[Not bait] After 100+ hours of Switch gaming, there are some things I really missed on PS4

  • Dualshock 4 is a gift to my hands. I can now see how ergonomically it was designed, playing on Switch I often had to stop and massage my hands and thumbs because it just plain hurt. DS4 never did this to me even when I was new to it.
  • Headphone jack in DS4. So, the Switch Pro controller and Joy Con mount felt much better on my hands than playing in handheld mode... but there is no way to listen thru headphones while playing on the TV. So since I play at night, my only option was hand-cramp mode. DS4's headphone jack makes it so I can play from bed on my TV and not bother the roommates.
  • Online play. I'll be honest, I miss hearing friends and/or strangers yapping on multiplayer and being able to just add or message people on PSN.

There's more, but a lot of it also just differences in the games I play on both. For example, I forgot how tight controls were in HZD. It's amazing being able to fluidly jump, roll, slow time, and have precise stick -> aim controls in combat.

That last point might actually again be due to a superior controller... sometimes when trying to aim my Bow in Zelda it was frustrating trying to achieve precision. The stick -> in game aim mapping seemed a little off.

Anyways, definitely not bait. Love Nintendo and Sony but after 100+ hours exclusively on the Switch these are some things I realized I took for granted on PS4.
