just cause 3 is far from being perfect, but I'm having a great time playing it
After reading all the problems about the game: frame rate drops, save data loss, empty world... I really thought I'd give it a try to find it I didn't like it and leave it behind. To my surprise I'm having so much fun with it, I do understand all the criticism but even though it's not a GTA, I think people should give it a try I think it's a great PS plus game. What are your thoughts about it? Anyone else enjoying it so far?
Can't connect PS4 to internet after moving to college.
If I use WIFI, it won't connect since it requires a username and password and the PS4 doesn't support that. If I use a LAN cable, it can't find the IP address. I'm not sure what to do now.

In your opinion, what is the sexiest console ever made?
I think I have to go with the standard PS4. I love everything about it aesthetically. The Pro and the Slim are nice, but I still prefer the original model. Very sleek looking especially when you compare it to the Xbox one, which looks like a VCR. My next runner up would probably be the N64, with its unique shape. The original Xbox and the 360 are nice as well.

Barred from login on any PS4/Vita and specific online login portals (some work, others give "Access Denied") but multiple calls to support say that my account is clear and 100% fine
I've been fully unable to log into my account with the WS-37397-9 error since January of this year. Every single time I attempt to log in, on any device on any network (i.e. friends houses, LTE on my phone, etc.) I receive the same error telling me my IP is banned, even though it's quite obviously a different IP address.

I have been fully unable to log in on any PS4 or Vita I've attempted to use.
Support keeps giving me a runaround telling me to contact my ISP, run a virus scan, etc. This is not a solution.. I've been escalated to "supervisors" and "managers" countless times to absolutely no avail. I was told they'd open an investigative ticket and to call back in two weeks. Three weeks later I called and they said to call back on Monday. I gave them til Friday and I'm still unable to connect.
I called support again today and they have given me he runaround for the last 45 minutes I've been on the phone with them.... I was transferred to a supervisor, then his "manager", then his "manager" and am currently on hold for his "manager." If this wasn't a load of bullshit then I'm about three transfers away from reaching the CEO of Sony Entertainment Network...
If anyone has any advice or knows someone productive I can contact, that would be sincerely appreciated.. Between the hundreds of dollars spent in PSN and games, not including the $500+ I've spent on consoles, controllers, etc. I'm never going to spend another penny with Sony again if this issue cannot be resolved..

More often than not its the most streamed game on PS4, with several thousand people broadcasting live.
In my opinion, that's quite impressive since a newer Call of Duty game has been released since, together with several other major shooters.
Black Ops 3 has managed to hold its place.

I wanted to change my psn name, however, I found out that the only way to do that was to create a new account. Is there a way to transfer my downloaded games and save data? I don't really care about achievements or friends.

Controller won't connect back to PS4 after using it on different PS4
So my brother has his own PS4 and I have mine. I only have 1 controller and he has 2. We were playing on my PS4 and accidentally used both of his on mine. The next day he wanted to play on his, but none of the controllers would work. We have tried EVERYTHING and nothing has worked. We've used like 10 different usb cables, hit the reset button, disconnected the controllers from my PS4. Anybody have any other ideas? Thanks for any help

Help, my PS4 "O" button won't work
So i just booted up my PS4 and things started normally. Started farming for blood vitals in bloodborne and noticed how from time to time my "O" button does not workl. So, i thoight, "Hmm, must be a messed up bug in the bloodborne update" so i thought. Then it later got harder to press. Then i celebrated my first victory in the third boss in bloodborne. Mind you, i did not drop my controller or rapidly tapping the fudge out of my controller. I then prceeded to hunters dream and inspected the tombstones since i've got the chalice. But then started noticing that it won't respond when i pressed "O". So i press the PS4 button to go to the home screen and tried pressing "O", but then nothing's happening and so on and so forth. I do have a second controller but i fear that the controller i'm using now might be broken. Can someone please help me.

Hey guys, I have technical question for you, maybe you can help me:
I bought a new PS4 bundled with 3 games inside the box at a retailer, but the console came with some sort of hardware failure: every once in a while when I turn it on by pressing the power button, it will either turn off almost immediately, go into safe mode right away, go into an uncontrollable restart loop, or all of them combined.
I'm going to change it tomorrow at the same reatailer. My issue is actually with the games. I installed them so I'm worried that when they give me the new console with the new 3 discs I won't be able to play them because maybe the previous installs were registered at my Sony account or something (the one I select when I start the console). I don't yet know how DRM works in these consoles.
Maybe it's a super noob question but since I'm new with these new gen consoles I want to be sure about everything. Having to change the console for a new one after spending so much money is quite a headache already.
Preloading Destiny 2 from a friend to my PS4
Sorry if this has been ask but I would like clarification if possible. I bought the Collectors edition which is physical copy (duh) and my friend bought the digital copy who have he option of preloading the game coke Sept 1st. Is there a way I can use his account to preload the game so when I get it I'm not wasting my time downloading it and can play at midnight along with him. I would just use my physical copy the night of the actual release and download the day 1 patch.

