External HDD not reading

I turned on my PS4 today and I keep getting an error message saying that the system wasn't turned off correctly. Also, it says I need to repair my external HDD and when I try to it says it's unrepairable and I need to reformat it. When I try to reformat it, there is no USB drive available.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?
