I own Driveclub physically and since the Bikes expansion was on sale, I went ahead and purchased the expansion. However the expansion gave me an error when selecting to download it regarding having Driveclub already installed (my physical disk version). So I uninstalled the disk version and downloaded the bikes expansion and noticed that it includes the PS+ version of driverclub which is more like a trial or demo but with more contents. So all my unlocks from the base game were locked, and it asked me to purchase driveclub from the store. So I put in the disk into the PS4 to recognize my license of the full base game but the game failed to install due to having the trial version installed and the bikes expansion failed to recognize the license.
Long story short, I spent 2 hours on the phone with Sony support to get a refund and since I had already made a one time refund like 2 years ago, I had to get transferred to 3 different departments and explain the situation everytime.
It seems like Driveclub purchase from the PSN is a real mess and this is a warning if you planning to buy the game digitally or physically.