Absolutely love Siege, but been playing it for a long time so something else to play would be refreshing.

My controller goes into standby mode at least once every 3 or 4 weeks, and the only way I know to get it out is to unplug the ps4. Is there another way?
Seriously, it goes into standby mode, and then I don't know what to do other than unplug the entire ps4 without even being able to shut it down properly because the controller is in standby mode. Is there any other way to break it out of standby mode?
PS4 & HDR Question
I just bought a Samsung 8series amazon link. I hooked up the PS4, tried to turn on HDR but it's telling me the TV does not support HDR. This is weird because the specs for the HDR is 1000, which from what i've read, it's supposed to be compatible with any PS4. Am I doing something wrong?

Playing multiplayer digital games from another country's account, pls help.
I have batman arkham knight bought on my US account but i play on my Portuguese account and obviously i can play, but i can only see the ps store ads in-game and download dlc if i'm logged in with my US account. I know that dlc is region locked and that's fine cause it is a single player game and i bought it way cheaper.
My question is: since apparently some online features (such as ps store) cannot be accessed, if i buy a game in my US account can i enjoy the multiplayer while playing it in my portuguese account?

I've been reading speculation and watching lots of youtube beta videos on the comparisons between the regular vs pro console for destiny 2. I have to say, I'm not seeing anything that really seems to show much of a difference the way say the ratchet and clank 4k upgrade was done. I don't own either console yet so I'm not committed to either yet. Is there any news out there that I missed, or something I could be overlooking?

Would love to play New COD on PS4, but im a PC player. Get a mouse and keyboard (XIM4) or suck it up and use the controller?
I would totally feel more comfortable with the XIM4 adapter, but i feel like i might be pissing too many people off too. I just know several people who are going to play it on PS4.
Help, my ps4 produces a high pitched hum when connected.
When I connect my ps4 to the energy source (to play), it starts producing this high pitched sound. When I'm playing games the sound is kinda intermittent, it is "low" for a second, then goes up (in volume), then goes down for some time and like that forever. When I'm not playing games, the pitch isn't as loud as if I were playing games, it's a little bit lower and stays at that volume. The only solution I have at the moment is disconnecting the ps4, but when I play with it my ears get destroyed. Help please! Anyone knows what could cause it? How to fix it? Anyone else has the same problem?

(HELP) Really having problems with my PSN login!
Hi all, I recently got back home and turned on my PS4 to start playing. Usually when I start, I load up on my (parent) user, then I just switch to my other user by logging out and choosing the other profile. The problem is that, when I logged into the other account, it said I needed to "sign in to PSN". This has happened before, but when I typed in my password and clicked log in, it said that I can't log into another Users account. I have no idea what I did wrong, as I am away from home during the week, so I haven't logged in or changed my password at all.
Ive tried changing my password, only for it to say "incorrect password" or "can't use another users ID". Ive tried to update software, but its updated to the newest version, tried contacting support, to no avail what so ever, they said they'll figure it out, its been about 2 days... So far, I can only log onto my (parent) account, but cannot use the internet on the other.
I really apologise for the long post, but I really need your guys help , and am hoping you guys could help me figure this out!

PS4 Remote play doesn't work
I want to use PS4 remote play via my 4G network (hotspot). But I cant get it to work. The upload and download speed of the 4G network is way above the minimum (min. 5 upload and download), and so is my WiFi network where my ps4 is connected to. But I still get this error code: (88010e0f) Cannot connect to the PS4. On my schools and home WiFi there are no issues using PS4 remote play.
What can I try to get this working? btw I'm using a Macbook Pro.

