Old, banned user ID showing instead of current user ID

Before anyone says "contact Sony," I already did. And to my bewilderment, their response was "it is impossible." Seriously it seemed like they didn't believe me.

But in short, when I get online, my old user ID that was banned about 6 years ago (before PS4 even existed) shows instead of my current user ID. However, there is a red circle with an 'x' beside my user ID, and when clicked on it gives error code WS-36725-3. My profile can't be viewed, nor can I recieve messages/invitations.

Any others have this or a similar problem or have any possible solutions? Thanks
