I bought Ratchet and Clank on Saturday(loving the game too) and then saw it go on sale and thought I'd try contacting support to see if I could benefit from the sale.
FYI:Their policy does not allow reimbursement for something like this
But, I was really nice, demanded nothing, just asked if there was any benefit I could get, got handed off to a supervisor and was given some wallet funds to account for the difference in cost.
So if you are in the same situation you can try contacting support and being really nice to see if they can help you out.
