HBO Go app buffers infinitely then upon closing of the app and opening again it "cannot connect to network"

Does anyone else come across this issue often? The only way I can continue watching a show is if I turn off the PS4 and restart but I feel like an app shouldn't require a full system reboot every time it buffers.
