Some facts about PS+

• PS3 and PS4 use the same network and offer many of the same titles. On PS3 you can play Ultimate Street Fighter 4, TLoU, GTAV, Dark Souls 2, Borderlands 2, Minecraft and many other great titles for free, period. On PS4 the same game requires a monthly fee.

• On PC you can play Dark Souls 3, Star Wars Battlefront, Call of Duty, Battlefield 1, Rocket League etc. online for free. Same game as on the PS4 except you have to deal with cheaper prices and higher quality graphics.

• The average gamer who plays online the entire life of the console will spend more money on the multiplayer paywall than they will on the console itself. 60x8=$480. $480 + $400 (For the PS4) = $880. $880 = a bitchin gaming PC.

• You bought your subs at a discount you say? You still gave Sony hundreds of dollars for multiplayer access for a handful of years, while PS3 gamers have enjoyed using the same service for free, for over a decade. Sony still profits from you.

• You pay an internet bill. You pay an electric bill. You buy a console. You buy a game. On PC, and on PS3/Wii/DC/GC/DS/3DS/PSP/PS2, that was all you did. It wasn't until this generation a company besides Microsoft introduced a bullshit multiplayer paywall.

• Free games are games that require no money to play. Games that require a monthly subscription to play are not free by any definition of the word. So you just want multiplayer and consider the games a "free bonus?" Good for you, the price you pay is still based on those games being included in your purchase, and tailored to the profit margin Sony expects. They are not free, period.

• PS+ discounts? I guess they're cool if you simply must go digital. Where I live, (USA), it is cheaper to buy a physical copy at regular price than a digital copy on sale. Add to that I can lend it to friends or sell it, and the price I get requires no monthly fee, and it's a no brainer.

• PS+ and XBox Gold will continue to exist as long as enough people buy into this bullshit. The power to end this practice resides in each and every one of you. I have never payed for PS+ and I never will. Who else can say the same?
