So I have a Pioneer VSX-1124 receiver. I have my PS4 and PS3 both connected to it. I noticed when I got my PS4 Pro, that the sound seemed somewhat muted when watching movies. I have the audio output set for Bitstream DTS, but when I play a movie, my receiver says PCM. When I'm on the PS4 menu, the receiver says DTS. Out of curiosity, I put the same film on my PS3, and when I'm on the PS3 menu it says PCM, when I actually play the movie it says DTS-MSTR and I notice the sound pops a lot more at the same volume.
I even tried factory re-setting the Pioneer, thinking maybe I messed something up. But it still does the same thing. Anyone have any insights or suggestions? Thanks
