PS4 Gold Headset doesn't play game audio, but works fine with aux cable. What's happening?

Recently today, I was playing on my PS4 using my Gold Headset wirelessly. I leaned over to grab my phone and my headset fell off my head and landed on the floor. I thought nothing of it at first, but when I put it back on, there was no audio coming out of them. I tried many different ways to try to make them work again, but nothing. I then used the aux cable that came with them and they worked perfectly fine. I then tried plugging the wireless receiver in my phone with a USB to micro USB adapter, and yet again it worked perfectly fine. I've had these headphones for more than a year, so I don't know if I can return/replace them. What's going with my headset?
