My (probably unpopular) opinion on Hellblade.

I just finished this game and wanted to give my final impression. The intro was perfect, kinda caught me off guard how the voices actually sound like they are inside your head, it's very trippy. The audio and the visuals in this game are top notch, and the performance is very stable. I played on the Pro and i really appreciate when devs implement both a 30fps and 60fps option. I myself played at 30fps because the game looks simply stunning that way. However, i gotta say, the game kinda felt like a drag at times. The pacing is all wrong, and the gameplay mechanics aren't very complex and they feel repetitive and forced. This game is basically a story driven walking simulator like Gone Home, with a bit of action thrown in the mix. The combat is pretty solid, but sometimes there's just too many enemies appearing out of nowhere and it feels out of place. Now about the whole szichophrenia thing, i've never really experienced psychosis myself so i can't really relate to the subject, but i can see that the devs put a lot of love and care into this game...that being said, i still can't help but feel that the story is overly pretentious. I've seen a lot of reviews and people giving it a 9/10 and i think that's a bit too much. This game is a 7.5/10 at best, which is still very good, and for this price you really can't go wrong.
