Moved into Dorm, can't login to WiFi

So I just bought a new PS4 Slim so I could finish playing Bloodborne and so I could have a system to play with my roommate, but once I set it up and tried connecting to the internet it says that it doesn't support the wifi security method. Same thing applies to the Open WiFi (for university guests) even though there isn't any external sign in process. I know this may have to do with the fact that the Dorm WiFi has a seperate sign in process (school ID and such) but does this simply mean I can't use the internet or is there some way around this. Appreciate any help. Thank you
