On the Xbox One, you can read and write messages from the Quick Menu. Why isn't this feature on PS4?

I was over at a friends house just now and he owns an Xbox One.

While I still prefer the PS4, I have to hand it to the Xbox's messaging system.

On my PS4, I have to minimize a game fully and enter the messaging screen. On the Xbox, you can just snap in the quick menu and chat there.

It's much faster and easier, and makes it way better to socialize. I hope this is something we'll see in the PS4 OS 5.0.
