Hello all, I've never formally created a Reddit post before but I was hoping I could get some input. I'm going off to college soon and I planned on having a solid category of games to last me during my free time. So far, my catalog will look something along these lines: -Destiny 2 (my main game for sure) -Horizon Zero Dawn (incl the upcoming expansion) -Undertale -Missing piece
So that "missing piece" is what I'm looking for advice on. I have my main multiplayer/shooter down packed with D2 and then I'll have my RPG fix covered with Horizon and then Undertale is there because I've heard nothing but rave reviews and I wanted to test out the indie genre. So far out of those games the only one I've started is Undertale and I only played about 15 minutes of it but I totally dig it. I also played fire watch and really enjoyed the art style and music.
So now for the conundrum; XCOM 2 is on sale on the PSN store for $24 and the deluxe is $30. Also, the new uncharted game is coming out very soon and I heavily enjoyed uncharted 4. I had planned on getting the indie game Bastion in order to fill that missing piece and then move on to transistor and eventually pyre once I finished the previous titles but XCOM going on sale and the upcoming uncharted game has created a real problem for me.
I know you can't truly compare XCOM 2/Uncharted to the others because they are AAA games while the others are indie but in terms of that missing space, which game do you think covers more of what I'm missing? I think when it comes to what I'm looking for, I want an overall better experience that I'll love and that'll stick with me for a while. Uncharted seems to be the outlier here but I still want to consider the game as an option. Only a few games have left a lasting impression on me and those were the Witcher games and the early Pokémon games.
Any feedback is appreciated but please keep this spoiler free!! Thanks!
