Was Nuclear Throne ever patched?

Hi all, am a PC gamer that recently switched to the PS4. I spend many enjoyable hours with Nuclear Throne on Steam, and want to pick it up for the PS4. The only problem is that i saw that it was really buggy around mid 2016, and the patch that would fix the problems was getting delayed.

I could not find any information on whether or not that patch actually made it to PS4. Did the patch eventually make it? If not, how badly is the gameplay effected?
