Cant play with my PS4 since the update

When I updated 4.73, my PS4 stopped working. It took me to a black screen saying I need to update my PS4 with my USB. Thing is that doesn't work. I've used the USB and in it put the file where it needs to be. And it doesn't read my USB. Anyone know what I can do it's been a tough week with this
