I'm absolutely loving Super Motherload, Downwell, DD 2, Just Cause 3.... it's a great variety and change of pace between all these games and I can very easily lose 4-6 hours in a sitting on these games.
With Crossout I'm level 9 now and the sense of progression starting off with a little pick up truck 2 guns and little armor to a moderately armored pick up truck with 3 30 mm guns and 1 shotgun for close in combat is so satisfying. I've installed a radar dish for increased range to see enemies further out, better tires, better energy core, armored my radiator and you definitely notice your upgrades becoming quite effective. All kinds of different forms of combat from capture the base, free for all, death race, etc, also have raids with other players for specialty items. It's a free to play game and so far I have not spent a dime and it's not constantly in your face to buy something. They also have a super super massive item pool for unlimited customization... it takes a little bit to wrap your head around it but once you have and realize the endless possibilities with armor, weapons, engines, cores, etc many many many hours worth of content.
I've also placed 1st plus MVP on numerous occasions after each match... it's a player skills based game more than anything. Made by the same people who made/ run war thunder another outstanding game. You can't go wrong with Crossout. Kinda reminds me of a very very very very sophisticated WarHawk but strictly ground combat.
Dungeon Defenders 2 has been another outstanding time sink with outrageous loot. The combat can be very fun, aggressive, and challenging without frustration. Fantastic fun with a group of 4 going through wave after wave of enemies collecting loot with all kinds of stat modifiers.
Super MotherLoad is a laid back mining game that requires some forethought, planning, and resource management. While upgrading your vehicle that is a earthen drill with bigger fuel reserves, faster drill, stronger engine, better radar, bigger cargo hull etc. great change of pace.
Sure... I've loved the fuck out of Sleeping Dogs, Horizon Zero Dawn, Witcher 3, Uncharted 1-4, the Surge, tales from Borderlands, Until Dawn, Doom, Wolfestein but nothing with such variety, styles of play, excitement of this months games Plus Crossout and DD2.
If you haven't tried Crossout and DD2 pick them up cause they are 100% free. In Crossout the longest I've waited for a game has been 8 seconds and I've played for 9 hours now and with DD2(Dungeon Def. 2) about 16 seconds with 11 hours of playtime.
Try them out... you will have a blast. They both look pretty slick to... DD2 more cartoonish and Crossout more like battlefield 1.
