Hey all, like the title says I 100% completed and platinumed the Order 1886 tonight after picking it up last week on sale for $5. And my god I loved my time with it. I put about 8 hours or so into it and enjoyed every second. It's a visually gorgeous game, and the setting and overall world the folks at RAD constructed is cool as fuck.
In a world full of games trying to be hundreds of hours long, playing the order as a concise story that knows what it is is extremely refreshing. I'd love for playstation to invest in the series to continue, seeing as the majority of their franchises are now leaning toward 25+ hour open worlds.
Sure it had a decent amount of QTEs and was a bit heavy on the cutscenes, but I approached it the same way I do a Telltale game, story first, mechanics second.
I really loved the spin on the knights of the round table, and the threads they set up to continue exploring that world are making me itch for a follow up in some capacity. A sequel could step up and fix some of the issues I've read people having with the first. But ranting aside, would anyone care for a sequel?
TLDR In a time where every game wants to be as big as the witcher something like the order is an amazing change of pace, is a sequel something you'd want to see?
