If I cannot buy Gold (or Deluxe) edition in PS store, the code for those cannot be redeemed as well?

PS plus 12 months subscription + Tom Clancy's The Division Gold Edition deal available on my PS store right now.

I've already owned physical and bought season pass via PS store. Therefore my PS store shows that the Gold Edition is not available to purchase since I already had season pass (but the Standard Edition still available to purchase).

If I buy this 12 months subscription deal, the Gold Edition redemption code will be sent to me. Will the code be able to redeemed? Or it would check that I'm not eligible to have Gold Edition and wasted?
