Cities: Skylines has released and from what I've read and seen it looks like a great port from what at the time of it's release on PC was a fairly demanding game and still is. Here's an impressions thread from people who bought it posted yesterday.
The one thing I have an issue with and this is more to do with the publisher (Paradox Interactive) rather than the dev (Australian studio Tantalus Media) is that with the PS4 releasing 2 years after it's PC release, they only bundled one DLC; the After Dark expansion.
The PS4 release is missing:
- Snowfall - Released 20 Feb 2016
- Natural Disasters - Released 29 Nov 2016
- Mass Transit Released 18 May 2017
To be fair, it's not priced at a full $60/£45 RRP I just think considering how long after release it has been they could have gone that little bit extra further even if it delayed the game a month or two and added in a 'complete' version.
I certainly would've been much more eager to spend my money knowing that further down the line I wouldn't be asked for more money. I'm happy we're getting these games (and Pillars of Eternity is coming too!) especially games that are more suited for mouse and keyboard and require UI/control rework but I don't want to be fleeced either.
What does everyone think?
