My brother and I have been saving for ps4 for months now, and were set to make our purchase until reading up on ps4 pro.

We've been on Xbox 360 for several years now. It's been breaking down and malfunctioning a lot in recent times and as such, we started saving for a ps4. We've reached our goal and saved enough money to buy a standard ps4 with 1 terabyte of data, a controller, and star wars battlefront. We thought this would be good to get us started until we heard about and researched ps4 pro.

Nobody i know has a pro so i dont have a first-hand source from which I've heard about the pro, and everything ive heard is from the internet. Even then many people say it only makes a few minor differences.

Now we don't know whether or not to buy a pro. We'd like to be able to play offline co op games like battlefront when we start as we were able to do with the xbox 360. We also don't want to end up buying another console if the standard breaks down or something within a few years.

Our final concern is that a new console is gonna come out in a few years and ps4 will be irrelevant in a heartbeat. The same thing happened with our Xbox 360 and we didn't get as much out of it as other people around us did.

Can someone who has gone from ps4 to pro explain how much of a difference it makes? Is the ps4 going to be irrelevant in a few years?