Agents of Mayhem - how is it really?
Can someone give me a little bit more information about it, it's one of the only major releases i've been on the fence but all reviews seem to say the same - It's fun but repetitive, no co op, slight performance issues, quirky and depending on your humour bad or good. I know Saints row, I know it's not trying to be it but that's pretty much all I've really gathered...
if I'm not mistaken, there's only one weapon per hero. Ridiculous autoaim that's on by default but even if you turn it off bullets still autoaim a mile off. Driving is meant to be decent, quests are generic but can be fun, no character customisation...but what else does it offer? Does it offer stats? Is the world big, varied? How many agents are there? Is there anything that stands it out that people seem to miss?
Please if you can give me some indepth info that hasn't already been glossed over I'd be most appreciative as it's peaked my radar but there's a few other smaller titles I want to grab that's on sale and with multiple games I want coming out at the end of the month I need to decide what I'll miss :(
Ps4 Volume Control through Monitor
I recently got a monitor to connect my ps4 to. It was a Phillips BDM3201FD, i have connected a ps4 to it via hdmi cable. Just wondering if there is anyway i can control the volume while playing media etc wirelessly instead of having to get up and change the volume from the back of the monitor. PS4 Controller Randomly disconnects? Help!
My PS4 controller randomly disconnects so I have to keep on pressing the PS button to sync it. Whilst it disconnects, it controls my character in NBA or COD and moves randomly without the controller being on. I don't know if the bluetooth is messed up. So I chose option to control the controller via USB. But is there a fix to this?

I finally bought the Dragon Age Inquisition GOTY edition on sale on PSN after not having played it since platinuming it after launch (so I can play all the DLC) and it's made me realize I haven't had the kind of experience I describe in the title too often, if at all, this gen.
Maybe it's just because the paths certain rpg franchises have taken (Final Fantasy focusing on a core group of main characters rather than a big cast, Mass Effect's drop in quality that still has me apprehensive to spend time with it, etc.), but I was wondering if many others shared this sentiment.
Or maybe I'm just somehow missing these types of games? I'd appreciate referrals if this is the case, thanks.
Turtle Beach 520 ‘Chat Audio’ Problem
For people who have this headset they are probably familiar with the this issue, I had this issue for a couple months now and it’s still pissing me off that when I change Output to Headphones to ‘All Audio’ the audio is absolutely fine but it doesn’t give me any of the advanced benefits it says it gives you on the box...When I change the Output to Headphones to ‘Chat Audio’ I can tell it gives me the benefits aswell as making me able to change the Chat and Game sound separately (This is the main reason I want this to function to work properly) but the quality is super loud, tin like and overall AWFUL....I’ve searched the web endlessly looking for a solution but I can’t find one... all I have found are people complaining about the same problem.
Hopefully people understand what I’m trying to say and hopefully someone knows the solution.

How to find out result of abuser from my report to SIE
This other player got angry that I got potg in overwatch and sadly next thing you know he is messaging me saying he hopes the tumor that I have "kills my old ass" and he "hates sensitive white people, cracker " etc I was shocked and he was always nasty so I reported the messages and about 2 to 3 weeks aka tonight boom SIE removed the messages and deleted the awful things he said but I still have the screenshots of the entire convo . So how do I find out if he got suspended or if he got off with 0 punishment ? I would hate to see him do this to others he goes around hurting many and I let him in about my health and he used it to tell me to go and die from it that he hoped I die from it . Is that not suspendedable? I will be upset if SIE just deleted the original messages and let him off with a slap on the wrist after telling me to die from my tumor which I'm suffering in chronic pain also which he hit on (I'm only 20 btw :(

How does the PS4 perform as a media streaming device?
I was looking to pick up a streaming device like apple tv to stream Hulu, Netflix, HBO Now and Epix to my TV. I then realized that I could get a PS4 for slightly more money and get access to all the great/upcoming PS4 exclusive games as well as all the streaming apps that i mentioned. How well does the PS4 work as a primary streaming device, is video playback smooth and responsive etc.? Would love to hear any thoughts or suggestions on this. Thanks

Issue with the internal PVR on the PS4 pro
I've now noticed a few times when recording that when I'm playing the footage back there are random 'skips' in the video. There isn't any pattern to it, and I have plenary of memory (well over 400gb)

DO NOT Upgrade to ps4 beta version 5.0 - it just bricked my ps4.
I just upgraded to the 5.0 beta. I came into my room from it installing and wanted to join a party. There was an error, so I thought restarting would help. It hasn't been able to get to the home screen yet. Upgrade at your own risk.

PS4 Digital "Purchased" Library
So it seems like this isn't something that many people care too much about, but I really wish that they let you group your "purchased" games in separate folders. With the incredibly small HD on the OG PS4, most games can't actually be installed on the ps4 at once. This makes the folder system now available essentially useless. I have a large (about 150 games) digital library, and with the growing popularity of all digital, this seems like a necessary addition. Just like in your home, you can order your unplayed physical games on different shelves, it would be very helpful if you could do the same on the ps4 system instead of a giant alphabetical list of games. Can anyone empathize or have thoughts on whether this type of thing would be helpful?

I am originally from the UK and currently work in Hong Kong and plan to buy a PS4 soon, due to the nature of my job I am unusure what other countries I may move to in the future so have always been concerned with region locking. So I just want to ask some questions before I get the PS4.

