Never owned a PS4, let alone, tried online gaming with it. What are the positive and negatives of being a PS4 owner?

I've been doing most of my gaming through XBox both online and off. If not XBox then I'm on the PC. There's nothing too terrible about playing on XBox but, at this point, I'm feeling like it's not for me anymore mainly when it comes to socializing e.g. finding a group to play. I had a good group to play with on XBox for awhile but it eventually fell apart and has turned me off quite a bit along with trying to find a new group.

I've never owned a PS4. I owned a PS3 for a bit before PS4 was released and I didn't mind it but, for whatever reason, I just didn't stay with it too long.

PS4 owners: What do you feel are the positives and/or negatives of playing games on it? I love the library and still haven't been able to play them like the last of us. I was planning on waiting to get a PS4 when FF7 remake comes out but I find myself interested in it sooner than later mostly due to Dragon Ball FighterZ and Monster Hunter World.

Please be civil and don't just shit on other platforms. I'm not trying to contribute to a nonsensical "console war". I rather play on every platform if possible but I don't feel like putting in the money and jumping around right now.
