Hey guys,
I'm a long time PC gamer (I have owned a PS1/2/3 though) and I recently bought a PS4 Pro for games that I would rather play on console: fighters, racing games, platformers and RPGs like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts as well as exclusives.
I've been enjoying my PS4 quite a lot, it's really more than just a box to play games on. That being said, I have been noticing some excruciating loading times with certain games e.g FFXV and even some PS2 HD remasters. I read somewhere that the PS4 supports SSDs, so I would like to put one in mine.
I have an SSD in my PC and it really is night and day for loading screen times and in-game asset loading. I simply cannot go back to using an HDD in my PC. I've never swapped out an HDD on a console before though, is it a pain in the ass? Also, what SATA architecture does the PS4 Pro use so I know what SSD to buy.
TL;DR - Experiencing long load times, want to get SSD. How easy is it swap out my PS4 Pro's HDD with an SSD and what SATA architecture does the PS4 Pro use?
Thanks guys!