With Cities: Skylines out, is there a possibility of more Tycoon/Simulation games coming to PS4?
I know Tropico has been on PS4 for awhile but I feel Cities Skylines has quite a bit more menus and details on what you can do. And it really works well still on the controller. The UI is great, and I've had a blast playing it. Within the first 10 hours of having the game, I played it for 7 of those 10 hours. I would love to see some more tycoon games come to PS4 cause those were my favorite games to play on the computer as a kid. Games like planet coaster would be amazing to see on PS4. I've never played planet coaster, but I have watched it and I think the UI could look similar to Cities Skylines and it'd work out fine. What do you think? What other tycoon games would you like to see on PS4?
Have had a PS4 since launch, starting to have issues.
I have had my PS4 since launch but recently have been having a lot of issues. My console takes FOREVER to load the store and other basic tasks, my download speeds are atrocious and the console freezes up. Undertale is probably the only game I've ever played where you can get a platinum trophy without finishing the game.
Undertale, a game with multiple endings, requires you to get to a certain part of the game (not the ending) to get all of the story related trophies. The rest of the trophies can be unlocked by just spamming a button for 10 minutes.
I wish Toby Fox could've made it that it takes at least 2 playthroughs (Passive and Genocide) to get platinum. It's a good game, but way too easy platinum. It now has a 10.6% on platinum.
How do i share my PSN digital only games with my children on their PS4?

As per the title i bought my children their own PS4, this is so i get to actually play my games!. i have the PSN yearly subscription and have been buying all games digitally as theres no risk of discs being scratched.
I created a new PSN account for my children on their PS4 under my wifes name, however I did not pay for PSN (I have bought a few games digitally on there when they have enough pocket money) as i do not want them online yet as i feel they are not ready to experiance that and i cannot supervise them all the time.
Now i do own physical copies of games and as you know all i need to do is give them the disk and away they go, however im at a loss how i share my digitally bought ones, i read a guide that told me to log into their ps4 and download games and they can then play them, but it turned out only my account could access them and their accounts had a padlock icon on the games. When they tried to play them it told them they had to buy the games again in their account (im not at my ps4 right now so i think that's correct)
So my question remains, is there a way to share or am i going to have to go physical and risk them scratching the disks? I wish Sony would make this easier.

PS4 pro was my first console ever and i had a lot of fun with it, but i'm moving out soon so i need some money, I'm selling it but i'm sure i will buy a console again just when things will be different, my Question is did i do anything wrong (apart from selling my console) 1.Deactivate as the primary console 2. Log out of PSN account 3. initialize the system will i be able to login with my username and password into another Ps4 if i will buy one ? and have games in my library that i can download again on a new system ? sorry for stupid questions and Thank you

PS4 is acting up (automatically clicking random options without input from me). How can I fix this?
I noticed my PS4 every year(?) or so acts up by randomly clicking options on my ps4 interface without input from my controller. Like I turn the ps4 on and it starts to navigate to a random game or netflix or PS store and buy a game for me randomly eekkks!! I force shut the ps4 down before the latter could happen (I hope) but it's really starting to frustrate it. The last time it happened my bf was over and he did something to "fix it" but now it's back.
Has anyone ran into this issue? Why does this happen and how can I fix it permanently?
EDIT: Also, it looks like the transaction went through!! FML. Is there a way to cancel the transaction? It was a pre-order of a game. I didn't touch the game yet.

Any Superbeat Xonic fans here?! Thoughts on new dlc
So I hope more people buy /u/PMSTUDIOS and nurijoy's game "Superbeat Xonic", if you havent, do it now. The best rhythm game on Vita was ported to the PS4 with more songs, better resolution, sound...if you don't have it...go get it if you have any interest in rhythm games...but I digress.
The new dlc release (3 song pack for 5 bucks) is very much worth it. They are not the hardest songs, unfortunately, but they are some slick jams and they fit in nicely.
I can't decide which is best. I am leaning towards select/start or donut island though. Although all three are good. Just giving my recommendation for owners of the game to check them out and those that don't have the game to go buy the full version :)
PS4 Problem:Beeping 3 times when shutting off?
I have a PS4 CUH-1216 B model.Whenever I shut it off or put it in rest modest takes about 30-45 seconds, then makes the three beeps and turns off.This has only started happening for about a week.I've rebuilt the database and deleted Spotify but I'm still getting the three beeps.Recording on the PS4 now takes a lot longer, it recognises the double tap as a single tap.I've had the PS4 since Feb 2016,is there anything I can do?
I also got Error code CE-36330-5 yesterday,could that be anything to do with it?
