Issues with storage after PS4 shit off automatically.

PS4 shut off on its own while starting a game. Now I have to wait about 5 minutes while the external storage seems to load my downloaded games before I can play any of them. The symbol for external storage appears blinking in the top right of the home screen.

Anyone else ever have this issue or was able to fix it?
