Questions about digital download

I currently don’t own a PS3, but I do have a PS4. I noticed that unlike the Xbox 360, I can still buy NCAA Football 14 digitally. Could I go ahead and buy it that way it would be on my account, and then when I finally get a PS3, download it since I already have it purchased?
