Let me begin with saying that I've loved the past 2 months of games. I already owned Life is Strange, and consider it one of my favorite games of all time. It's such an emotional rollercoaster (Episode 2 fucked me up hard) and is fantastic. Tales of the Borderlands is great, so is Until Dawn (already owned, loved it as well) and Telltale Game of Thrones is pretty solid from what I hear.
However, despite me liking these types of games, I've got to say that there isn't much diversity.
These games to me are all very story driven, kind of on rails experiences. That's a very broad way of grouping them together, but I believe it fits. They're all in the style of walking around, doing something miniscule like checking the environment, and progressing the storyline. A glorified walking simulator, if you will. I hate describing them as that because it sounds awful, but it's the best description I've got.
With Killing Floor 2 as the exception and cross play games with Vita, this really adds up as a very undiverse group of games for PS Plus on PS4. If you don't like these types of games, you probably feel like these past couple of months have been pretty bad. I'm not in this group, but I feel like this needs to be addressed, and at the very least, discussed.
What are your guys' thoughts on it?
