I'm not sure how to feel. I'm incredibly disappointed once again, but I feel I have no right to be. Of course Until Dawn is a fantastic giveaway, but I (and I assume a lot of others) have already played it. So ultimately, here is another month where I will probably not download either major title.
Game of Thrones I could not care less about. Tales from the Borderlands has rave reviews, so I gave it a try, but I couldn't get into it. Or the Batman Telltale series, or the Walking Dead ones. I'm sure these games appeal to some people, the art style is always appealing. I just find them incredibly boring, and hardly "games" at all. You just make these meaningless, threadbare conversational decisions that barely make an impact on the actual outcome of the story. Granted, the stories may be good, but the games aren't engaging enough to actually make me find out.
Where the frustration really comes from is seeing Asia's PS+ lineup month after month. They got Until Dawn earlier this year, along with God of War 3 remastered, and Disgaea 5 soon after! What do they get this month? Killzone Shadowfall, Child of Light (a gorgeous RPG I've wanted to play for a long time) and Gravity Rush Remastered!! Are you kidding me?
I've just become very disillusioned with being a PS+ member, and I hate sounding so entitled-- these are free games, I should just be happy to get anything at all. But can someone please explain the discrepancy between the US/PAL region giveaways and the stellar lineups that Asia gets month after month?
