Just started Horizon Zero Dawn, GORGEOUS GAME...but honestly can't tell diff between enhanced performance vs enhanced resolution.

I often see heated debates about FPS. 60FPS vs 30FPS + better resolution (i have the PRO) and some people claim that anything less than 60FPS is "unplayable" or makes them sick.

Im about ... 4 hours in . i've switched back and forth between the 2 modes like 20+ times now. I really can't tell the difference. I try to pick various conditions like big full screen landscape backdrop, standing in the running water, fighting a watcher beast.

Are people exaggerating about FPS issues? same thing in NIOH, i settled on using the better FPS rather than visuals, but only cause that is always the stated "obvious" choice.

Is it possible that im just too old to see the difference in 30FPS? Like how teenagers and kids can hear high pitched sounds that older adults can't hear.

This feels to me like the whole 3d hidden sailboat posters of the 90s all over again.
