Picked Dragon’s Dogma up during the GreemanGaming sale, and I’m not impressed. I expected it to be a bit dated since it’s five years old, but it’s not great even by 2012 standards.
The one thing that stands out as being well done is the pawn system. The AI can be dumb, but I like how they talk to you and actually contribute during combat.
Unfortunately everything else is either boring or somewhat janky. There is a mission in the first couple hours where you have to escort a cart and it’s just torture. You run ahead and clear the path, but the caravan takes for fucking ever. You just start feeling like you’re wasting your time.
I’m disappointed to say that in this case, it’s just not for me.
