A few updates ago, my PS4's ability to read USB 3.0 external hard drives was completely messed up. 90% of the time it just will not load. 10% of the time it'll show up in the media player. I want to watch movies off of my hard drive. My only choice is to use an old USB 2.0 flash drive.
I also like to move gameplay videos from the PS4 to the hard drive to save space, and now that's pretty much impossible because no matter what I do, the console will not recognize the drive.
The drive is FAT formatted. I tried getting help on the official Sony forums and nobody was able to help.
