Is The Game of Thrones Telltale Game For People Who Have Never Watched The Show?

Using the long weekend to take advantage of some easy platinums - I'm currently going through Borderlands.

Is the Game of Thones Telltale games any good? I'm not particularly enjoying Borderlands but did like Batman and Walking Dead. I've never watched Game of Thrones - would I be lost?
