Anyone upgraded from regular cheapo flat screen to 4K?

Wondering if a really nice tv makes a big difference in the display of the PS4. I've got a 32" el cheapo 720p insignia tv as my gaming set. Is it worth it to buy a 4K set? I would imagine most games are not 4K but I'm wondering if just the nicer display alone makes any difference? My neighbor doesn't have video games but she has a 4K and regular cable tv looks way better than it would on my tv. That prompted my question here.
