After updating to the newly released Playstation software, v4.71, I am now unable to connect to my home network through LAN connected directly to the modem.
On the Playstation when setting up a LAN cable network connection (using easy setup), I am asked if I use a proxy server after the playstation checks the network environment. Since I do not have a Proxy Server in my household, I choose "Do not Use", after a brief check of the network environment again, I am provided with the error "Cannot connect to the server." (NW-31201-7).
Here is the real gotcha now, when I setup my PS4Pro using a Wi-Fi connection (again using easy setup), I am not asked for a Proxy server, the PS4Pro performs its network test and everything goes according to plan. So why is it that when on the exact same network with no changes to any internal settings that Wi-Fi works but a LAN cable will not and asks for a Proxy Server?
Any help is appreciated with this to get back online using this LAN cable.
Some additional notes for those who may ask:
* Wi-Fi is 5Ghz, alternative 2.4Ghz is also available
* multiple LAN cables tested, CAT5E and CAT6, same issues with all cables
* network provider is Telstra Australia
* In addition to the network issue, the PS4Pro will not shutdown or restart on its own either after the v4.71 update (continuous white flashing light), a force shutdown is required
