Anyone else feel Sony has done a U-turn and are no longer “for the players”?

Putting up PSN price, refusing to implement backwards compatible games but happy to charge a fortune for PSNOW. I read a statement from one of the folks at Sony who when asked why PS hadn’t gone backwards compatible said “why would anyone want to play old games?”
