A few things PS5 needs to have

With the PS4 fast reaching its 4th year I was speculating how sony could handle the PS5, now before people start bashing me with things like its too early, the ps4 pro hasn't even been out for a year etc, this is just speculation and I won't be talking about a possible launch year for PS5, sony have no reason to shift focus off of the PS4 its been doing very well so far, so lets get into it-:

1.Full backwards compatibility with the PS4, one of the biggest issue's with the PS4's first 2 years atleast, have been the constant ports of PS3 games which in my opinion created a big gap of exclusives in the PS4's library for a good 2-2.5 years, this should be easy to do on Sony's part, unless they go for another architecture redesign which won't make any sense because the AMD APU used to develop the base model has been very cost effective to produce and manufacture for sony and its proven to be very profitable, so they should be implementing the same type of architecture with better specs which will hopefully mean no more 30fps games for the next generation of their console.

2.A better operating system, one of the worst things about the PS4 is the amount of hard drive space a big triple A game can take and on top of that the PS4 OS backs up every update a game gets as a fail safe mechanic which I agree is helpful in keeping game data from corrupting, but my main issue with this is that it creates "useless" space on the hard drive, if you have ever reached something like 20-28GBs of space available aside from the space allocated for the OS on your PS4 you should notice that the console will refuse to update anything, backing up of updates should not be happening in the first place each update should just be installed as is and deleted, if the game data corrupts people should just be able to download it again, why sony chose to implement such a feature with the base consoles only shipping with 500GB's of space does not make any sense.

3.A focus towards esports, we all know how big esports is and how much bigger it will be by the time the next generation of consoles make way, the base model PS4 which is the most common model used at events has a huge overheating issue which leads to bad hardware performance under stress, the issue here is with the design, as sleek as the base models design is its not sustainable for long periods of time for smooth performance.

4.Allowing you to carry over any digital purchases from the PS4, this one is related to the first point, we've seen sony do things like give you a discount on digitally bought games on psp for the ps vita, we all know how that worked out and where the ps vita is due the bad decisions made on Sony's part.

6.Allowing us to change the PSN region and name of our accounts, there is a possibility of this being implemented as a update some where down the line on the PS4 but if it doesn't, then this should be one of the most demanded features for PSN for the next generation.

7.No Mid-cycle hardware refresh, the reason for this is console's were never meant to compete with PC's and Sony should know this better than anyone, the pc hardware market changes every passing day, consoles were never meant to keep up with them, Sony seemed to have forgotten that software is what matters the most, the reason PS2 sold 150 million units was not because it was the most graphically pleasing console of its generation far from it but because of the vast library of games it had, same with the PS1, if anything they should have just invested the money they spent on R&D for the PS4 pro (I own a pro myself) to develop more exclusives, a slim reiteration of their consoles would have just been fine, the whole idea of a Mid-cycle hardware refresh seems half-baked and it was more of a we have to do this to reply to microsoft thing, we all know how far behind microsoft are compared to the PS4 there was no need for sony to feel insecure about losing the lead.

These were just a few ideas I had for the PS5, What are your ideas for sony's next generation console?
