What's the best way to get a good sound quality from my PS4 Slim in a device without built in speakers?

I bought a PS4 Slim recently, and it's plugged in the HDMI of my PC monitor. The big problem is that it don't have built in speakers, and because of it I have to use the headphone plug in controller, but the quality is not the best, and besides that, it's complicated to do other tasks while playing. I thought that i could just plug some regular speakers at the P2 on the controller, but i read that it's not safe, and can burn even the PS4 itself. What's the best way to solve that? I'm thinking of buying a new TV soon, but i can't do it right now. Headsets are not a good option too. In fact, I want some external sound, like a TV.
