Why does ign get a lot of hate and said to be ruining gaming news/ media?

People on tons of forums say ign is super biased because they get paid to play games and review them. Then added people like niomi Kyle to bring in more viewers etc . But I don't see how that's ruining gaming media? Can I be put up to speed ?
