Trying to convince my friend to get titanfall 2.

So basically, we've been hoping for a standalone release of cod4, which appears to be happening soon. We used to play that and mw2 a lot back in the day, so we have been excited. Well I've heard a lot about how it may or may not have been ruined with micros transactions and we might have to pay for the dlc. Because of this I said hey maybe we should get titanfall 2 instead. Made by the original team, free dlc etc. well he seems uninterested and says he doesn't think he would play it for that long. Any way to convince him this is a proper successor, or something he would enjoy? Thanks
