How are The Evil Within and AC Unity?

I have the option to trade in BF1 and Titanfall 2 with both of them since I'm pretty sick of these two games. Anyways, is The Evil Within scary? I love horror games but most of them are boring and cheap. Does it still have the black bars? And how is AC Unity? Not the biggest AC fan. Loved Brotherhood and thought the others were great including Black Flag. Since that one haven't played any other AC. Is Unity's story good? Gameplay? And obviously I'm talking about the game after all the patches. Thanks!
